  1. Of course, Snipersas had to barge in and ruin our fun. -.- Yes, we're currently planning one. There's no deadline at the moment, though, so don't get all excited. Planning a good contest is harder than you think, especially if it's going to be much better than any "caption" contest.
  2. The screenshot nor the quote aren't that expressive. It's fine if you like HP, just pick stronger parts of it for your sig. 5/10
  3. Oh, oh, I know too! :) Well, just to clarify the statements of my associates: nobody here has explicitly denied or affirmed the existence or planning of such a contest, be it in the near future or not.
  4. I still fail to see the reasoning behind that. Why would two men loving each other/living together/having sex be a sin? I mean, killing, stealing or insulting can be sinful because it harms another human. Why homosexuality?

Hmm, after drawing a little graph it seems that it's necessary that he'll reach such a point, and not more than one. My reasoning is: We lay a time-path graph. Day 1 is always an ascending slope (as he is climbing up and never goes back), and day 2 is always descending. Because the starting and ending points are the same (but reversed), the paths will always cross once, forming something like an 'X'-

:| I really don't. Having this page open in another tab so tons of people keep expecting my post and speculating.
  7. Please use your original post to get this question answered. Thanks. Locked.

It might seem awkward, but there is an advantage in switching. Look at all six possible outcomes (all of which have the same possibility): You pick the car. You keep it. You pick the car. You switch, and get the goat. You pick Goat 1. You keep it. You pick Goat 1. You switch and get the car. You pick Goat 2. You keep it. You pick Goat 2. You switch and get the car. So, with the "switching" strategy, you'll get the car 2/3 of the time. Anyway, this is no paradox, just counter-intuitive maths.
  9. Of course, childish frustration also brings satisfaction.
  10. I explained it a while ago. It's all part of the game, higher numbers bring more satisfaction. But you wouldn't know. You're not a mod.
  11. Come on, how lame is that? He just posted a huge demoralizing speech. You can't simply shrug it off with an "ok" and just keep posting.
  12. Well, of course you'd know. But it's not fun that way.
  13. The church simply shouldn't have this direct power on legislation, threatening to close their hospitals, on which the poorest depend. -I don't know all the details of the story, so please forgive me if I'm assuming wrongly, but you know for certain that something is wrong with the healthcare of a country when it depends this heavily on charity. If anything, Obama should use this as a reason to improve State Healthcare for the poor.
  14. AHA! You fell in my trap! But it really disappoints me you didn't see anyone special there. Well, let's continue with our lives now.
  15. Please, let me redirect you here. Check today's date. Ok, thanks, bye.
  16. There, I fixed the glitchy tags for you. ;) I started to like Star Wolf's theme after hearing it in SSBB. Most of the music in the game is actually really good, especially the re-arrangements of old scores like Fire Emblem's. And I'm not trying to be an [wagon], but the song there is just Song oh Healing. The Oath of Order is quite different. But I agree with you, it really conveys a lot of emotion. I almost shed a couple of very manly tears at some parts of the game, and the music was really strong.
  17. Check the previous post. "Might" is the key word. ;) And now for something totally unrelated, today I started watching Code Geass. It looks like a promising story, and the setting is great. Too bad they had to force mechas in it. I get the feeling big humanoid machines with huge guns are obnoxious and not "baddass". It's still too early to give a judgement though.
  18. Oh, I'm there! What a nice surprise \ I hope you had some good luck with that trip. -And just as random fact: this is my first post in BlogScape. Ever. Pretty awesome, eh?
  19. It's alright. : You just won't be able to reach 500 and you know it.
  20. Faulty German is not lulzy. -.- Resetting your count is. As I've already said, just give up, and I'll gladly edit the topic's title to "Count to ~300~ ... -sixth round"
  21. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is a means to show the impossibility of proving a negative ("God/FSM does not exist") and how easy it is for humans to make a story explaining supernatural events, afterlife and the creation of the universe. They are compared because, as you said, both cases are pure uncertainty. However, the Big Bang isn't something made up of pure imagination, but it's a theory that's supported by scientific observation and is backed up by evidence. Whereas God certainly is not supported by any scientific evidence. That's why it's unfair to compare the Big Bang with God.
  22. So I'm learning to play guitar. Right now, the biggest hindrance is learning how to read music. So, let's see how this works out!
  23. Nadril beat me to Yasunori Mitsuda :D . I simply love the soundtracks of Chrono Trigger and specially Chrono Cross. Simply listening to either of the opening themes sends a shiver down my spine. Ant the only thing better than these songs are free and legal orchestral remixes of the songs.
