No, as someone pointed out that would be a multi-user-dungeon. A too narrow definition of a text-based MMORPG. Ditto, your game sounds like travian, go to travian.com if you want some inspiration (it's a great game aswell)

On the SNES and N64 Megaman X Metroid Link Mario Yea yea, I'm a nintendo freak. And those are the most obvious characters, but you gotta admit they're good. Other than that, I liked my gnome mage Meldarque, with all the power in his itty bitty palms. and my Female Paladin Luthien in BG1 and later 2. Damn she was powerful, she got all the nice stuff :D Holy Avenger +5 ftw :P

Northmoor it is, hopefully Korla wont be taken in this game...grrr. Hopefully the combat system will change if you can't run out of mana/energy/rage. What a waste otherwise..

Problem with nuclear (1) Well if you use nuclear fusion, you are actually using up more energy than you produce. This, obviously, is a waste. It's quite obvious why only the sun can effectively use nuclear fusion (2) With nuclear fission, there are vast amounts of nuclear waste. What do you do with them? It's been a couple of years since I have studied nuclear power. Please inform me if there is a solution to this problem 1. I was under the impression that scientists were working on solving the problems concerning fission. The problem being the heat needed for the reaction. This being solved by somehow encasing it in an electromagnetic field? I dunno the specifics. When I last read about fission, it seemed they were nearing the solution, right now having made a field strong enough to encase the heat, now the problem is more that they have to find a way for the reaction to keep going, they were up to getting it started and actually producing energy, but the energy used in holding in the heat was greater than the energy produced. I.e. they have most of the fram ready, it's more details and new technologies that are needed before hydrogen can be used as a reliable nuclear power source.

Hell yea. As in thousands of players battling in ONE big map? Defending against hundreds of thousands of monsters. Cause that's the minimum I'd ask if they would make it, else it's just better if they didn't do it at all. So I'd say no, mostly due to the limits in computer power and bandwidth for the people playing -> It would be like Ironforge before Linked Auction Houses. LAG.

Yea, or if they've managed to capture Mirkwood for example in a good way, it's so much more than crisp graphics needed there. Damn, I'm getting hyped for this game :P

And Azvareth's point was that you're wrong. 1. They couldn't just make 2 factions like in WoW. They wanted to follow the lore and it's not a struggle, the end is set. 2. They added PvMP which IS PvP, just not your character. They also let you go in and kill other PvMPing with your OWN character at lvl 45. In conclusion; read more, understand what is written, and don't judge before you've tried it.

No way, football is about scoring goals, the best team is that team which scores more goals than the other team, not the one that can avoid getting scored against and then win on penalties. I wish they always re-played any draws in cups like they do in the...league cup in England?

Earth-shock -> Windfury crit crit -> dead mage Felhunter bite bite -> dead mage Seriously...probably my first Razorgore fight on WoW...man, 40 people working in a coordinated manner to take that guy down is a pretty awesome feeling, beats any 1 player experience I've ever had. Or the first time I was in ZG as a little nubbin, sweet times.
