ok so by what your talking about because they are "made" from these items they should not drop them noted? Chickens are made of feathers are they not? feathers stack do they not? so why not note bars since stacking bars from these drops is a bit too much programming.

I have been thinking long about this subject and I think the fact that the metal dragons drop bars is pointless. I don't know of anyone at anytime that has ever collected the bars dropped by them due to lack of inventory space. So because of this I think 1 of 2 things should be done. 1) add an anvil on 1 of the walls where the bars can be smithed 2) make the bars noted so they can be carried and not left behind and wasted Smiths of RuneScape UNITE

I always come back. quit 2 times now for bout a year each but like a bad cold RS always creeps back into things.

I would hate to burst your bubble , but Sabres never once dominated anything. Yes they had a high member count , but that is about it. Not very often you hear anything about "hey remember that war with the sabres?" Sabres like 'The' were more of a political clan. clans like them were never really a dominant clan. Yes they won wars due to allies and alliances. In classic clans who dominated were in order messiahs -- before wilderness was even a thought , they ruled the al kharid scorp pits and lumby Wanderers -- with the sheer combat lvls of thier time BDK -- as with the Wands had the highest lvls and pkers ( mostly due to the fact 80% of them hacked , cheated for thier lvls pking abilities ) RSD -- Dominated our wars and wild ( mostly the ORIGINAL RSD not this current crap ) DI -- once RSD closed

How long did it take for .... Your first 99 ? Your first million gold ? And when did you start playing? I wanted to post this to see how long it took people these days in thier RS playing to get these goals.

Irritating is those "younger" runescape players such as yourself who don't appreciate what us "older players" have done for you to bring this game to what it is now. Without people like myself , Broken646 , Kobiianardo , Graffixetette , Isra , ( as much as I hated him ) RobinHood2 ranging in the lesser caves back in the "good ol days" range would not have become as popular as it had grown. It wasn't until people saw how good those of us were getting with our range that people said hey , range works. You may say it is irritating on us saying we miss the old days but without our "old days" things you "younger" players would have nothing. Where would your precious party hats be without us older players , or those santa hats people are buying. To put it simply without us "older" players looking back on those days there would be nothing. Hell there would be no HIGH lvl smithing if it were not for people like me and many others in the old days who had to fight to keep the high lvl smithable items in the game. Yes I am sure many of you newer players knew Jagex took out the high lvl rune items out of the smithing list for a little while because it originally was not meant to be smithed. So those rune 2hands , plates , battle axes , kites that your enjoying being smithed now you may thank us "older" players for them still being smithable. There was going to be no other items after rune until this came to be. Dragon was not even a consideration then. So instead of sitting there and saying man these people are irritating look at it from our point of view. How would you like it to have someone 5 6 or even 7 years ( as it is for some of us now ) to look back at this time and say wow these guys are annoying talking about back when they had first got that Godsword. To some of us older players it is like the newer age of the game is taking advantage of what we had helped build and don't care. And to us .... that is well to put it blunt ... Irritating

as far as the change from the "old days" to the current there is a HUGE difference in the game play and the attitude. Look at it this way. Old days -- skills were SO much harder to lvl. So a high lvl in anything was a great accomplishment. There wasn't 20 thousand people with 99 in a single skill. Current days -- Skills have become so much easier with the "make all" option , or the fact one click and you can fill your inventory. There has always been a "look down your nose" attitude from older to younger in anything no matter what it is. Real life or in games. And in my opinion there will always be that attitude. With Runescape for example attitudes of players is COMPLETELY different now then it was back in the "old days" higher lvl players were ALWAYS well respected. nowadays there are so many damn lvl 126 I see new ones on multiple cases every day.Back in the "old days" if you saw a high lvl player it was like WOW , now you look and go heh someone who popped out of the woodwork and move on. I used to be one of those "high" lvl players back in the "old days" and have done alot in the early stages of Runescape for players and the game. so to me the old days are what matters to me. Now there are so many people who are maxed in some skill getting it is only a big deal to the person getting it. Whereas back in the "old days" me getting 74 range in mid 2001 was a HUGE serverwide deal. and now anyskill lvling is like oh well there goes another one. Maybe it is the fact that the community was closer back then , maybe it was just there was less people but noone will ever be able to answer this with exact truth. But ask yourself this... If the game was still in the "old days" method ask yourself this. How many 99 skill players would there be ? How many people would STILL be playing?

Angel was the char that got banned, not Wicked. For Metalman92: Tertsi = retired years ago Whodabest = banned, after that made few chars, including P O K E Y which have been banned too. Iampenguin = gave char to a friend and it got banned. Masterlance = banned Gormis = Same thing as for Iampenguin. Banned for giving char away. Equalizer T = Retired/highly inactive. Seen like once in RS2. Dravenstormn = Retired. Had quite big role in RSD during rs2 time. Thehate = Got all skills 99 and now somewhat inactive as he doesn't even have anything to do :P The old bastie is still around... Yes I am talking about me lol. and a slight correction Hohto. Gormis was banned for suspected char sharing. After he was banned from here I played Helbreath with him and his wife Aleshea for a while. He had told me that because of his line of work he traveled and played RS on his laptop. In doing so he had come up with multiple Ip adresses and they banned him. You know how quick Jagex was to throw in the ban towel back then when people lvl'd such as Gorm was. Another name on the list Needamaid , BANNED for the theft of my bank and account years back :P She still has a noob she logs on very rarely. ya know I just love seeing posts like this reminding me of what it was like. These days with all the new updates people tend to forget where the game has come from. And so few of us left to tell about it. Thehate - I feel for ya there. I was ranked up there on that which is wierd cause some of the names on there I remember being higher than at the time. Funny thing is if you look at the date on this pic , at the lvl I was then , and look at my range lvl now HOW many years later? pathetic lol. When the top 2k list came out I was ranked 6th in the game , now I am like 23k lmao just sad.

I was oneof the first 20 players to ever have rune plate. Woulda been like top 10 but I helped alot of older players like SandyTrain , The Great E and others get thiers first. :mrgreen:

After being away from RS for so long now and reading alot of this topic brings me to the fact ALOT of people don't know what they are talkin about when it comes to who was strongest or whatnot. BDK was strong cause I would say 70-80% of thier members were cheaters. Take a look at the BDK memberlist and where are those people now? BANNED for some various cheats. RH2 banned , Sunjon banned , WDB( also known as P O K E Y after WDB was banned ) Zar Family banned , Nitestalker8 banned. So would you actually consider them strong yes , due to being able to macro , bug abuse , and use AC progz. Clans like Wanderers who were the ELITE of ELITE for thier time , RSD ( old classic RSD not this BS people call RSD now ) , Gladz , Sabres , and many others all had thier dominance and time in the spotlight for it. Gladz , 'THE' , Sabres had the early advantage of being pre-formed clans in other games comming to RS and leveling fast and gaining alot of early power. RSD I built and our numbers and lvls outdid anyone in our time. We had the strongest rangers , mages and some of the strongest melee fighters in the game. DI well they had power due to other clans falling apart and gaining thier members. classic DI was thier best. In this new RS DI has power of time and people falling apart. The clan system , and wilderness now doesn't show what clan has more power it is all a numbers game. Who has more people show up is where your outcome lies. Not in skill.
