I think I would agree with you two Anor and IeatWindex, that the points that you made with the huge build up then short follow though but still thought it was a good book and ending. Just read the first Gossip Girl book as well, ive heard good and bad things about it but found it to be quite good and funny in seeing the difference between the book and tv series.

Got a few problems that I would love for your lot to help me solve. #1 - I have my familys old broken computer in my bedroom. I want to put it back together/apart just to get more familiar with doing it but before I start I want to know where a few of the fidly cables go. The cables im talking about are the ones that are running from the front of the case like the USB ports and also the ones that run the fans, basically any of the cables that plug into the motherboard. #2 - When my computer broke it was because of the motherboard. Is there anyway I can find out the like name of the motherboard so I can buy one and get it up and running again. (Also to see if I can get it cheaper that our computer guy) #3 - Hopefully the pictures will show what I mean but it would appear that the headphone and mic plugins on the front of the new computer do not work, they work if I plug them into the rear plugins but not the front. Im guessing that this is a hardware issue although im not to sure. Thanks

Ok people who thought the last Harry Potter book was rubbish please reply with reason. I just got back from holiday and during that 1 week I read it twice. I thought it was brilliant and I intend to read Half Blood Prince so I remember what the film will be like once it comes out. Although it did get a bit slow at times with all the planning and camping around at times, I loved it and cant understand why some people who have read the series dont like it. Even with the 19 Years Later part, that was good and completely needed as without it there would of been far to many thing left hanging, like the endings of the realtionships. Also got my The Tales of Beedle the Bard on pre order =]

The running of the balls?

I personally do not believe in "god". I cannot understand how "god" would allow such terrible things to happen to innocent people. For instance I have a person thing against this after my mother died of cancer roughly 3 years ago. What I believe that is there such a "god" there surely he would not want these things to happen to anyone. Then if he did this to my mother as she was a non believe, what gives "god" the right to decide who dies and who lives. Plus im on the more scientific creation of the earth.

Just adding to my post eariler 1) Im such a pestimistic person, which im sure could be linked back to my mums death and depression 2) I worry so much some times over nothing it makes me feel sick, most likey stuff to do with above 3) I lie far to much although seems to have stopped mostly 4) I need to care about people far more than I do and always think things though as I always make so many mistakes Im in a bad mood, hours before I go on holiday to Spain.

Would trying Run -> CMD -> Ping www.google.com Work? Surely that would establish if there is any internet connection at all or if there is a software problem?

Anyway: Im a fair bit of a worrier, which is quite a pain as gets me down real easy I used to lie far to much, to pretty much everyone but that seems to have slowed down I impluse buy games, which is sometimes good and bad Im quite a realest/pestimistic person

Kinda unrealted. But BO is doing a WorldWide tour lately and I think he is in the UK soon. Anyone got dates? Places to see? Speechs? Done a quick search ealier but really didn't come up with much. We have no right to be there? Im pretty sure we do, cause it was our decision to invade Iraq. We have done what we meant to do, in getting Saddam off his throne but no war has ever been that simple. Although the official war may have finished you cannot just invade a country in which there are now thousands of people dieing and just leave it! That would not be humane. We chose to invade Iraq and thus must deal with the consequences until they are able to look after them self. Other wise, what would be left? A new Somalia? A corrupt nation? Invading a country, finishing the objective, then just leaving? There is no point. For me I think that we are in for the long run. We must and many other countrys pull our resource together to finish the job then leave slowly. This would bring stabilty to the nation which would then in turn be benifital to the surrounding nations. One thing I never understand is that we have a UN and yet the forces in Iraq are only from a few countries doing all the work. Makes no sence to me although one thing I understand about that is that they do not want to seen as a threat to the terroists. Which in reality is stupid as terroism affects everyone.

Finished this game a couple of weeks back before you made the topic. In our world though can you not remember the panic and worldwide media melodramatisation of "bird flu". Apparently this was meant to spread and kill us all! I remember once wearing a gas mask at school for a laugh in the hype of it, but wheres that gone? Havent heard anything about that for ages and now on to like hospital superbugs... whats next? The whole world is coming to an end is an endless topic as we live in a world where anything can happen and any small thing will be expanded out of proportion! On to the actual topic: I dont really think any thing like that would happen. I mean we a "species" have lived on this planet for a while now and we have dealed with pretty much anything else. I think I can remember some lame movie quote saying something like were the most adaptive species alive, we can deal with anything.

Although I have enjoyed reading the topics that have now been locked and deleted, I always thought they were crossing the line abit and well done on the mods for this revamp to improve the image of the off topic area and to keep it to a standered that everyone can read despite there age.

Ha got up to like the 9-10th I think in that series but then reading became a chore. 1st book was brilliant though. Other series ive enjoyed have been the Edge Chronicals although ive only read 3 out of a unfinished 12. Best of all the Harry Potter series. Im slowly getting though reading them for a 2nd time, found the series brilliant and the ending as well. Cant wait for HBP out in November.

To be honest you seem abit stupid. At night theres no way you can really identify that "gun" in your hands for what it is, so who came blame people who running away when some twerp has something that looks like a gun. If someone had called the police over here in the uk, your be surrounded by police officers weilding machine guns at you for holding something that looks like a gun and then aiming it like a gun. In this day and age you just cant take chances with people like you, who think its fun to wander around with what looks like a gun in your hand. Anyway if everyone had the right to have a gun then so would criminals which combined with all the feeling of accutally robbing someone its likely that if you could all have guns, more deaths would occur that without.
