!! Isometric Wip (Updated slightly)
Awesome, I love the soft colours you have going, works perfectly, it doesn't look so shiny and bright as Iso tends to look. I'm not sure on the length of the parking lots, since you said two tiles, and I thought you meant length? Then the parking spaces are too big. Anyways, keep up the good work, it's gonna be great :)

New Pixel Sig
tttia just explained why he doesn't do anything different. The last time I checked people were paying 6M+ for his sigs. If people pay that much for his style, I don't think he's going to want to change anything. Thats dissappointing. He fails to improve because these people think he's perfect? Its sad that he's being restriced by his buyers, its not as if he's never going to sell another sig if he just takes breaks and practices. yea, I don't understand why we are here giving him critique for then...

My first ever pixel (wow do I feel dumb saying that) ------
gone over to the dark side, finally, tttia? :P pretty neat, you can see you're coming from a drawing background, though :) a different way of representing colours. but looks good. maybe you hould have more contrast, the character blends abit too much.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (lets discuss)
ooh, more serious now, or maybe it was just the bad quality film and sound :) and she's gonna be hot, alright, they do well to stay friends with her :) and if they ought to get one of 7 right, this is the one for me, and I'd gladly watch it for 2h, since it's the longest one.

I need help about programing
yea, I'd also advice java, as far as i know it's also the best for knowing considering working in the future, etc. most programmers who work with it professionally know it well. also, it's fairly easy to get into, starting with VB then going to java is a good way, but just going stright into java is what I wish I'd have done, VB was crap.

My first isometric pixel sig.
it's quite uninteresting, colour-choices, etc. but it sure is isometirc :) which is cool. nice work, now try and do something more complicated :D

Lineart, pixel WIP - update 2
hmm, not sure how to take that comment, hehe :) thanks, I suppose :D It could be the "pixel" titel ;) well, if you read the beginning, I do have a model of it at home, so I mostly did this as a shading practice, but it still feels good that I got the proportions onto the comp correctly :) thanks

Lineart, pixel WIP - update 2
hehe, it's purple and blue :) I might change the hue on the purple slightly more towwards blueish, it's not meant to be seen as a different shade on the armour. But it was very rushed the colour change, although it ended up looking better. anyway, I might do that for a background.

Truth, an absolute?
the question was: "Did the tree fall if noone was there to see it?" so it's not about sound, it's wether the tree fell or not.
-
a random ava
col technique, but it's almost pillowshaded :) you should've chosen a lightsource from the side or so.

Truth, an absolute?
There is no universal standard for morality since Morals are based on opinion. So they really can't be absolute unless you consider opinions to be. yes, that's what I beleive, too.

Lineart, pixel WIP - update 2
If he wanted to keep that leg he would have to change his foot so it was on tippy-toes because legs cant bend that way. nah, neither of you are right, it's just a failed attempt at perspective  hehe. well, i think of them as elves in the future. In WH40k they have all the characteristics of Elves from WH Fantasy. They are in suits of armour, ofcourse, and their style might be abit like bugs actually, only slightly, though. another color scheme, two slightly different versions, one with more dithering than the other, also the leg is moved in one of them :)

Truth, an absolute?
I don't see the validity of that argument. If the tree fell then it fell. My not seeing it doesn't excuse the literal, actual, physical fact that the tree is no longer standing. What I mean is that for an action to take place, there must be an observer. Someone to concisoucsly experience it as something that's happening. You might say that world around us only exist because I'm here to see it, and therefore you might also say that my reality revolves around me, and what I can see, experience. So there must infact be someone there to see an action (a truth in this case, as I saw it for the discussion) take place, and therefore it's subject to the shortcomings of our senses. I don't agree, for one reason; I don't beleive in objectivity, plain and simple, it's a far-fetched dream we cling to, we will always have something reflecting our opinions in everything we do, etc. There's no way for us to completely step out of the shell of human existence. IMO. well, if you imagine there's a smallest particle in the world (which I don't beleive, but for the sake of this conversation) then you could make a microscope with that particle, and see that size particles in it, right? therefore it should be possible to make equipment as accurate as we could possibly need. It's either absolute or it's not. There are no exceptions to that rule. And I don't quite get your last line. You say, in your opinion, that moral truths are objective then finish up saying they [implied] are absolute. @DBP: Willing to bet that "other kid" lost out hard, yeah ;) he meant, are there any that aren't absolute. the moral truths are absolute BECAUSE they are objective :) seeing as they would then be part of some universal standard. I don't beleive that either, though :D

Large sized sketch. (Slayer is back)
awesome, I love the style, adn I agrre a background would be very difficult, he would blend too easily. and I see your purple one in the reply window, now hehe :) Ford Prefect perhaps? did you do them in paint?

Truth, an absolute?
you mean truth is an absolute as opposed to being an opinion? well, I think I'm fairly leaning towards it being an opinion. At least when touching it in this world, the idea behind truth is that it's an absolute. But when looking at it in this world, what with senses ALWAYS showing only bits of the whole truth, making our own truth a half-truth, an opinion. Look at the way history changes because of what we learn, what most take for granted, god vs. satan, USA vs. the middle east, etc. There are many things we all take for granted as being truths, seeing as how we've been told them by secure sources, the bible, pope, old people, the american president, etc. if I was to continue arguing it to be an opinion, I might say that truth is a factor of what we know of the situation and what we carry inside us. Hence there are as many truths as there are people, everyone has his own. In other words, for there to be a truth, there must be a being comprehending it. "Esse est percipi" ("To be is to be perceived") - Berkeley or: "Did the tree fall if noone was there to see it?" It's kinda the same, isn't it? That's my opinion. (Excuse my long post. I hope I made some sense ) found abit of an interesting read while fininshing this post, they even ended up talking abit about truth towards the end, if anyone's interested: http://www.killermovies.com/forums/arch ... p/t-320331

Lineart, pixel WIP - update 2
two backgrounds, I prefer the black one, that one has brighter weapon for better contrast, aswell. 9 colours used, I'm fairly pleased, for being purely for training, I think I might be able to work out some techniques with this pixeling business... :D
