barbarian assault problems and sollutions
Theres also a problem when using the horn of glory. It sometimes exits the interface at a whim, but you dont get your buttons back (you only keep friends, ignore, and log out). After that all you can do is click the horn and wander around aimlessly, because you cant do anything anymore, not even use your stuff in your inventory...

Is it possible to record the sounds from runescape?
If so, how? I know that there was a guy not long ago who had all the music form rs... Any insights would be helpful (moreso if what i want to do is legal or not) [EDIT] Dont even talk to me about using a microphone to record it... it will be horrible quality and you dont need to hear me breathing through it...

main quest
Isnt there one already? Pretty much from the moment you start, you learn more and more about the history of runescape (at least, I do, check out one of my older posts through my sig). Other people rather have tonnes of cash, and yet again others just gather up some friends... Aren't these the main quests of runescape?

The simple solution to Pure Essence.
So what if pure essence reserves deplete themselve? It will cause the supply to drop while demand remains the same. What happens then is that the prioce of Pure ess will rise. Then more people see it profitable to have a swing at the big ole gray rock, and mine some themselves. In the end the price of a pure ess will settle somewhere higher when it balances itself out again... So if you want the price of pure ess to rise, dont mine it, but buy it from other players and craft the essence...

what do you think the next melee wepon will be?
I have a suggestion for a new range weapon that could benefit melee as well... In the times of the Roman Empire, there was such a thing known as a Pilum. It looks a lot like a Javelin, only its head would be thinner and much much longer. The effect of this weapon was, that when it hit a shield, it wouldnt penetrate, but because the metal was so long, it would bend, rendering the shield unwieldable due to the weight added to it. Something similar could be made here as well.

What would "break" Runescape
I think you need to remove only 1 NPC to have Runescape completely grind to a halt... Aubury He is one of the main source for runes, rune ess, and pure ess. And with him removed, no new people can finish Rune Mysteries to actually be able to craft runes...

~ Highlights of 2006 ~
Just a few nitpicks: Its Culinaromancer, not Necromancer... And its Pharao's Sceptre, not Pharoe's Sceptre :) But I wouldve added Achievement Capes on there, Fairy Rings, and Royal Trouble (with the upgraded MTK)...

Christmas Chaos
First of all, I think the title is misleading... Having that said, lets analyze whats happened recently: New Treasure Trail items. What has this done? It has stopped prices of things like Saradomin trimmed armors from falling, if not pushed them back up in value, because the chances of getting one are so much slimmer now. Add to that that they have now added armor that is bigger, better, and cheaper to maintain then only the highest levels of armor (which are not uncommon enough in my opinion), and you have got yourself a new "rare". Since creatures are unlikely to go ahead and drop clues more often, and since the ammount of items you get from them is ever increasing, and since the value of these items can vary greatly, I wouldnt be surprised if the new stuff (3rd age armor, Cloaks, Stoles, Blessed Armor, and all that jazz) will stabelize at pretty high prices, especially when prople find out exactly how rare these things are...

What's More Important to a Rank: Pking or Wars?
The fact that being a superior clan according to all previous posters must be decided in the wilderness, sickens me... Theres a lot more you can be good at, and doesnt have to be decided at all in the wild. Merchanting and general richness of the clan is one, but also the policy your clan follows in and towards the outside of itself counts, or how about certain facilities in place that make it possible for everyone to help one another, or even how fast a clan can mass-produce weapons, armor, runes, potions food and what not for wars... I think clans can be measured in many many ways, not just pk or war...

4K Zeal with Red Chinchompas
and what range do you use? I understand that there are different lengths of fuse, does that affect accuracy in any way?

THE CLAN COMMUNITY NEEDS VILLIANS?
Bringing it back to its topic: Evil... do evil clans actually exist? Do we not need to define what an evil clan is first? I'll have a go: To me, an evil man is a person who inflicts damage (physical, emotional, material, or otherwise) without any cause, nor any morals. So what does make a clan evil? A clan that is willingly and knowingly immoral in principle and practise. A clan that commits immoral acts can be considered an evil clan. Now, within the runescape community, only a limited number of actions can be considered immoral; - Breaking of rules agreed upon prior of going to war (such as calling in a ton of allies). - Running large scamming operations (especially the ones requiring multiple people to execute). - Pilejumpers after Deathmatches - And ofcoruse, any actions directly targetting another clan (crashing events, spying, slander, sabotaging, hacking into forums, and anything else that will deliberately destroy a clan) Now every clan can have one or 2 rival clans, usually it was formerly 1 clan, but split up. That these clans are at eachothers throat is expected. But when a clan is out to destroy other clans from within, for whatever reason, can be considered an actual evil clan. The problem however is that there is little profit or gain from destroying other clans on a continuous basis. So in my opinion, there are no truly evil clans out there. But I can only asume that this thread was started to get a good side/bad side argument going. In this case, with the many thousands of clans out there, sides (wether it is good/bad or just red/blue) dont really matter. Atleast, not now they dont. If you want sides to matter, make a forum where ONLY clan leaders can visit, noone else. Have the so called Saradomin-supporting clans declare war on all Zamorak related clans, and have them unite. Only by starting a conflict that you can fight fanatically will you be able to have the front that the wars are fought on widen to a point where you can speak of actual sides. So call out to everyone and randomly declare war on other clans "just cuz yur sara clan" for all I care... And fight mean. And if they flame you on forums, laugh at them, for you know who won in the wild. Wars can then be fought on multiple fronts, with many weapons at your disposal; Economics, Politically, simply with brute force in the wild, and even some of the more immoral methods I mentioned earlier. Then the large skill clans can become economic powerhouses that supply the mercenary pure clans with the means to aid a larger clan in the defeat of another large clan. That is how wars can be fought, and how it makes Runescape politically and on a clan-ary level a lot more interesting.

Would Clans like to meet in a Luxury house?
It would be a nice service to provide the very small clans, as quite commonly, there is always someoen in a clan working a lot on his house. In my clan I have a house in taverly, which we usually use to gather up for an event (its easy to access for everyone, and portals and other teleports, even balloons, gliders and the cart system is near-by), so we can all get our stuff easily and then go to wherever. My house isnt luxurious, but it has what it needs to have for this purpose, and it is in Fremenik/Barbarian style. One of my lieutenants has a very luxurious house, with a gilded altar and everything. We usually end up there, evaluating events, hanging around after while chatting with others, stuff like that. To answer your questions: We do use it, for easy teleports, and gathering up everyone at 1 spot Yes, we host meetings, usually some of my people are present when I interview a new guy, or sometimes I chat leader to Leader. Yes, it is a bit of trouble, because that person is not always online when you need it. Well, everything should be top level (including scrying pools, and perhaps even all combat rooms), othewise why bother. All in all, renting your house can eb done, but your target group is not a big one.

the new ava's attractor..is it any good?
How about a rune pickaxe, will it work with that? Because picking up arrows while mining pure ess could become a good money maker :)

~Accurate History of Runescape - 3rd age ~
And I stated that your answer can be way off because you havent even asked one half of a percent of the total rs population... But can we get back to topic? Can anyone name the 3 people that you find talking to Lord Drakan while you are sketching his massive castle during Darkness of Hallowvale? I know Lady Vanescula and Vanstrom Klaus, but who is the other one?

dragon scimmy or long
I'd have to say scimitar. The occasional few damage extra that you can do with D long doesnt outweigh the speed of a sicmitar, and neither does the few points of extra accuracy. However, specwise (meaning, that your fight is only lasting a short time) id go with a d long.

~Accurate History of Runescape - 3rd age ~
Tbh, as powerfull as Guthix is, his actual influence is that of a lazy oblivious person. His goals are to get rid of evil, but not all of it, and he doesnt wanna be a goody-2-shoes either... So far his balance-counter balance attitude towards the world he created, has left it open to many interpretations, and one could only very rarely be completely anti-guthix...
