  1. I have it on PC, completed 70% in like 3 hours...feels like one of the shortest games I've come across. Wish I'd get nostalgic over NFS3, but the first NFS game I played was NFS 5: Porsche Unlimited, which I loved :) Gotta replay that some time, going through the years of sweet Porsches :D
  2. with your logic you get a little less than 8 fire towers per upgraded rocket tower (8*50=400), which means that they'll do 8*75=600dmg, with slghtly higher fire rate but much shorter range, so that's hardly gonna be an increase in damage... All Fire Tower method? A fully upgraded fire tower costs 50 + 75 + 100 + 150 = 375 coins and does 400 damage, while a fully upgraded rocket tower costs 390 coins and does 2,000 damage. How does building fire towers instead of rocket towers help? But, fire towers do splash damage. which means they hit more than one target every time. especially if they're slowed down with water towers and walk in little groups. That makes them better than rocket towers, or have I missed something here?
  3. Ditto, except not winning it from a 2nd grade spelling thing, which is odd considering I always was pretty damn decent at spelling \ But I live in sweden and we don't really have spelling contests here :P I did have a C64 before the SNES but don't think I ever beat any of those freaky games  How can they play when they're on tape btw?! Freaky I say. Freaky.
  4. problem is it makes it too easy once you got the hang of things... i could have bought 421 extra lives at the end of my game.. so how does buying lives help you out?
  5. Yes, then just added the top-left water tower. Remember to only have just enough towers to kill the units. Every gold you spend more than you need is interest lost. I scored 4,1k, worse than before, so didn't bother posting it ;)
  6. Like I said, it was made after the Element TD on Warcraft 3. Nice score! Next time you do good, care to post a screenshot of what your set - up looked like? And did you get the 3 different elements right off the bat or did you get income before one of them? If you guys like these games so much, you should check out Warcraft 3. It's got a ton of different games like this but better. I used to play this abit on WC3 aswell, so I remember the tactics I used there. I wish there was a multi-plyer version on here, where you have to send units at your opponents for income...aah, that was fun. Well, I can take some SCs and post to show some stages of my development :P This is just after getting a wood, which I spent on Earth, only to get access to the rocket tower. I just removed the last cannon and arrow towers before the end of the previous round to get a little extra interest. They were placed in the first bend after the first water tower, so that both of the left water towers slowed down the units in their range. But, I didn't pick up water towers at the first possible moment, I first picked an extra 5% interest, and that's why I now have 1,5k gold to spend on rocket towers, which I will, after having "invested" them for another couple rounds. Hope it helped a little, funny game, this :P

didn't work, I thought of a cucumber, only in swedish
  8. final level it said. I had 9 or 10 rocket towers and 7 slowing towers. ugh, wasn't that close to making it, you probably need 12 rocket towers to make it.
  9. I broke 4k in score. The main things I learned was that you earn alot of gold from interest. But I did that when trying out the fire towers, so now I'm going back to combo towers and hopefully the 2k gold I had more when starting the bonus levels will get me higher :)
  10. GRR 3,055 now...must..perfect...tactic...
  11. 2,291 I wonder how you get to 20k+...? I had 3 Rocket Towers and about 5 or so fire towers. One slowing tower in the middle of the map and then just made water towers all over to keep them slowed for as long as possible to have my rocket towers do as much damage as possible. I still died at bonus level 2 though... =/ Trying some more, gotta get to that top list :P
  12. all true :) unfortunately :P true, but you also have to take in consideration the amount of downtime compared to the time it takes to kill an enemy. and a mage aoe grinding in pure +dam/sta gear for example beats a shaman all things considered when it comes to speed of leveling. but shaman are a nice jack of all trades class ofc. and may be easier for a new player to play due to heals, I don't know, I never did much healing, only have a lvl 35 priest. Yea, they have the easiest, but from what I've heard warlocks are very safe to play, but immensely boring due to their slow killing. They just dot-fear-dot-dot-fear-shadowbolt-shadowbolt-fear-shadowbolt-shadowbolt repeat last 3 until done. And they're slooooow. Hunters seemto be the kings atm, especially in BG pvp with silencing shot making them impossible for casters and combat traps, their normal wing clip and disorienting shot just normally good against everyone ;) sorry if I was very negative to what you said Nad, didn't mean to ;) hope you can take it
  13. It's Ironforge :o http://www.worldofwconline.com/gallery/albums/wallpapers/ironforge_wallpaper_1024x.sized.jpg I dunno, the towers and gate look fake, maybe look at some shots of Ironforge from WoW and see how they blended it in? Could help.
  14. Some tips for easier playing 1. Use http://www.thottbot.com for quest help. Very nice 2. Use http://www.allakhazam.com for quest help/pricing on stuff you sell/buy 3. Make sure WoW plays windowed full screen, allows for much easier alt+tabbing to the internet, and still plays full screen. 4. Get some UI upgrades like Atlas, Atlasloot/lootlink, maybe titabar/fubar and later CT-mod for loads of valuable little addons 5.Play a DPS class like mage, rogue or hunter. Mages can make their own water+food and teleport to the big cities which I found very comfortable (my 60 is a mage). DPS means Damage per second,, i.e. a class that kills its enemies quickly, htereby finishing quests and killing mobs faster, generating quicker XP. A bad choice here would be the paladin or priest, they have DPS alternatives, but they don't come close to mage/rogue/hunter DPS. 6. Also, I find it slightly easier to be alliance since more people tend to play alliance, meaning that you'll be having an easier time finding groups (not really interesting until lvl 40 or so, but still, more people to play with as oppsed to more people to play against if you are horde) hmm, that's all for now, if are wondering more, and don't find any answers from the knowledeable people checking this thread you can send me a pm, I like to help people get addicted to WoW. Myself I'm quitting next friday when uni starts, but good luck to you hehe ;)
  15. 1. Most people are level 60 and spend alot of time in the big city, Ironforge/Orgrimmar, so go there to see more people, you wont find many in the low level areas. There's a reason it's called Lagforge... 2. Hmm, well, tbh, I don't get much from sitting less than 2 hrs, if I do want to game seriously I need to sit at the very least 2 hours to do a bunch of quests at one time, you could spend less time just gathering quests though, but that's just plain dull, better to game for longer each time and do a little of both. 3. 17 days on first, second lvl 55 and 7 days played. 4. 16th in Sweden, the events around it have started just recently.
  16. You have missed the whole point of the sport. Just as I miss the whole point of American Football and baseball. They just make no sense to me. What's odd though is that you played soccer for 11 years and didn't get the point. I always thoguht it was because americans didn't play it they didn't understand it, and that in certain groups who did play it, it was appreciated, like it is in europe. But I see I was wrong. It's probably more about tradition. My dad played in the second highest division of sweden, his cousin in the highest, every kid in their village played it, and it was almost the same in my old hometown. We always played in on schoolbreaks and in PE, so that could be why, we're just growing up with it more positively, and learn to appreciate the nice plays. But that's just me, likeing hte nice plays, most people probably watch it because everyone else does, to join the community side of things, "to be part of something greater". Worthless IMO, but many people do look for that I think. (Btw, I'm 20 now, played soccer for 16 years and have been getting payed for the past 3 years. Maybe I'll make it pro some day)

Well, the invisble lines are crazy, I'll admit, but I'm not superstitious and won't hit myself over the head if I walk on one of them, but it's the only way of explaining why I do it...there's really no reason. And I CAN walk normally too, without thinking about it, it's mostly when walking alone I think about it. :D Yup, got that one too, also, I might think the signs and trees shoot these invisbile lines, and I have to kinda dodge them...byt going...under them, or over them lol, not so much anymore, nowadays I drive the car myself most of the time, so kinda crazy and dangerous to start jumping around in my seat lol
  18. Korla replied to Sir_Alex85's topic in Off-Topic
lol, funny one. When I walk I try not to walk on the edges of the...you know, what open places are made of the concrete blocks or whatever. Also, cracks on board walks are dangerous to walk on, not to mention that signs send out invisible lines I am not to walk on, if I want to...well...go on I suppose. And tires from cars, etc. Anything shoots invisible lines. So when I walk I still want to look normal, right? So I must choose what length I have on my steps, so as not to walk on the lines, and if I do, I feel really bad :P well, not really bad, just like I failed...GRR oh well, just another bad and crazy habit.
  19. let me ask you, why are so many people saying stuff about the meaning of life, and without even thinking about it, assume the answer lies after we die? To me it's obvious the meaning of life is in this life. I make my own meaning in this life anyway, making others happy, world peace, making someting new and useful to humanity and all the other idealistic things. I think my way of life completely justifies me living. I don't need some God, or some book telling me what to do. Almost on religion there, but what I said is needed to see why I don't need an afterlife.
  20. Explain that some more, Sounds interesting. Surely you must go somewhere? I mean, It's hard for me to grasp. But.. Well.. I don't see how you can just stop. You must go on somehow I assume. Nope. You certainly don't have to. You WANT to, that's what religion is. IMO anyway. But as we are discussing afterlife, there is for me but one answer, our conciousness lies within our brain. Created by the electrical currents or whatever, haven't studied it deeply enough to explain more. But when we die, they stop working. So no conciousness. Might sound harsh to some, but that's what I beleive. However, another side to this is an afterlife in the sense that what we created, the people we touched who still live on, how they think about us, build monuments, etc :P So I say, let the living care for the living (afterLIFE) and let me die in peace.
  21. Okay, and what about all the big guilds? you think they will make blood elves and play them 24/7 cause they're "cool"? I don't. If that wasn't obvious already. Aaanyhow, I played on Aszune with my mage, until my guild moved to Wildhammer, so I moved him there, military struck, I left. A year later I'm back on Aszune gaming on my now 53 warrior, great times. My goal is to tank Raggy before TBC comes...hehe, not gonna happen, but I can only try.
  22. Korla replied to Sir_Alex85's topic in Off-Topic
Muahahaha, I did. :shame: Nope. But that would've been cool You're saying I'm more crazy than insane step-counting guy?! :ohnoes: I thought it was bad but THAT bad?
  23. Korla replied to Sir_Alex85's topic in Off-Topic
    :ohnoes: GRRR :wall: What?
  24. Korla replied to Sir_Alex85's topic in Off-Topic
alrighty, my crazy habit hahaha Okay, lets say I read a word. Lets say, Jerome, Napoleon's brother was called Jerome. Now, you may wonder why I know that, and it's a part of my craziness. Because, every time I read a word, I count. J is the 10th letter in the alphabet E = 5 R = 18 O = 15 M = 13 E = 5 Now, that took me about 10 seconds. So, lets count some more, cause this is nothing, yet, no reason to remember this word out of a millionI've seen in my life. We divide into two parts: Jer and ome so we see that the E's cancel each other out. JR vs. OM J is 3 less than M and r is 3 more than O. OMG, they added up. It's perfection. But not quite done yet, to make things more complicated, I've made mor rules of perfection. Jer vs. ome J is clearly a bigger letter than e, cause it's a capital letter, so how do we categorise their lengths? Let me tell you. abcdefghjknopqrstuvxyz are 1 unit long. i, l and capital i are a half, aswell as period, comma, colon, etc. You know. m and w aswell as any letters from the 1 unit set as capitals and capital l are 1.5 units. So lets do this for Jerome (notice capital J cause it's a name, wordrules in other languages count, so in german every noun starts with a capital, for example): J = 1.5 e = 1 r = 1 o = 1 m = 1.5 e = 1 So, Jer = 3.5 and ome = 3.5. *drumroll* Ta-DA! You've sen the longest word I've yet to come across be determined as perfect. And can you imagine reading books, studying...walking through town, while doing this in your head? Hehe. Oh well. Please don't start doing this cause I told you to, it's an incredibly nasty habit, and I wouldn't want it on my concience to have brought it upon you :P
  25. Cool if harry was a horcrux: I.e. the killing of Harry's mother. And the transferring of voldemort's abilities also speak in favor of this. Maybe more clues in the book...I'll might just read i tall again... Also, wouldnt it be a grand finish to a children's book...a well-spoken lesson of higher morals? heh
