as I said The Old Nite was a great person , but in no means does that qualify him as a legend. Because he was in contention for top in skills? as I said L6vi , TKS , SamanthanZ , Gearshifter all were too. And since you singled my 87 range out as an example. And why that qualified me to be on that list. I was one of the first high lvl range in the game. Ya so what one of the first high lvls big deal right? Myself and about 4-5 other people were the ones who first got people into range in the first place. NOONE really ranged much until people like me , Blix666 , Graffixetet , Broken646 , Freestone ranged lessers on karamja. After that you saw people range everywhere. Back when the server status was out any name listed there for range was pestered for us to go and help people pk. as far as you never hearing of those players is why I state your showing when you started playing. All the names on that list were the pioneers in thier respective places in RuneScape. Just because you have never heard of them in your obvious sheltered early RS playing , does not make then any less of a legend than they are and demote any credit they are do for what they did for this game.

you consider bluerose a "legend" cause she was the first 99 smith. Zonghui was the first to get 99 in all base combat skills in classic. Gearshifter was the first to get 99 in all combat skills for 123 combat in classic. TKS first 99 cook and fishing ( I think fishing too ) Everdred first 99 Wc , and first ever 99 in any skill on classic You have The Old Nite on there , yes he was a great player and may he RIP , but as far as your reason for listing him , you may as well list people like L6vi , TKS , Samanthanz , Gearshifter and many others who have tailed Zezima or passed him for a period. You list Snake Slava for his range , he autoed BOTH names to 99 , many have done it as well. Musashi - ya one of the first 99 smiths , but so was Iampenguin , Krest , Gormis , Zezima , the fact that Musa dropped prices of an item makes him a legend? my definition of legends and the reason the names on that list are there is because in some way or another those names had a big impact on the game and made it the game it is. ( or as I am told was ) ps: and my name is in that list of range ( remember list was not made by me ) due to the fact I held one of the highest range lvls for the first few years of the game. And myself and a few others created the range craze in the begining of the game.

Only person I personally know from there is bluerose13x from back in rsc long long time ago and I believe she no longer plays as of long ago. Also, I said i THINK I dindt say it as a fact, because I personally ever heard of them, but maybe they are famous for you eh? :thumbsup: In that list you have the first 99 in all combat skill people , the best early runescape pkers , the best skillers in thier time , the creators of some of the biggest clans in RS history , and biggest personalities of RSC.

In this time he had to "flood" the market to gain any smithing help from other players due to Bluerose also flooding with 2H's to try and beat him out. Main reason Bluerose got to 99 first was because she undercut everyone else who got anywhere near her. At this time there were 4 main smiths who were in the contention for first to 99. Krest , Gormis , Musashi , and bluerose. One of the big reasons this whole thing stopped and Bluerose gained 99 first was Jagex STOPPED these smiths from making high lvl rune items. It had nothing to do with the market being flooded. Smithing rune was originally NOT intended to be in game. It was supposed to be the best there was. But there was a huge debate on this issue ( on the OLD OLD tip it forums ) where I had suggested to Paul to reinstate the rune smithing items and create something new that was not smithable. And so Dragon items were created. ( not saying it was solely my idea , but was one of if not the first to suggest it back then ) So with this little history lesson I disagree with you on Musashi because he was asked to stop. And Hohto I wouldn't put Slava in for a range great due to his being banned and suspect of macroing on his second name to 99 range. If that is the case you may as well have people on here for 99 in all combat skills in early years like Who Da Best , RH2 , and many more who macroed thier 99's too . :P

There is alot to be said on this subject. Mainly what you should ask yourself is what makes a person a "nerd"? A high IQ , good grades , playing a game on the PC ? And while your asking yourself this question ask yourself this what makes someone NOT a nerd? Lots of friends , partying , money ? lets say at the 300 employees , 40 hours per week , and a salary of say 40$ an hour that is 480k per week , 4 weeks brings it to 1.92m per month say server costs are hell 1m per month that is 2.92m per month in just overhead. Jagex does NO paid advertising so no costs there. And lets just say according to the 1 previous post is correct that there are 2m paid accounts per month at 10m per month ... that is still 7 MILLION profit. and if his statement of it being say 1m paid account per month , 2 million per month profit. Now I am no genius here , and nor do I know if any of the figures is correct BUT ... DAYAM
