  2. Oh man... Now there is gonna be a rush of Americans to Canada to escape the Draft....
  3. I love how most of your advice here in Off-topic is completely useless and no one is bothered by it! dunno about you, but his advice is very sound and useful to me...where do you come from?
  4. You mean a TES elderscroll... which was never made.... was around for a year and a half? sweet.
  5. Wow, that sounded like an awesome week you two. It's so good to hear that you both got together, as it seems a rare occurrence between tip.it members. Question: How long did it take to eat the fudge bar :P
  6. Get your parents to answer the phone (assuming you live with them). Or return the favoure and call his place. Even if he is the one picking up, it should annoying his parents if they are there and they might start to wonder and come looking for the reason its ringing.
  7. I only write, speak, and understand 100% English. I can understand some French and speak even less of it, but thats only because it is compulsory in Canadian schools to learn it for 5 years. Although not a real language I guess, I cant speak leet speak very well, but I can understand it about 90% of the time.
  8. If the fact that this will let you have 400 babies, I'm pretty sure it will do the job.
  9. I know its a girl thing, but at my school, girls always slap eachother in the arse in front of anyone, even teachers. Pretty much everyone hugs (Heck, ive seen two teachers who are married go up and kiss eachother in front of students). It depends on the area i guess as my school dosent feel the PDA is a big issue.
  10. Just looked at the map.... Revenga is closer, sorry.
  11. I'm about an hour away from Niagra falls, But your the opposite way right? I would guess I'm about 2 hours away from the boarder to your state. ...Fine we will leave out Del ;) Edit: Except she would kill both of us.... :-#
  12. Fully agree. We need to stop with these stupid console wars and actually get the companies together to do something as one. Saves us the damn money of buying multiple consoles.
  13. When I become uber rich, I'm coming over there, and we are gonna party, k Revenga? ....If I actually became rich, I'm fairly certain ill get more then you, Del, and I together.
  14. [hide] Oh, let me have at least one child that loves to read, to take to the library and give all those wonderful books I read as a child... Let me see him or her sit on the couch, immersed in another world and driving me mad asking "muuuuuum, what does [insert difficult word] mean?" Your obviously missing the point. I'm not saying go give a 300 page book to your 7 year old. What I am saying is that after they have learned to read, and learned to think for themselves (AKA, High school) then make them read these books in order for them to attempt to absorb some life lessons. Huh? How am I missing the point? I am completely serious, actually. I'd be sorely disappointed if my children didn't read, so I sincerely hope at least one of them does. I myself bugged my parents to teach me how to read at the tender age of 4. I don't agree they should only start to read at high school, they should start to read as soon as they're learning to read. Learning about life happens from the day we're born, not just when we're adolescents. To say that children only learn to think for themselves at highschool, is sorely underestimating their abilities. [/hide] Ah ok, I get you. I didnt mean Kids should only read in high school, but I ment that they should be reading books that make them think about life and give life changing ideas only in high school. To give it to them before hand is a waste because although some students may not have a problem understanding them, the majority will or will not care at that level. In high school, we are faced with the reality that we are growing up and will be out in the world by ourselves soon, so people might take the themes and life lessons more seriously then.
  15. Not entirely true. I do that because i get teh lulz.

  17. I thought the exact same thing #-o
  18. 1. It's not wrong to love a person you are not able to be with. The only thing is, that you must realize that at one point that there will be connection. Think of it this way, If you continue to obsess over them, and never be able to be with them, what is the point? You might as well find someone else to love as there is more of a chance that you can be with them. 2. Neither really... I have no need for money, and I want love to come to me, not magically be at my feet nor do I want to go looking for it. I like these questions. Welcome to the boards and I hope you stay.
  19. Well there are books that my teacher has, and recommends, which I'm sure she wants us to read. Some books are The Hobbit, The Murder on the Orient Express, The Kite Runner, To Kill a Mockingbird, books like that. I'm not sure why you wanted that info, but there ya go. I simply required the information to prove a point. I didn't find any information of interest from The murder on the Orient Express, but after reading The Kite Runner's summary, I can safely say I have picked out a few themes from it: "Do not force others to endure or like activities that one wants them to, as everyone has their own preferences and are different". "Do not make hollow threats as the other party may call one's bluff". "A bully now is a bully later". I've read the Hobbit before, but it's been so long that I can't remember it exactly. The summary is unnecessarily long, so I'll give you the one theme I can think of: "Do not be afraid to try new things, for they can lead to wondrous and unexpected adventures". Now, if you were an adult and wishing that your children grew up learning some life lessons in school, would you not want your children to learn these kind of things? Well that is exactly what we are being taught through reading novels in school. If we analyze books tot he point that we pick out specific themes, we can teach ourselves and future generations many great things about life and how to live it. Edit: only reason I did not do "To Kill a Mocking Bird" is because I want to read the book myself.
  20. Not attacking you, but im curious about what books they have made your read. And if possible, can others give me what they are made to read in high school?
  21. Do a "cross country" run to all the tip.it people over there in the UK for charity :P . And if that is a success, come to America!
  22. Exactly. I'm afraid that the company, my favorite gaming company in the world, is now catering pretty much only to fans. And the sad part is it can do this. A movie and 3 other games from FF7 and 3 games (4? i forget) from FF13. Not to mention Kingdom heart is going to explode soon probably. I really wish the company would try something... a little different.
  23. Now, before we vote on which of the above statements are true, I think we need to define what smart is? Are we talking 'book' smart. Are we talking life 'smart'. Or are we talking general 'smart'?
  24. Square Enix has too much on their plates with Final Fantasy 13 as well as Kingdom Hearts. There is currently 5 games in development by the one company... so don't count on it.
