Is there evil?
Well my english class had a discussion on wether evil is in everyone or not. But i came up with a third option. Is there even such a thing as evil? I think not. How can there be? That would mean there were set rules to life, and that one thing is good, and one thing is bad. But how does that work? Look at terrorists. They feel it is alright to kill others for pleasure, and to make others feel pain. But most others think its bad to do these deads. Now this is the thing, are terrorists evil? I dont think they are. They are people that are doing what they think is right, and just so happens we dont like what they do, so we fight back. Its all about perception. We are brought up thinking things are right and wrong, when in reality, it matters what we belive. Thats my thoughts, what about all yours?

Should a person be judged on his past?
But: One could take it into consideration, and change the working enviornment, or make a job where this person cannot do any of the killing. You may not be trusting them, but your giving them a chance. Edit: and placing them under some restrictions. I dotn belive in compleat jail at all (unless they enjoy it). As long as a person has some freedoms, i dont think yor passing compleat judgment.

Should a person be judged on his past?
The past does not matter, because it is the present you are at now... Anyways, no, no one should be judged on their past, but as Jackalope said, it can be taken into consideration when trusting someone.

Harry potter and the GOF, possible theory*spoiler*
no but his "master race" was blonde hair and blue eyes i believe. ^Correctly said.

I just want to find out what you guys think . . .
:? Thats a poor answer to me. It does not really say imperialism, cause i dont think its actuly proven that they were only after the oil, and anyways, its not imperialism because iraq is still its own country, and not part of the US. Britan is a more Grade A example. It had an empire all over the world.

Harry potter and the GOF, possible theory*spoiler*
Edit:MODS PLZ LEAVE THIS UP! THIS IS TO DISCUSS ABOUT THE SERIES HAVING TO DO WITH RACISM, NOT ABOUT THE MOVIE ITSELF! Ok i just saw the movie today, and some things ran through my head as i watched it... Is the harry potter series all about racism? Thing 1. Draco's father, his hair colour is blond, and he hates muggles... sounds like another person in history who, may not of had blond hair (although liked blond haired people), was very racists and created WW2. Hittler. Yes it occured to me when i saw him, and i remembered how he hated muggles... and his blond hair. Thing 2. The death eaters costume, look at the hat. What does it resemble? (I cant find any picture of the death eater hat so i wont compare). But it looks like a KKK hat... Once again rascism. The group hates muggles, and the kkk's hate a certain type of people as well... Is this coincidence... i dont know. If one reads the whole series of the book, there are diffrent events that bring both sides together (in the new book, fudge comes to talk to the priminister to talk about both the magic and muggle world. Unusal). Your opinions?

Sad but true
Im glad someone takes my side, and i havent seen the mention of evil (dont think it exists). Here is a quote i once read "The love a country makes the hate of another". Basicly, for everything a person likes, another hates it, and some go as for as to try and dystroy it, or take action.... There will always be one with the other... (Also about the bird flu thing, i think thats a terrible thing to think! also its bad, cause like remember the concert in toronto? after sars? well that made toronto over 100 million in debt... i dont think id like the killing to get everyone together... if i would have to pay that...

Actually, it doesn't require absolute knowledge to prove there is a God, while it is required to prove there is no God. It's the difference between a positive universal claim and a negative universal claim. Imagine the universe as a room, and you want to prove that there is a spider in the room. If you want to prove the spider's presence, you only have to know one part of the room - the part where the spider is. However, if you wish to prove that there is no spider in the room, you must know every nook and crany of the room, lest the spider be hiding in some unknown corner. It's the same thing with God. To prove the existence of God, one would only have to have knowledge of one place where God is. But to prove that there is no God, one would have to know every bit of reality (be omniscient), lest God be in some far reach of the universe that man doesn't know about. Therefore, to say that there absolutely is no God is to claim omniscience. However, if you were omniscient, you'd probally fit the definition of God, hence proving that there is a God. Ya but your thinking physical, god is sappoused to be spiritual, is it not? It's really irrelevant to the point he's trying to prove. He's saying that if you can establish the existence of God, then you don't need to know all of reality to prove it, because you've already shown God to exist. However to show God *not* to exist - then you need to show *everywhere* God is not. Get it? There He is! Stop searching. There He isn't, keep going until you've searched everything. :? No acutly the point i made was valid, cause there is no proof at all that a god exists, therefore what he siad didnt make sense. Cause what if you say there is a spider is in the room, yet you cant see the spider at all, but you still feel that its there... theres no proof that a spiders there, only a feeling, and a bleif.

should i ask this girl out? help me out.
How can you say that? You're hitting puberty, you're getting sexual urges to people and obscure things, you're body's completely changing, your hormones are all over the place. Less emotional? Mate you're near your emotional peak when you reach this stage. Albeit, not everyone reaches it at 13, but until then you're still into cooties and what not anyway. Less emotional...that's total turd pal. :? am i just gereralizing now or what? im helluva lot more less emotional then when i was like 12, and that was only 3 years ago... And im not talking about sexual urgues, and asking out every girl you meet, im saying think things through, but dotn go your adolcent live without experience dating.

should i ask this girl out? help me out.
:? Most people dont get this... it is THE perfect time to date, cause your less emotional at the time. And the reason i say its the perfect time... is because since people arnt as emotional, i think its a better time for them to have a failed relationships cause then after its over, they can think "Ok what did i do wrong, and i know that i dont want to go out i with people like that, what can i do to make it better". This is best cause then you keep going till one sticks and then you will deffinitly know that the person is the right one.
