Desert Treasure - The Best Guide on the Web!
Thanks :) The guide helped a lot, but i do have a few suggestions: Dessous is best to protect from mage and go very heavy on the melee defense (including rune boots and perhaps even d sq). Go heavy on the food (tuna potatoes heal 22 each > shark's 20) and with 57 prayer i needed like 1 pot, but take 3 just in case. Also the guy to get the gilded cross to, isnt called Rasool, but Rasolo...

Mage Armor for F2P?
How about just the addition of black and blue robe bottoms? Giving +4 mage attack and defense, nothing more nothing less... I think the main problem is with mages that its pretty hard to train on F2P... The only runes they can make themselves are the weakest ones... P2P can make all but blood and soul, but blood will probably be coming soon down the line of the myreque storyline. Now if f2p was able to make Chaos Runes, but say, not via the normal route. Suppose they have to go through a quest of medium difficulty to find out about the secrets of the Chaos altar. The Chaos Talisman and Tiara would become f2p. But still only Pure Essence would be able to be used, HOWEVER: Normal Rune Essence could also be used. By going back to that quest, fighting (obligatory maging?) your way through many monsters to get a charged token. This token would for example needed in your inventory to allow for the usage of normal Rune Essence on the Chaos Altar. The token would then expire after a set number of usages (5?), and you'd have to ge another one. Wether the tokens are tradable or not, I dont care. I doubt many F2P people actually go to the wilderness for a few chaos runes. Even if not tradable, you could further limit this all by implementing that you can have only 1 such token (like the Skull Sceptre from Security Stronghold).

Interesting find: Bob the cat and the white knights
reeeeally hope you're not seirous....they're the same thing :wall: . This furthers the mystery of white knights not being all they're said to be...There's that one south of buthorpe which has been mentioned before. Actually, they are NOT the same. You become an Initiate by going through all the tests in Recruitment Drive. But according to Tiffeh, theres 2 years of rigorous training before you can become a full member of the Temple Knights order. You then get the opportunity in Wanted! to perform an act of such significance that it could earn you a place amongst the White Knights. Reason for this is that the Temple Knights recruit DIRECTLY from this group, without the people having to go through the 2 years fo rigorous training, due to emergency conscripts being needed. In short: You joined the White Knights to become a full member of the Temple Knights. And you became that during the latest quest by earning yourself the promotion to Proselyte.

Yet Another way of Money Drain By Jagex
2 MILLION people that have done lunar diplomacy???? no way... not even a 20th of that... less then 100,000 people have the crafting level requirement for the quest... some of them perhaps havent done shilo village, or havent got the mining requirement (60), or perhaps arent even P2P at all... worst estimate ever?

Yet Another way of Money Drain By Jagex
Once again I disagree with you tefda :P How about you get the GP reward if you survived 20 minutes, and not if you killed all the portals? And you saying people should hold out with their whip prices... that only works if EVERYONE does it... and then always some noob will sell his slightly cheaper, just cuz then he can go on with his other business...

Macroers and Economy
and then a lot of people would mine essence, and not craft natures... less natures = less alching happening more essence = cheaper essence in the end it bounces back a little...

Farming
Of all the ideas posted above, I only like snapegrass... But how about a bush-like patch where you can pick your own flax? Or low level wheat? How about flowers that you can then use in construction? or how about the plant we've all met? farming the strange plant for some of his strange fruit... and when its diseased, it attacks you :)

What do you think about the huge whip price drop?
Hey... Atleast they will not drop below [insert whip alch price here] gp

Yet Another way of Money Drain By Jagex
This is about as much a money drain as the wizards guild is with selling mystic robes... The money drains are in the CONTINUOUS drains... Barrows and Crystal are only a part of it. Log to Planking even a MASSIVLY bigger part. But it's still not enough... Everyday more and more money flows into the economy, making prices drop like a STONE recently... The other way of stopping the pricedrops (cmon, whip 1.8, dsq 1.4?) is STOPPING the flow of money pouring INTO the game... How about, no gp reward from Pestcontrol?

Drop/Trade PIN
I advise you to go to my clans website, and view the Download section. It has numerous links to GOOD AND FREE antivirus. Some examples: AVG = free, and gets a 4.5 out of 5 rating Zonealarm = free 5 out of 5 Ad-Aware = free again 5 out of 5 Housecall = free yet again 5 out of 5 Ignorance is not always bliss... Most people are just either mis-informed, or un-informed...

Macroers and Economy
Yup, all that is what I meant; Not practically possible. Theoretically probably not even very useful. He's right tho... It would require an ammount of people 10 times larger then the largest clans combined... But just fantasising about how you can actually influence the market, would be nice. The again, it does not HAVE to be Coal, I'm quite sure that there is some other raw product that you can monopolise a bit easier (Runite ore? Clay for the tablets?)

If your anti virus software even allows for a keylogger to be downloaded... and your firewall allows for the information to be sent out again you have not a secure enough computer system... AGV anti virus and a very early version of zonealarm already prevent anything that keylogger programs throw at you. the ONLY way things can get through these programs is when you ALLOW them... i stand by my previously mentioned argument...

Stormrage Tips - Number 4
Well, my expirience is that my tips quite often spark some discussions :) btw, I did include in my tip that it was best for those going after sceptre ;)
-
Stormrage Tips - Number 4
Yes, and pay 300gp per oak plank instead of 250gp... The way I laid out is cheaper then that, yet still faster then running back and forth to varrock... and immediatly lets you use the planks for xp.

Stormrage Tips - Number 4
sorry :)

Stormrage Tips - Number 4
Actually... The best way to kill them is to use just enough of your spec bar so that when you kill the creature, it is back to 100% spec... This allows for atleast 1 Darklight spec on every critter.

Stormrage Tips - Number 4
It has been a while since my last Tip. So time for another one. For reference sake, heres a list of my older tips: Cheap and Fast Log to Planks Shortcut to Pestcontrol Darklight highlighted Having spent 3 weeks in that horrid place, I found the best tactic to use it (duh). What are you after in that place? Thieving xp, or the Pharaoh's Sceptre. This tip is mainly meant for those going after the Sceptre. No need for anti-poison, food, or anything else. More room for the spoils :) I suggest wearing the best possible Prayer boosting items possible: Full Proselyte Zammy Book and Symbol Firecape if you have one White knight boots and gloves And a good weapon (I suggest DDS) to kill Scarabs with. Play the game as you normally would when going for the Sceptre (aka, Golden Chest, Sarcophagus, and then on to the next level, and repeat, the urns dont give squat). Play on High Detail, and listen for the sound. You can then hear the Scarabs coming. Turn protection from melee on, and voila, THEY WILL NOT POISON YOU. You can pretty much run from the mummy. This way you will get little to no damage, and with high enough prayer level, you can last long enough in there to fill your inventory up. When your inventory is full (bring a knife, waterskin and a set of desert wear for the short walks outside of the cities), go not through the gate, but use the secret exit on the western wall. Either make your way to that Simpleton guy and sell your stuff, or bank it right away in Nardah (short walk to the north west). But ALWAYS go to Nardah to recharge your Prayer, and coincidently, your HITPOINTS (hey +10% too). This means you can do Pyramid Plunder in search for the Sceptre AT ZERO COST. Hope this helped once more.

Macroers and Economy
but not impossible. And you dont need to be at EVERY spawn. Just the good ones (aka own all the coal trucks and all the mining guilds) and hog all the coal.
-
A tip for those who do pyramid plunder
How about you just switch prayer on the second you hear the scarabs pop out of the golden chest? you can recharge prayer a short walk away in Nardah... and that temple lso heals your hitpoints... no point in wasting barrows for this... infact... THIS IS STORMRAGE TIP 4
