What's the deal with book readers?
Although not 100% true, I would say the average book worm is probably slightly more intelligent. Why you might say? Well look at it this way, as someone has already stated, books give a person more room to use their imagination. Now, a person using their imagination does not have ideas set in stone as much as those that mostly watch TV or movies. For example. Some one reading The Lord of The Rings may have more vivid images and a greater variety of detail in their mind compared to those of a person who watched the movies. Now, the difference may seem minute at first, but there is one. A person who reads the book is much more likely to pick out what the author was trying to say through their descriptions, metaphors, characters, and be able to place those to themes. The movie on the other hand, limits the imagination of the viewer, and is more of a show, using effects and acting characters in order to entertain the reader instead of making them think: what is this movie trying to tell me. Now of course this is just one example and there are more out there that either fit, or do not (as in some have movies that are meant to make a viewer think and wonder, while a book will be there for pure entertainment). How does this relate to being smart due to being a book worm? Well, through reading, it is very obvious that one has a more open mind and is willing to think about the world around them as well as in the book more then a person who is briefly distracted by a movie which has more entertainment value.

I'm wondering this too. My misdreavus is a big part of my team, and I'd rather it evolve so it is more powerful. I'm wondering if I should keep my gyarados in my team? It really has nothing right now except for Dragon rage, which does good against odd typed pokemon, but dosent give me much to work with. I'm also contemplating getting pokemon coliseum or pokemon XD, since they are pretty cheap i think. Anyone know if its worth it for adding to my collection? Plus I do have emerald, but does anyone think I should try and get Firered or Leafgreen?

Facebook vs Myspace
For those complaining about load times on Facebook, do you happen to be the people who receive about a billion application invites and then accept them? It's just like anything else, the more you have going on in one web page, the longer it is to load. Ergo, have less application, and there will be less load time.

Facebook vs Myspace
Except... you know both myspace and facebook both have the same messaging system (except facebook calls it a wall). You can leave comments and send private messages.

An Inconvienent Truth in Schools?
I see what your talking about, but it's still no reason to say "Hey, i'll keep my car on just because I know we aren't affecting the atmosphere and global warming." Regardless of the magnitude of how much we contribute, we should still clean up our life style as the clean up of life style would also help society feel better about itself. It's kinda like washing ones self. If you didn't take a shower for about a month, you would probably feel pretty dirty and crappy about yourself, right? Might as well take that shower once in a while to help yourself feel good.

Facebook vs Myspace
+ infinity! Finally, someone has seen the light!!! -.- I used to think the same way, till I SAW THE LIGHT. Facebook is extremely useful. I allows me to leave messages for my friends in case they want to come over, or it also allows me to leave messages for the school group that im president of. Its not just for fun, it has utility uses as well.

An Inconvienent Truth in Schools?
:? Ok I don't get this. WHAT OTHER SIDE TO IT IS THERE. We are hurting the planet. End of story. Regardless of by how much we are hurting it, we are still doing it. It's like comparing a mass murdered to a person who murdered 1 person. Doesn't mater how much, just the fact that they did it.

An Inconvienent Truth in Schools?
I think it's more then slightly idiotic how people are saying, "This video contains nothing more then political crap and shouldn't be shown to our kids." That is not the primary focus of the video, and if you see it that way, you look too hard into the video are ignorant at the problem in hand. Regardless if Al Gore is right or not, some thing needs to be done about how we are treating the world, and Al Gore gave a very empowering video about how we should treat it.Out of all the other global warming videos, this one may of contained the most politics, but it also was the best in succeeding with its objective.

Facebook vs Myspace
Facebook, the apps are leet, and everyone is generally more mature. For sure it is full of win. On Myspace, all i see is a bunch of gangster guys trying to act tough over the internet, or a bunch of girls showing off their half naked pics. Plus I dont like that fact that your judged on how good your profile looks. I've heard people on school actually diss up people because their profile looks worse then others.

Ps3 vs. Xbox 360
....cute. It's like he thinks he knows FPS...or games for that matter. I would link you to this big 30 page thread we had over the discussion but, to be honest, 29.5 pages of that was just fanboy flaming. So no good there. Currently, I'd get a 360, for many of the reasons Nad has mentioned. Hm, do you feel subconscious desires to insult random people? You might want to see a therapist about that... I really don't see why everyone makes such a big deal about what FPS someone plays. Maybe I can like Halo 3 AND Gears of War AND COD3 all at the same time. All the screaming about which game is 't3h tR0o 0\/\/N4g3d3r' is really pathetic. He wasn't insulting you, plus he was attacking the fact that you made a very broad generalization. The game is not a MUST HAVE for ANY GAMER. A better statement would of been, "It's an excellent game that I recommend for 360 owners". Plus, I used to think halo was the best fps out there, but after playing half life... no way...

Family Communication - Am I the Only One?
:? I would really think your trying to hide something if you didn't tell me and was my son. There has to be a sense of trust between parents and offspring, if that trust isn't there, it is like all relationships and it just falls apart. Plus, why not tell them the stuff. Saves everyone the hassle of them having to intarigate(sp?) you and worry, and you having to defend yourself. If my parents ask me these questions, I always answer. They always back off after I tell them the answers, and everyone is happy.
