Hello! im returning from a break, and i havent played since EOC beta. I have mainhand longsword, crossbow, maul, arcane stream, and i just bought an offhand rapier. With my refund tokens from the prayers, what shoudl i buy? My gut says mainhand rapier, as now that i cant stab with long i'll probably need it. However, i dont have a strong sheild and im kind of poor (i died for major loss before i quit) so i was thinking the chaotic kite would be good. however the cool part of me wants to duel weild longs. (if i did that id prob buy an offhand crossbow too.) So, whats best in this Brave New World?

O hai thar! If anyone remembers me, I've been around since 2004. I quit offically... well, the pic shows it. However i had defacto quit for a year beofre that, as i oculd only paly a few hours each month while i was at school. But i finally have a job, and my own internet connection so i'm coming back. Lookingforward to doing the wolrd wakes and the battle for lumbridge, as i enjoy the lore of RS. A bit wary of how EOC has changed slayer and Dungeoneering, however. slayer shouldnt be too bad but from reading updates DG seems like a whole new beast.

so, in general, slower weapons are better? (including membs?)

welp, it beats the crap having to choose between hood and hex/blood neck pre 100 dg like hte old system!

guess i need 99 range anyway :P was gonna get it just so i could learn to nex :P did they fix shortbows, or are longbows still better by a mile in dg?

thanks for the info. obsidian seems useless to me as i have both capes already, and dont spend much time in fight pits :P i think im going to have a harrd time choosing betweein shield and offhand chaotic after onhand rapier. i tried both out, and while i normaly would lean shield, dual weild just looks so badass, and the damage output... lol. still waiting to hear if i rly need rapier onhand, or if im fine with just cls and a weaker stab wep for slayer. (it just occured to me im taking advice from ppl with under 100 posts. (no offense intended.) now i feel old.)

yeah, grad was easy mode before with a yak... and in a healin ultimate and lol. if thats what normal people are doing in dg, DGS probably has it down to -5 seconds. maby ive seen you before, but, PSL? your like the 3rd person online in the past month ive seen that was from there/fort pierce. weird o.o (former resident :P)

Hey there. I retired about 3 months back, (canceled membs) but before that there was about a year where i would log in less than 4 hours a week, if that. so im up to date on most of the updates in that time, but not nessisarily their impacts. i played the eoc beta, so i know how it works. what i dont know is how it affected several of my favorite areas. (id consider coming back, but id need a job and my own internets 1st.) EOC: how difficult is gwd/ bossing in general compared to before? in same vein, dominion tower? i never had time to finish it but it was on my list. ive heard slayer xp is much faster now. i belive it if everything rly is multi cb. if using abilities, max cb with ext pots, how much xp/hr on a average task now? is kill stealing/overcannoning a problem? DG: how hard is it now? my only contact with it was when beta 1st came out, and it was freaking impossible :P if there are any DungeonSweepers here, whats the reccomended binds now that we can have 10? (99 dg, so 100 not far off.) speaking of dg, i got refund tokens from prayers/ surgebox. im thinking now that there's only 1 att style per wep, its time to give in and finally buy a rapier. (former cls pride, lol. already have maul and ccb too.) tho the other part of me wants to buy a chaotic sheild or offhand rapier... :P and now when i open the equip scren, it might as well be written in chineese put through an engima machine. any easy way to translate it to the old system so i can start learning it? ( i still round hits down to the nearest 10, lol.) Recent updates: obsidian armor? it sounded niche item status to me. player owned ports, whats the general concensus? it sounded really interesting to me, and i have 3 of the nessisary skills. (a really high lvl update ftw?!) also, how do the armors stack up, and can you assist for the untradable versions? (my gut says no.) Edit: is it just me, or didn't H&A used to be alot busier...?

...gotta leave you all behind and faaace the truth. and that truth is im bored of this game. between most of my friends leaving, accomplishing most of my goals (or having them so far out of reach i dont feel like chasing them down) and the advent of microtransactions ingame, i dont really see much incentive to keep playing. I'm a long time veteran (8 years accourding to hans) but for the past year whaile i was in school i wasnt able to play much. even when i could, i found myself not caring enough to do special one time events, things i would normaly try very hard to do. heck, the main reason i was still subbed was for loalty points. But being a veteran i also know noone ever fully quits rs. i may log in to do holiday events, but as a f2p'r. I may come back one day, but I don't know when. (i still see potential in the game, even if i dont like some recent developments.) I still think tip.it is an awesome community, even if there's been somewhat of a split between "casuals" and "effciency" players. (there also seemed to be less hostility in the old days, but i'm quite aware of the nolstalgia filter and this may not be true.) but I digress. Hey there. im trying to get my 1st cape from the kiln. (ive been away and havent had time to do it.) My gear: (Aura is sharpshooter, have greater reverence but had to reclaim it, so its charging as you can see.) Couple questions: Is it worth upgrading to diamond bolts? Can i get away with not using Storm of arma, or using it without the staff? if i dont bring it, should i bring blood barrage instead? is karils better than royal dhide? (forgot to put rune pick in this pic) Can someone lend me a dragon pick? I'm open to other gear suggestions, but as you can see, i dont have much cash atm and would prefer to not have to go make money right now. but if you feel its really nessissary i can go make money. I dont have any super prayers, worth making over sup rest flasks? Are there any "Must see" video guides i should watch first? Note: i have'nt unlocked much of anything in dominion tower.

while i agree with you, some weapons just dont have a use without a spec. the godswords will be hit hard if thier spec isnt readded, because then the difference would just be cosmetic. and the main reason to have EE Excalibur is to have a good healing spec. making it an offhand whip dos'nt really compensate for the loss of that imo.
