Vengeance plus Ring ?
ring is 25% (rounded down) so 1-7 damage on you returns 1, 8-11 returns 2 12-15 returns 3 etc i asume with vengeance its the same way... so you can return 100% damage theoretically... So a reasonable max hit from a whip (41 damage, not accounting for for cape and beserker ring - too expensive) Will return 40 damage to your attacker Having a DDS spec standing by on auto retalliate, will add another potential 35-35-6 So you could possibly potentially do 116 damage in 1 attack... Beat that dharok :P

the new requirements and new spawns and fermenting vat dont have to be seperate.. how about you need 50 cooking to go into the basement, where you'll find the fermenting vat and various spawns... the forest north of it could be used to put a field (grain, milk, meat)

Nah. Things like this is what made the game a lot more special compared to now, and if you weren't playing back then you don't deserve the privilidge of having a real close community and strong interaction between players and mods. and thats why we have clans now :)

You miss my point... You wanna cast Ancient and Lunar spells, but that forces you into making tablets (albeit just house tabs still, if you got a nice house), if you still wanna get around efficiently... It's not so much what you CAN do with a certain spell book, but its hat you CANNOT do that matters... One of them is being able to get QUICKLY to Lunar Isle, be it to switch to Lunar or back to Modern from Ancients, or any other reason (Lyre isnt exactly quick, let alone as convinient as runes)... If it were up to me, a transport hub as centralized as Rellekka, deserves a tele by using a spell, not an item that puts you outside of the front gate...

I agree that having tablets is usefull... Especially house tablets when you got your house in a nice location, as well as having 6 portals and a glory However, tablet teleports arent gonna cover for the fact that you need to go to the moon clan outpost, or any other out of the way Lunar and Ancient tele spots other then Canifis... And then theres the Bank space issue as well... Having new Lunar armor as well as your tablets isnt much usefull of just runes would cover it

dude glory ammy for draynor, cath for that one, ecto for port, and that karzid port for ardy, (lil run super energy ftw) if you are doing trees its rough, but house helps that as well as tele tabs. this is a slay farmer spell update. its decent, specially since i've been doing those alot. fish guild tele seems closer to ardy farm patches to me then khazard...

So there I was... Thinking... THREE mage books now... And the 2 places to switch between the three are very very far off the normal grid... So I thought I'd make a usefull thread about these... Someone already made a thread about which Spell Book we like best... So I will not go into that... Instead, I wanna have the cake, and eat it too... I want quick switches from spell book to spell book whenever I like without having to go through miles and miles of walking, obscure teleports, and boat rides just to get where I have to be, only to realise that with my CURRENT spellbook, I cannot get fast to where I wanna be... This must be frustrating... I want to be at Pest control with my Ancients, and I want to be helping my mate fight Damis by magicly sharing pots, hp, spec and the whole nine yards with him, and I want to still be able to get around the world with all the normal Teleports, because i got stuff to alch too. So a short guide on where each spell and "state of spell book" can take you. Ancients: Forget about ever going much further west then f2p areas can take you. Unless you use portals to go to Ardougne or Yanille, you're pretty much stuck with less convinient methods, such as Teleport Crystal to Lletya, Ring of Dueling for Castlewars, Pharaoh's Sceptre for the deep desert, or the Gnomish Teleports and Fairy rings. To switch fast TO Ancients, use the Camulet to bring you into the near area, or use the Pharaoh's Sceptre to bring you right at the relevant Pyramid (Jaldraocht) To switch FROM Ancients to Modern, you can use both the Astral altar (pray twice) or just the Ancients Altar. To go from Ancient to Lunar you pray just once at the Astral altar. Modern is easy, either altar will help you switch back to Modern Magiks. When you're on Ancient ask a TeLunar to help out (read below), otherwise make your own way to either Altar. Credits to Beserk Mode for finding out about switching from Ancient to Lunar to Modern by praying twice at the Astral altar Which brings me to Lunar Magiks and TeLunars. Its a very long haul to actually get to that altar from anywhere. When only using regular Teleports, you have to go to Camelot, then north to Rellekka, ride a boat, and then walk some more. This route can be cut short by both Fairy Rings and the Lyre, but it is still a long walk. So how do you get there faster? Well, luckily the Lunatics (huh?) have a very nice spell book, which also allows the people around you to come along (provided they have done the quest ofcourse), which very much works like the Teleport Obelisks in the Wilderness (did noone notice this?) I am proposing, that people advertise themselves as TeLunars. What is a Telunar? - Has completed Lunar Diplomacy - Has level 70 Magic - Has current spellbook on Lunar Magiks - Is willing to help out - Wears the Lunar Helm and Amulet - Asks in the busier areas if anyone need a ride to Lunar Isle How does this work? The TeLunar will ask if anyone needs a ride, Or someone asks if there are any TeLunars around. Those that do cough up the runes needed (2 Astral, 1 Law and 4 Earth). The TeLunar announces that he is going to cast the spell Everyone (except the noobs who dont have "Accept Aid" on) gets teleported to the Lunar Isle Everyone thanks the TeLunar, and gives him a few coins for his trouble. This could work for other locations as well, like Khazard(why?), Fishing guild, Catherby (tele other anyone?)... Please post thoughts about this :) For reference sake, here are some often used teleports that will bring you closer to tap into less often used teleport hubs: Ardougne tele -> Spirit Tree, 2 Boat rides -> Shilo-Brimhaven Cart Varrock tele -> Spirit Tree Camelot Tele -> Gnome Glider on Whitewolf Mountain, or Keldagrim cart under Whitewolf Mountain Yanille tele -> Wizard Guild portals: Seers Wizards Tower Dark Wizards Tower -> Lumbridge swamp Edgeville Glory -> Fairy rings, Abyss Rune Altar exits and Canoes Al Kharid Glory -> Carpet rides and Port Sarim Jail Ring of Dueling or Lumbridge tele -> Gnome Glider in Al Kharid Kharyrll tele (canifis) -> Boat to Mor'Ton/Burgh de Rott/Barrows Ectophial -> Mos le'Harmless Khazard tele -> Trawler -> Port Sarim Lyre -> Boat to Waterbirth, Miscellania, and Lunar Isle Hope this helps you speed things up a bit :) "Traveling, without moving..."

Jagex will only cut in their own fingers if they NERF pestcontrol (cuz getting 25% xp only is nerfing anyway you look at it) First they make a game thats ridiculously hard to win without killing the portals... I doubt very much that the Knight has stayed alive for 20 minutes in a row, it just cant be done... So you have to kill the portals, and we all know how "easy" it is to kill those... So you will get (as with what happened) a standardised Pest Control world, where everyone can be 99% sure that they have a full compliment of warriors goign at it... But alas, all good things come to an end, and before you know it, the "Official Pest Control world" is invaded by people who want the points and their money, but they need to do 50 damage because of Jagex's adaptation to PC... So what you get is an overwhelming flood of creature killers for their 50 damage, who dont kill the portal, and basicly causes everyone to lose the game. Which includes the more skilled people who actually win a game... So this last group bands together, makes a forum (I HEART HEART), and has all good warriors in 1 world, which is kept secret for as long as possible. And they do well... rarely does a game last longer then a minute, which results in humongous ammounts of points (and xp) per hour... And as soon as the resources run dry (aka, noobs found out and invade), these nomands move on... Now jagex finds out that they get too much xp per hour, because they are well organised... And now they wanna reduce it to a fourth... And why? for something they DROVE us to do? Jagex will cross the line if they actually proceed with the nerfing... If higher levels can get 25% xp of what used to be... Lower levels get even less... Another dead minigame because of their own doing... Well done Want a solution to the problem? There are plenty, but few are good enough to be mentioned... I've thought of something that will level the field between high and low levels, as well as make the games last longer so the XP/Points per hour will stop to cause huge rises in levels... Here goes... Prepare yourself because it is as simple as it is brilliant: Simply make the game end not when the portals are gone, but when all the remaining creatures are gone too... Inserting some sort of "mob-up" fase of the game... When all portals an creatures are dead, AND you did your 50 damage, you get points and cash... If you killed all portals (and did your 50 damage) but managed to not kill the creatures for 20 minutes and the knight survives, you just get a point... If you just lasted 20 minutes, and did your 50 damage, but not all portals were killed, you only get cash...

Moon Clan update speculation
The BTS said that there was a new type of magic coming out... Most of us believed it was summoning, and while it is still a bit far fetched from what the BTS told us: Some other key words and phrases from the BTS are ofcourse: matriachical, ostricized (banished), and Rune-buying sailors... So what CAN we actually expect? Summoning little imps that help you run back and forth to a bank? Do we have to turn into females again to get accepted? We all learned during the quests of Fremenik Trials and Mountain Daughter that it was the Moon Clan that discovered the Rune essence, and use magic (which both Fremenik clans seems to disagree with) because they have an altar. We ALSO know that Seercull Bow was a weapon of theirs, to battle the ancient Daggonaths with. So what do I think? Summoning? Perhaps... but you will never be able to summon large armies of wyverns to help you in the wild. New RC altar? Possibly, but if its to coincide with the theme, I'd say it was the Soul altar. (Reserving the Blood altar for the deep end of Morytania, after all the Myreque quests have finished.) Do I suspect a load of feminism? Most definitly... Tell me what you think, and please explain WHY you think what you think...
