ehm... The ONLY POSSIBLY way to get hacked in rs is if your computer is not safe... that is not the responsability of jagex, but yours... if you're too dumb to get your own computer secure, how DARE you connect it to thousands of others over internet? If you downloaded something, or went to a dodgy site, almost ALL of the barely adequate virus scanners and firealls imediatly let the alarms blare... If you got hacked, you probably deserved it...

Ok, this obviously requires my analysis once more for the ignorant WARNING: Long read ahead The one thing Macro-ers do, is put more materials in the economy: Coals, Yew logs, Essence (before the update then), Flax, you name it. Why? To sell for gp, and having that gp sold for real money. What if we take the Macro-ers out of the equation? Will prices soar into the unaffordable? I highly doubt it, and here's why: At any given time, a certain ammount of a product (lets use the old situation essence, for example) is bring produced, and a certain ammount of that is used (for runecrafting obviously). Now, if all of a sudden, a large portion of that product is suddenly taken away, taking into account supply and demand, the prices will go up. But then what? Luckily, supplies here in RuneScape are endless (unlike, say, oil is in this world) so there will never be an absolute shortage of it. And with rising prices, more and more people will see it as a good way of making money, because now they can sell for much higher. The result would be that the prices will stabalize, but at higher price. No harm in that is there? It will just cause prices of runes to go up as well. And with that, more people will go runecrafting, just to gain a piece of the action. With all the GP flowing into the RS economy every day, I doubt this will be much of a problem. Just that you will have more GP to buy more expensive Essence with. Its like a loaf of bread now costs you 50 cents, which isnt much at all. Back in the days, a loaf costs maybe 1 cent, again, not much at all to anyone. The loaf of bread stays the same in value, but the worth of your money drops. This is also not a problem up to a point where some people are rather payed with other items then the GP. in real life this is where governments step in and re-valuate the worth of their currency. In the end, who will lose? The fletchers (basicly anyone) who buy their supplies. So you need to do a little work yourself... So what..? This did gave me an idea however. Something like forming a Consortion. What if you formed a very large group of miners who camped as long as possible at every Coal spawn available. And never sold it (using is ofcourse allowed, as long as the market of coals will dry out). This way you could drive up the prices of Coal to some extent, then selling them in small ammounts for huge profits.

RC-pking is for the little engines that couldnt :P TBH If you die while RC-ing at the abyss, YOU are the one who makes Abyss-PKing profitable... Hence, YOU are the one who is keeping them around... There are plenty of guides out there that tell you exactly what to do, what to bring, and what to wear. Use them.

do the quest? So they are Zealots then? They don't sound like hardcore saradomin followers to me. They are more of doing jobs that us "adventures" would normally do. :-k Not EVERYTHING has to be motivated by the religious beliefs... In my opinion, the White Knights / Temple Knights are going for power. In burthorpe they are mistrusted, and in the Taverly dungeon and in the castle norht of ice mountain they are hated. TBH, If this organisation is indeed making a grab for power over Asgarnia, I'd gladly be a part of it :) PERHAPS they might even organise an army going after the Vampyres :) combining the Myreque and Knight story lines.

It has not been altered one way or the other. In the same combat equipment ive always used for pestcontrol, I could do EXACTLY the same ammount of attacks as I can do now wearing the same stuff (untill yesterday, when I aquired myself a set of Proselyte). And no, my pray level has not increased..

The reference goes much much further... The slugs are Goa'uld, taking over your body, obviously. Col. Jake O'Niall as Col. Jack O'Neill, sure, but apparently, this O'Niall also likes fishing, is retired, and still has access to all the doings of his organisation. And how about "The Lost City"? Ok so it's not Atlantis, but the Fairy rings definitly reminded me of a Stargate. Dialing a destination and all that. And then there is the Pharaoh's Sceptre. It's teleport looks way too much like that of a ring platform. And where do they go? Pyramids you say? That's all I could find so far. And a reminder: There is no bigger Stargate fan...

Are people forgetting about the Crossbow? You can carry 4 different bolts, meaning you can combine some of them for different tactics. Now lets look at 4 reasonably-easy-to-get bolts, and see which tactics we can come up with: Jade (Stuns and knocks opponent back, D Spear spec) Emerald (Superpoison, which poisons within the first 3 shots, instead of 6 to 8, like DDS) Red Topaz (Lowers opponents Magic level, Seercull effect) Ruby (Drains hp from both you and opponent) The Jade bolts effectivly disable your opponent, so no attacks on you. Red Topaz disables any mage's casting abilities, as they usually only bring runes for one or 2 of their highest spells. Emerald superpoisons, which as im told, hits through the immunity of a super-anti poison And last but not least, Ruby drains 10% hp from you, while draining 20% from your target. Camp out at the gemrocks in shilo for a day, with a chisel in your pack, and you'll have enough tips. You only need mithril bolts maximum to put these on, so it's not expensive either. I am HOPING that Dragon Crossbow comes out (Requiring you to attach the limbs to a magic stock). And it's special attack would be to have whatever your bolt is, DEFINITLY do its enchanted attack (at 100% drain or so). As for tactics with what is currently available: The best melee armor slightly hinders your ability to range, the reverse however, is not true. In black dhide you can easily switch to dds if your enemy comes to close. The same goes for magic, it does not hinder a mage to first MLB spec with a superpoisoned rune arrow, to then switch to his mage gear quickly and start maging when the enemy comes too close. So for the moment, it looks as if ranging is best to be an addition to another combat type. (and lets face it, most common rc gear is with black dhide :P)

Possibly... But wandering around the castle in Falador suggests that theres 2 more levels, not just 1... we now have Initiate and Proselyte Future updates will almost definitly reward us with Acolyte (green) and Partisan (blue/gray). Who knows what bonusses Acolyte gives, but if its inline with this update, it'd be the same as rune, giving another +3 extra prayer bonus over Proselyte. As in comparisson to Verac: With "prayable" monsters I meant monsters that you definitly use prayer to fight. KQ requires pray, sure, but that doesnt protect you from all its attacks. But now it is much more profitable for people with lower prayer levels to go to metal dragons, for example.

Well thats to be expected, altho I imagine that you need 30 or so def for this to wield, since its stats are EXACTLY matched with Adamant. I expect the other levels to appear too: Acolyte and Partisan (level 40 and 60 respectivly?)

Proselyte armor is better in every respect then Initiate (I did an awesome sword twirling fatality on that motherslugger btw, cool cutscene). Even better prayer bonus, and whats even better, you can sell your Initiate back to the shop. Armor is tradable just like its predecessor, and from the outside (you looking at someone else) it looks almost exactly like Initiate. So be casefull when trading it. PS; the levels go on -> Initiate Proselyte Acolyte Partisan... Stats: Helm: -6 magic -2 range attack +19 stab +21 slash +16 crush -1 magic +19 range defense +4 prayer Body: -30 magic -10 range attack +65 stab +63 slash +55 crush -6 magic +63 range defense +8 prayer Legs: -21 magic -7 range attack +33 stab +31 slash +29 crush -4 magic +31 range defense +5 prayer ALL: -57 magic -19 range attack +117 stab +115 slash +100 crush -11 magic +113 range defense +17 prayer Something tells me that prices of prayable monster (abyssal demons, metal dragons) drops as well as pray potions will take a dive.

A perfectly round world (like planets come close to) would mean that the further you are from the equator, not surprisingly, exactly at the observatory in this view, you would have to walk less to go from east to west and around back to east again. This would mean that in its current form, after walking a trip around the world, North and South wouldnt line up anymore. If any such a world is presented, the whole map based on Squared will have to be tossed out fo the window... Or we're really living on a cilinder shaped world.
