  1. Then the major question: Which of the rewards are tradable? most notably: Imps in a box Black Salamanders (awesome weapon) The wieldable harpoon Canned Butterfly (butterfly effect?) The weight reducing capes The thieving gloves If they arent tradable, how about their raw materials? Do oyu actually need to level hunting to be able to use these things?
  2. So, what does the Rainbow fish do?
  3. Not so much an actual smithing GUILD, but how about this. It requires level 60 to use the Mining Guild, Level 60 to use the Blast Furnace. We all know about the Mining Cart system. So how about a P2P quest that makes a direct line between the Mining Guild and the Blast Furnace at the spot where the little dwarf rides in with his ores. A requirement for this quest would be ofcourse 60 smithing and 60 mining. It would also involve doing a huge favor for the barkeeper just outside the Blast Furnace. In return they will from that point on also sell Mature Dwarven Stout (at like, 100gp a drink). The favor could be to brew a few kegs (from Calquat tree, requires 72 farming) of Mature Stout (Trouble Brewing Minigame for 'the stuff'). During your help on the new railroad you also stumble upon a second chamber of the Mining Guild, with some Adamant and Mithril rocks, which you can use upon quest completion. So in the end it would require a lot, but finally something that the higher level smithers can use.

  5. maybe not... thats why its a perfect place to not appeal to the big fish... but to the small clans (3 to ~60 members)... they can get a say out here, and its said in an atmosphere of people that care. you cant convince me to get in 1 word between the flames of al the supersized clans out there...
  6. A few facts: -It is not an auto-er risk -I would want us to take the axe outside, to take along. (Think usefullness witht he new balloon transport, or simply lighting fireplaces, or perhaps even make some arrowshafts.) -Same with the pickaxe, mine a few ores, smelt them, and smith them to make soem quick knives for a quick round of range pedestal game, or simply darts. -Trees in your gardens should remain decorative, not usefull -Fireplaces shouldnt burn indefinitly, they dont but indefinitly in real life either, and normal fires go out too. -This wasnt so much a suggestion, but rather a discussion about one. If its still wrong forum, move if mods feel like it.
  7. Well, to be realistic, burners go out eventually too. And so would a fireplace. The Log stack could work, but that only solves 1 of the problems I addressed.

  9. Gold leaf or not, Its a pretty significant thing to make in yuor house... It should be quite expensive... Thats why I made this thread, I could have missed certain things completely, and it could unbalance things i havent taken into account...
  10. Have you been enjoying your house? So have I... But the strangest thing has been bugging me and it wont let me go. I always wanted to light my fireplaces, but no logs available. There are trees right outside, but no axe, because you simply dont take it with you all the time. The same thing occured to me when wanting to play a spot of darts with my mate. No darts or knives. And that while they are relativly easy to make, even outside your own house. For those that dont go to the link: Tool store 6 would require tool store 5 to be built, level 66 construction, 2 oak planks and 1 gold leaf. It would then provide Bronze Axes and Bronze Pickaxes. These can be taken outside of your house. Support if you like, but remember the goal of this thread is to discuss the impact of such an add-on.

  12. a few suggestions: 1: MUCH closer cooperation with Runehead. It is the best list of clans out there, with weekly updated rankings of clans and individuals within each clan. 2: A United Nations of some sort, where only leaders and the highest officials of any and all clans can speak their minds. Afterall, it is these people that are followed by the majority of the regular clan members, so their opinions count. 3: Much more detailed "How to build a clan" guide, and also a follow-up guide with several suggestions how you can expand your clan (examples of this are ofcourse depending on what type of clan a person wants; PK, Merchant, Skill, or Hybrid). Examples of deals made between clans (Allies and what is expected form such an alliance, Trade agreements, you name it) that can inspire more of such things. 4: Help people who need a clan with a list of sugestions. Certain notable people, who have an extensive knowledge of the clans out there can help with this ofcourse. 5: Appeal to the little guys. 5 clans of 30 people each will cause for much more interesting reads then 1 clan of 150 people. 6: Re-arange the forums, or allow peopel to arange the catagory of forums as they see fit. If the latter is impossible, here is my suggestion: Announcements (and all its content) RuneScape Discussions (and all its content and include forums Clues and Rate this) Clans Market Place Help and Advice everythign else down form here... Since the forums are rather large, I have a suggestion that will allow quick switching between sections, much like I have on my own clan site (see sig ofc). If this needs to be explained further, have some forum admin please contact me, it is well worth the effort. Some final words... Basicly, if the information is here, the people will come. You have my support, and so also that of my clan (even though we're kinda tiny atm).

  16. I think it could. Nowhere on runescape is a relativly safe spot for massive silver mining other then Al Kharid (remove 1 rock) and the Crafting Guild (remove 3?). Those would quickly fill up, so how about a special furnace on the island for the sole purpose of counterfeitting, as well as a mine with a lot of silver (16 rocks?). Make it that you have to pay 2500gp for every 5 minutes you want to be in that mine (hey, they're pirates arent they?). Make the items purchased rather cool, but still tradable (so people would want to get more then 1 of each item). Then to use the furnace on the Island you would have to pay a bit of GP as well (250gp per time you go in). The new currency would be stackable, but if as you say, each silver bar will get you 10 silver pieces, it would cost you 2500 + 250gp to have 1 inventory smelted, while having the silverpieces and the mould in inventory, it would get you 26 times 10 silverpieces for every 2750gp you invest. You could then proceed to determine prices and coolness and usefullness of the items that can be bought. Any excess silver that you wish to convert back to normal gp can be done at a traders post, at the exchange rate of 5gp for each silverpiece. If you put no bank on the island, this could actually work (not to mention the obvious fee you need to pay the pirates at Brimhaven or Mos le'Harmless (only they know the location of the island) to actually get to the island).
  17. I know that there are quite a bit of currencies in use. Mainly GP, but tokkul is pretty usefull too, and always worth keeping, because it brings you closer to a fury. But tradingsticks are rather worthless. All you can buy wih it are some of the tribal clothings. And while they look good, they serve little purpose. And the machete might be usefull, but by the time you can buy the red topaz one, you're prettymuch done with the minigame anyways. So why not let us by some of those cut gems for bolt tips (add sapphire and emeralds?). Or even better, why not let us buy one of them Goutweet Tubers (hey, make it cost 500 trading sticks for all I care). The parcel service is a nice touch, but why not have the cartservice that goes between Shilo and Brimhaven also go between Brimhaven and Tai Bwo Wannai (costing you trading sticks on the tai bwo end ofcourse). You could even go as far as letting us buy 1-dose anti poisons with it, or vials of water to use for the cure-disease potions you can make in the area. None of this would massivly unblance things, yet still make it worth it to do the Jungle Clean-up minigame. Any more REASONABLE suggestions are welcome ofcourse.
  18. Increase yourfiremaking levels... and probably crafting too... The hot air balloon quest sounds like you'll need em :)
  19. How about a basement with a brewing barrel, requiring you to have 50 cooking to use it. Or what about a small field of weath behind a new door in the back of the guild, also requiring you 50 cooking to be allowed to pick it. Or what about 1 allotment patch at the back, allowing you to grow a bunch of vegetables for garden pies, and perhaps just GROW the weath i talked about earlier...

  21. They can do the reverse too... So if person c and d are friends and one is in guthix and the other in saradomin... Point is; it is not in guthix' best interest to help only 1 team, its gotta help the weakest, for if the score difference is too great, they wouldnt get any tickets.

  24. HAHAHAHA! Swamp paste draining the 1000bil economy at 10-20? gp at a time. Go ahead, buy 40 swamp paste with a team of 6 (240 total)... first one you buy is already 27gp, in the end you end up paying several hundreds of gp a paste... lets asume an average of 75gp a paste times 240 pastes a game, that turns to 18k a game, and thats on the bottom end of the estimates... Ty TehChekt, for pointing that out :)
