  1. My theories: Ivan Strom is not who he seems he is, he seems to have too much ties to Vanstrom. Also why did creatures get past the Salve the second he arrives at Paterdomus? Most of this about this fellow I discuss here. Daeyalt is an ore that cannot yet be smelted. Note that you had to bring weapons to the Myreque in the first part, this may be the answer to some weapons that can kill the Vampyres? Atleast it looks like the Vyre weapons are made of that ore. But it is unlikely. The castle was not built by the Vyres, nor by Drakan. It cannot be coincidence that the castle was built right on top of that mine. And if Daeyalt really IS used as a Vyre-slaying weapon, then Drakan and his Vyre minions would never have been able to take that castle. The Haunted mine was also an excellent sources for ores for when Burgh de Rott still flourished. Morytania is now in decay, not an anvil in sight to make weapons for any resistance. Perhaps it was haunted to cut off access to the Salve Amulet? And Daeyalt -> Daey (die) alt (old)? Drakan used to live in what is currently Fenkenstrains castle (old fenky pays tithe to be allowed to keep it, he even attempted to make a creature to pay the tithe FOR him). If you see what is currently Drakans residence, I wouldnt move back either. The key is that they cannot kill us all, YET, because they need us for our blood. The quests will probably be safe like Darkness of Hallowvale was, until such a time that you will probably find out that they have finished researching and started to work with Haemalching. Then the humans will be disposable, save a few slaves. The suggested "poisoning of Morytania" doesnt seem to be more then mere sewage disposal. Morytania poisons itself, by absorbing the living into the undead armies of Ghasts, Shades and Vyres. So will we need to make Daeyalt weaponry? Arm more of the Myreque? Will we need a Salve Amulet, Rod of Ivandis, AND a Guthix' Balance potion AND a Daeyalt weapon (or not?) to be able to kill a Vyrewatch? What about Drakan himself? Will things start to look more grim first, possibly an invasion into Misthalin first, before King Roald finally decides to send more troops in? Will the God War awaken Guthix and kill us all? :P feel free to move this lot all to post one, just remember who to credit ;) [editted for spelling]
  2. I've been watching the Morytania stories very closely, how Necrovarius turned his people into ghosts to avoid the blood tithe, how Fenkenstrain took up residence of Drakans former castle, and how a few brave people take up arms against the evil Vyrelords, amongst which Vanescula Drakan and Vanstrom Klaus. Naturally the Myreque storyline is the most interesting of this all, but with this recent update and part 2 of it, something perked my interest. I'd like to see myself as some sort of a Morytania expert. And if you haven't done the most recent quests, I will now tell you some about it. In part 2 you relocated The Myreque to Burgh de Rott, and sent Ivan Strom to Paterdomus on the river Salve. This holy temple and the river flowing from it prevent the evil forces from morytania spilling over into Misthalin. Both Drezel (Paterdomus priest) and Veliaf Hurtz (Leader of the Myreque) told you that Ivan has great yet unrealised potential, and could possibly be a weapon to defeat the evil forces. In part 3 you learn that some evil creatures have managed to cross the Salve. Also now King Roald has a new advisor who effectivly stopped the King from sending an army into Morytania. The advisor claimed that Guthixian edicts dictate that there must be balance, and if this balance is upset Guthix will remake this world anew (like the 3 hindu gods?). Sending troops to Morytania will veryliekly trigger another War of the Gods, so the king only allowed Mercenaries to go in. But here is the thing that perked my interest. Ivan Strom, is sposedly human. In Darkness of Hallowvale you learn during a cutscene that the Vyrelords can very easily make themselves to look human. Ivan Strom has great unrealised power and potential. Ivan Strom has been moved to Paterdomus for safe-keeping but was stopped by only 2 Vampyres? Ivan Strom has a name that resembles Vanstrom a wee bit too much? And most of all; ever since Ivan Strom is now at Paterdomus, the king all of a sudden has an unknown advisor with powers to teleport you to the Paterdomus, and evil creatures have managed to get past the Salve. All a bit too coincidental? Jagex doesnt make up names randomly. Descendant of Ivandis? I doubt it, it may just be a ruse. We already found out that Ivandis was not buried on Paterdomus like it was always believed. The next parts in the Myreque storyline will tell us, but I have a feeling that I am right on this one: Ivan Strom is a Vyrelord in disguise, or atleast in service of them, and not the descendant of Ivandis. (or we could see a cutscene with Vanstrom Klause standing over Ivan: "Ivan, I am your father!") discuss please.
  3. Yeah my last one was genius... Problem is that it's usually pretty hard to find stuff that noone knows about, yet is revolutionary in its essence... keep an eye out for my next tip tho, you never know how usefull it may be :)
  4. guthix balance potion rod of ivandis probably the items needed :)
  5. dial 3-2-2 on your fairy ring :)
  6. THIS is what they unban? someone who cant learn his lesson for months on end, and showing that by ban evading?
  7. Guys... Glorying to al kharid and using the jail teleport at shantay, or tele to Camelot to run to Catherby and then charter a ship is neither faster nor cheaper... What on earth is the point of this? [sARCASM] "Here use a super strength potion to increase strength" Nah i got normal strength [/sARCASM]
  8. does the salve work on ankous
  9. ME2 and Deathcraft? Myreque storyline leading up to Bloodcraft? much requested Crossbows? The many and much needed GFX updates? RFD, finally introducing armored gauntlets? Food that heals 22 in 1 bite and is easy to make? (ok that last one is biased)
  10. In light of the reactions on my previous tip, here is another of your Stormrage Favorites: How to get to Pestcontrol quickly. Required: Glory, and 30gp (or Activated Ring of Charos) Procedure: Glory to Karamja Take the Boat ot Port Sarim Take the Boat to the Void Knight Outpost The entire procedure takes less then 40 seconds, including travel time.
  11. i always liked my pestcontrol outfit: Warrior helm Initiate platelegs and platebody Rune defender Barrows gloves Climbing boots Glory Obby cape I use a DDS to spec with, and then switch to DScimi Continuously praying for better attack and strength as well... With 72 attack and 75 strength, its easy to get your 50 points on the portal.
  12. Request to be moved to Archive of Wisdom. Thank you
  13. It works for everyone with a mounted glory in their house, as well as an oak workbench as tool store 1 Must also have 40 magic for the teleport to house, and the appropriate level to make earth runes... other then that, have completed the zamorak mage miniquest :) that'd be it :)
  14. Did you completely miss the part where I said: "Faster then Varrock east bank, Cheaper then using your servant"?
  15. i knew it :) duke freedom, watch the construction xp total go up again :P
  16. Dunno why... but they said no at some point to POH's...
  17. I dont think pouches fit logs  Pouches wouldn't do anything... especially considering logs/planks takes up all your invent space.. Ugh, I guess you can't leave anything to inference. You bring 23 logs. You bring cash. You bring 3-4 pouches so while you're in the altar you can craft 18-30 runes with 3-4 inventory spaces, and those runes by whatever multiplier your level allows. It would require dropping logs and picking em up but it'd probably be worth it. No it is not. Even if you DO want to waste pure essence on earth runes, it is still better to do the earth runes seperately form the logs, instead of doignt hem together... in the larger ammounts (requiring more then 5 trips each) it is faster to do a run of earth runes and a run of logs... One COULD however, forgo the use of a glory amulet. Bring along a stack of laws while wielding an air staff and 1 essence. Craft the 1 essence into an earth rune, exit the portal, plank the logs, house tele, make oak dining tables, use mounted glory to go back to edgy, bank the flatpacks, withdraw logs and 1 ess again, and voila... This is probably the fastest way to level up construction... Wield: Stuff that doesnt make you get killed doing all this. Air staff, boots of lightness Inventory: 1 essence (I suggest buying a few hundred normal ess for this) 1 (or more) Law rune 6000 (or more) coins Saw 24 oak logs Must have at House: Mounted Glory Amulet Tool Store 1 (withdraw a hammer) Oak Workbench Procedure: - Withdraw from Bank: - 1 essence, 1 law, 6000 coins, 24 oak logs - Go to abyss -> earth altar - Craft the 1 essence - Exit the Altar - Run to Sawmill Operator, and Plank the Logs - Tele to house - Get 1 hammer from Tool Store 1 - Make 4 Carved Oak Dining Tables - Glory via mounted glory amulet to edgeville (drop hammer somewhere) - Put the flatpacked (IKEA FTW) carved oak dining tables in the bank rinse and repeat the blue bit will be in the first post
  18. apparently, noone did :) *strokes his ego*
  19. Use the abyss :) Same as with runecrafting, but use the earth altar Exit it, run slightly north, plank it, and glory back to edgy... Faster then varrock bank, cheaper then sending your servant to do it Same precautions as abyss runecrafting should be taken... This is probably the fastest way to level up construction... Wield: Stuff that doesnt make you get killed doing all this. Air staff, boots of lightness Inventory: 1 essence (I suggest buying a few hundred normal ess for this) 1 (or more) Law rune 6000 (or more) coins Pick-axe or Axe 24 oak logs Must have at House: Mounted Glory Amulet Tool Store 1 (withdraw a hammer and a saw) Oak Workbench Procedure: - Withdraw from Bank: 1 essence, 1 law, 6000 coins, 24 oak logs - Go to abyss -> earth altar - Craft the 1 essence, exit the Altar - Run to Sawmill Operator, and Plank the Logs - Tele to house - Get 1 hammer and 1 saw from Tool Store 1 - Make 4 Carved Oak Dining Tables - Glory via mounted glory amulet to edgeville (drop hammer and saw somewhere) - Put the flatpacked (IKEA FTW) carved oak dining tables in the bank rinse and repeat Remember, if you are the one losing a glory to abyss PK-ers, I despise you as the moron who kept abyss-pking profitable... I merged the tips into one thread. Edit it as you see fit. :D -RAHK-
  20. Close, but not quite... The dimension you refer to is called Frenaskae. Guthix summoned warriors from this dimension in the times of the wars between saradomin and zamorak, to make them all stop the fighting. The Wise Old Man is a big fat liar if you ask me. He is very Saradomin-biased, and even though he is "Old" and "Wise" I tend to trust the words of someone who has actually been around during those days. Juna will tell you the REAL deal of things.
  21. here's a myth to bust for ye: Jagex has gotten more and more inspiration from Stargate series... Zanaris = Atlantis (it also being the lost city, and with the actual dialing of rings) Pharaoh's Sceptre teleport is the ring platform (but then squared)
  22. maybe mining guild, but can only be used if you completed the next dwarf quest which will be a continuation of the red axe storyline
