  1. Alls Fairy in Love and War prolly one of the better composed ones too
  2. fgfuyfyuiuy0: Asking 500 people who they worship and call that accurate, while 6 million people play the game (of which approx 10% is member) is just wrong... A lot of people worship Saradomin on f2p. And the followers of Saradomin and Zamorak may outnumber that of Guthix, The gods themselves cannot interfere because Guthix wants it so, so the first god TO interfere would be Guthix... Chubbysanta: I picked up this information while doing quests, as well as reading some letters and tlaking to NPCs ingame. It's still some sort of roleplay game... I'm guessing you're a pixel-lover who goes more for the gp then the fun?
  3. I'm quite sure. Malak wants you to kill him (the vampire in Canifis bar), and he was a Zamorakian who imprisoned the SON of Zaros (Azzenadra).
  4. The Mahjaratt were a league of incredibly powerfull warlords each with their own lands. Do not forget that brothers and cousins can often be a mis-used term, and rarely indicates an actual relative. Those lands combined formed the empire that was Zaros' and later Zamoraks. It stretched across Morytania, Wilderness, Misthalin, Asgarnia, large parts of Khandarin, as well as the Kharidian desert. Ofcourse, a massive shift of power as the one between Zaros and Zamorak causes people to take sides, and the Mahjaratt were not a united front on this one. It is by these circumstances and the brief abscence of Zamorak that Saradomin had the opportunity to re-conquer the lands owned by the Mahjaratt who were now also fighting eachother. Zemouregal is one of the Mahjaratt. The Oracle you meet the first time in Dragon Slayer is also one.
  5. All in all: ok-ish... In detail: 3rd age warrior set is better then full drag (bye-bye full drag prices) and doesnt degrade like barrows sets do, but they dont beat them in form of protection... The ranger set is exactly the same as black dragonhide, but has an increased magic defense. The mage stuff has the same stats as Infinity. The new prayer stuff isnt all that good compared to Proselyte, but the Stole (scarf like thing) provides a nice boost to prayer. And since you need 60 prayer to wear it, you can guarantee that you'll see these things used in barrows and fight caves. The mitre (hat) has 1 better pray bonus then Proselyte does. The cloak has +3 pray bonus. Both fo these items are best used when you plan on surviving on prayer anyways, instead of armor, or a combination of armor and prayer. I wouldnt be surprised when this prayer stuff (except scarf and cape), became obsolete at the next White Knight quest (which probably y8elds you the ability of being able to buy stuff equal to rune armor, but with prayer bonuses better then Proselyte)... Everything else is just like a trimmed version of the originals (much like Saradomin trimmed rune armor, there is now Saradomin, Zamorak and Guthix trimmed black dragonhide armor, cool to fool people with, but no stat enhancers). Except for the coifs, but their bonusses dont out-do a rangers hat or archer fremenik helm enough to spend so much cahs on them... Hope this helped determining you what to buy...
  6. There is no runecrafting without mining There is no fletching without woodcutting there is not even farming without thieving (how else woudl you get to a level where you can farm herbs...) So my opinion is Mining, Woodcutting, and Thieving...
  7. Wise old man also says that Saradomin created the world.... Like I said, he is the biased old man...
  8. Player owned Stalls has been suggested... But to go as far as a central trading sytem might be a bit over the top, nor do I see these PoS comign anytime soon... So what really IS the solution? Something that can be done by every player, and is something of a selfcontaining directive. How about you pick a world for selling rares, barrows items, uncommon slayer drops treasure trail items. A world for raw materials for smithing and construction and fletching (ores, logs, flax, bowstrings and planks mainly). A world for fish and other foods, as well as herblore related stuff and seeds. And lastly a world for runes, essence (pure and regular), and bones. This system would work somewhat like falador world 2 does. In certain sections you see a lot of the same stuff sold (like whips at the northern most end of the park)
  9. Thank you all for commenting on the story :) Too bad we didnt get Zaros versions of the already existing god armors, that wouldda been awesome. I do hope to become the most resident expert on these facts, as I havent completed all quests yet, nor those that are still to come (myreque part 4?)
  10. I doubt that the Wise Old Man has anything new to tell us... He even states that Saradomin created the world all by himself, and he fears the Mahjaratt... When you mention to him that you learnt ancient spells (finished Desert Treasure) he warns you to never use them. If anything, he is the Biased Old Man... Absolutely NO wisdom at all... senile old bugger :\
  11. The staff was merely a conduit for Zaros' power. If you've done the ghostly robes quest you should know that Zaros was hardly impressed by Zamorak. Right up to the point that Zaros lifted Zamorak into the air by his throat is when Zaros lost his footing and fell directly onto the Staff of Armadyl, which impaled him completely, and also burrowed itself into Zamoraks gut... The staff can now be found in the Temple of Ikov. Former Mahjaratt Lucien (one of those that betrayed Zaros) asks you to bring it to him, so he can wield its power. You get a choice to be good or evil. If you leave it and warn the Guardians you get to be good. If you take it and kill the Gaurdians you then take it to Lucien, who gladly takes the staff from you. Something similar happens where you have to pick supposedly between good and evil during The Hazeel Cult quest. It is where you can pick the bad side and side with the thieves to revive Hazeel (like Lucien, a former Mahjaratt who betrayed Zaros as well). If you picked the good sides in Hazeel Cult and Temple of Ikov, it will probably earn you some favor with Zaros. If you picked the bad sides, you will earn favor with Zamorak, but then freeing Azzenadra (former Mahjaratt, presumed son of Zaros) during Desert treasure doesn't make much sense. So this is where the gods stand: -Guthix is asleep -Zaros walks the globe obliviously as a cat, but has ambitions to overthrow Zamorak, as you will learn during A Tail of Two Cats -Saradomin has been around longer then Zamorak, and currently the most predominantly worshipped. -Zamorak has many enemies (Azzenadra, Zaros, Saradomin, Seren), and continious to gain strength in Moritania through his former fellow Mahjaratt Drakan the Vyrelord. -Armadyl lost most his power with his staff, and is only sparcely worshipped -Seren has always existed as the Elf god -Elidinis has once again a place of worship in Nardah -Icthlarin has become obsessed with plagueing the city of Sophanem Everyone else has little to no influence left.
  12. Zaros was not really evil, he was just really powerfull and pretty much unstoppable Yeah, he followed Zaros :P right up tot he point where he got a chance to kill him. His big exile? read the last bit of the Ghostly route again... when Zamorak managed to pull the Staff of Armadyl from his gut he glowed with a very awesome power, aka he had become a god. I stated exactly where the 3rd age started and ended. but once again: 3rd age started with Zaros and Armadyl already going at it. Armadyl lost his staff, which came to the hands of Zamorak, who used it to kill Zaros (although he nearly failed at that). Armadyl and Zaros lost their powers (read the main story again for how) and basicly Saradomin and Zamorak went at it thereafter. They both tore this world to pieces when Guthix interveined, and decreed that no god may interfere directly with the mortals of this world. The first age was the age of creation The 2nd age was when gods came to walk this earth (at the time, this were from most to least powerful; Zaros, Armadyl, Saradomin, Elidinnis, Icthlarin, Amascut, Seren, and several lesser gods like the one from Tai Bwo Wannai). The 3rd age is when the godwars began and ended, as I told before. The 4th age was the nomadic age, where many tribes of mortals fought for survival, and when the runestones were uncovered this age ended as many humans could now wield magical powers. We now live in the 5th age at the year 169. A little note: Zaros and his followers all used magic without runestones, this made them powerfull, but not neccisarily evil. The reason that Armadyl, Saradomin and Zamorak alike each took a turn at trying to defeat Zaros is thought to have come forth from mere jealousy.
  13. Because the knowledge base states that Saradomin, Zamorak and Guthix together created the world. Zamorak could not have existed then as he was still a mortal at the 3rd age, which began some 6000 years later. On top of that, Zamorak wasn't even a god back then, and even if he was, he would never work together with Saradomin.
  14. You know the Knowledge Base is wrong... Wrong? Yes wrong... Over my questing days I have gathered many information and pieced it all together to this story about the god wars. I have come forth with this information previously, but little regard was given. However, now when everyone asks himself what the 3rd age exactly meant, I've decided to make a thread about it (and yes, I posted this elsewhere too). Gielenor was created by Guthix, who is as oblivious as he is powerful, it is often assumed that he hibernates. The God wars were initially between Armadyl (who lost his power with his staff) and Zaros. Zaros had an elite group of warriors (the Mahjaratt) consisting of Hazeel, Lucien, Azzenadra, Drakan (learn more about him later), Zamorak (at the time, a mortal, and a general in Zaros' armies), Dessous, and some others. By mere happanstance the Staff of Armadyl came to the hands of Zamorak, who used it to fight Zaros (with the help from his fellow Mahjaratt, except for Dessous, Azzenadra, who got banished into a pyramid in the desert by Zamorak and his followers) and eventually kill him with it (much of this you learn while getting your ghostly robes). Saradomin was fighting the fight on behalf of the good guys now instead of Armadyl. Saradomin had 6 (or was it 7?) great warriors at his disposal (you know them now as the Barrows Brothers and perhaps Ivandis Seergazes who you meet in Myreque 2). Guthix was dormant up to this point (was he awakened by the power transferring from Zaros via Armadyls staff to Zamorak?). He noticed that the world he created was getting torn apart by the war between Saradomin and Zamorak. Guthix then summoned creatures and warriors from Frenaskae (introducing dragon weapons) to end this war. He then decreed that no god may interfere directly in the affairs of mortals, only their followers can. This ended the 3rd age. The balance was quite even up untill now. The wilderness is a place where Zamorak's power can be felt, but also his followers do a good job in Morytania. There literally every drop of blood is squeezed from the people that live there by the former mahjaratt Draken and his lieutenants: Vanstrom Klause, Lady Vanescula and the late Gadderanks. Not to mention Charos, who was Drakans right hand man, and such an expert in diplomacy, he could control the weakminded (Jedi anyone?). But the once glorious Morytania is now badly corrupted, so bad that Necrovarus has turned the townpeople of Port Phasmatys all into ghosts so that they dont have to pay the blood tithe anymore. And everywhere else the effects are visible: The only source of good ore for armor and weaponry has been haunted. The population of an entire town has been afflicted to fade away into undead shades. Canifis is inhabited by werewolves, and in the vast swamps ghasts will attack you out of nowhere. These evil forces were kept at bay because they could not cross the river salve, but werewolves have been seen on the western side of it. On top of that, the Saradominist king is not allowed to send troops in to help out because it could swing the balance too far back. If this happens, Guthix could wake up once again and make the world anew, and all that exists now will be lost. The best he can do is to allow adventurers to take up arms and go into the evil swamps on their own accord. Disclaimer: I have taken great care in trying not to misspell any names. So all information found here can be trusted as being accurate. If you have any questions whatsoever, I will do my best to answer them.

What current 3rd age items exist? Dragon weapons and armor Barrows weapons and armor Ghostly robes Ancient staff Staff of Armadyl (not actually usable) God staffs? (not sure about these) These are the ones worth mentioning.
  16. Like all problems: ignore them and they'll go away eventually... At all times be the voice of reason, dont ever stoop to low things, and then use their atrocities to convince the members of th eother clan that their side isnt the right one... machiavelli ftw
  17. Oh, I'll also provide a small tip: As f2p mager, wear these items Blue Wizards hat Blue Wizards top Leather Chaps Leather Vambraces Staff of Fire Anti Dragonfire shield Amulet of Magic Boots Cape Best defense, while not infringing in your offensive abilities. Also, target people wearing rune stuff, you'll punch through that way more easily. and egt that pray level for +15% mage accuracy... another edge that mages and rangers got recently and gained upon what warriors already had.
  18. You really are a spoilt kid. Can't u see dat if somone isn't a member, He or she hasn't got the money or are in a difficult position?! And please stop acting like ure so rich. God, nog een SP stemmer... Right, that comment was only funny to dutch people anyways... If you dont have the money to pay for membership, through your own fault or not, you dont get the benefits. Theres easy ways to raise the money for this (go do a paper-route), and there are also plenty of ways to pay the money to jagex. $70 a year isnt a lot at all, and if you cant afford that, then perhaps you should also not be behind your computer so much, cuz it eats electricity, and that costs money too. On top of that, use it to find out where its USEFUL to spend your money, instead of pooring it into some game.
  19. Change bronze full helm to bronze med... it looks a lot more authentic...
  20. My thoughts exactly... Range has the best all round armor with Black Dragonhide. has the most accurate weapons in the game. And on top of all that, the most variety of weapons to be used: Rune Xbow with bolts that can be enchanted with very diverse abilities. Magic Shortbow for PKing with a cheap weapon. Magic Longbow for accuracy AND extremely longrange (on longrange mode you can fire to almost the end of your minimap). Crystal Bow (very accurate, and does not require ammo). Salamanders which utilizes not only Range, but also Magic and Melee, making you able to pierce through any armor, and go around any protection prayers. Seercul to further negate the power of mages anf the ability to cast spells. Bone Xbow to decimate your targets defense level and finally Karils Xbow, which has the highest damage per minute rate. Then theres the use of Knives and Darts, and do not forget the Rune Throwing Axe special which can target multiple people. And then theres the Dwarven Multi Cannon, making training go faster then you can say antidisestablishmentarianism. Range underpowered? no Range underappreciated? hell yes...
  21. tbh to test pures out a lvl 25 attack, 25 strength, 25 def, and 25 pray would beat a lvl 1 attack, 99 strength, 1 def, 1 pray or a lvl 99 attack, 1 strength, 1 def, 1 pray or a lvl 1 attack, 1 strength, 99 def, 1 pray or a lvl 1 attack, 1 strength, 1 def, 99 pray Each person would use the best items they could carry. At this point it becomes pretty obvious that pures would own. Now lets mix and match, who would win: a lvl 50 attack, 50 strength, 1 def, 1 pray or a lvl 50 attack, 1 strength, 50 def, 1 pray or a lvl 1 attack, 50 strength, 50 def, 1 pray 50 attack and 50 def would win here due to the items he can wear. So what conclusion can we draw from the data we've collected? Its not good to be a 100% pure, only if the circumstances are exactly right, which pretty much only happens in dueling. However, if you MUST keep your combat level low, do it wisely. Level 40 defense with high strength and attack would be good, especially with 70 range. Strength alone isnt going to get you there. Attack could get you there as there are lots of items which give massive strength bonus to compensate. Defense will make you survive a combat for a long time, but you wouldnt be able to inflict much damage (super poisoned iron dagger anyone?). So my final conclusion, which pure is better. Choosing from Attack, Strength, Defense, and Controlled pure, I would have to say: Attack pures own. Whip, glory, full iron, and a ton of tuna potatoes.
  22. Tbh, a tele to Rellekka inside your house would be awesome... How about you can mount an enchanted lyre, much like you can with a glory? To complicate things a bit, it could require a lyre enchanted with 4 charges (requiring a manta ray)
  23. I was JUST about to say the exact same thing...Agreed, make it so you can actually win somehting, and people would use it... It is the perfect battle of wills, without any stats or equipment getting involved... There is no more perfect way to settle a duel...
  24. Not sure how strong it is on the mage setting, but: On range its equal to an MSB and on melee it is as accurate as a D spear, and as powerfull as a dlong. No matter what attack style you use, you can only attack squares directly adjacent to yours, and each attack uses ammo... the ammo used is the same as its bait. 15 swamptar used with 1 herb gets you 15 shots... Awesome weapon to use at barrows, because it utilises all forms of combat, so you can defeat each brother equally effective with it...
  25. havent a clue how to make them... i have [bleep]es, i have black vambs... now what?
