Yeah, I knew they were real bird. I like them though, would be nice to have them as a pet (If you got them trained of course, wouldn't want them randomly walking up to you and taking a chunk out of your head) No idea why I like them, they just look cool =P Jagex should make some Alpacas in Runescape, they rock.

Range Hits Attack Quest If you'd asked me when the capes came out, I'd only be able to say Range.
-
It would take quite some time because 99 is the level cap I believe . Nice article. Pfft, Same thing =P I haven't played Diablo in ages so I can't remember.
-
Yes it does, but in Diablo you don't have to pay monthly fees. And to get to level 100 on diablo doesn't actualy take that long compared to Runescape.

Sort of off topic, but it seems a lot of games are going Penguiny. In the new PES game (Football game) which was released this week:

My Arm's Big Adventure - A SaidinWoT Guide
DarkDude replied to SaidinWoT's topic in General Discussion
Does anyone know if we have to use compost with the patch? I'd assume not as we've already plonked 7 loads of super on it. -
http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmes ... c=31294574 WRITTEN BY SUPERMARIO77 Skills needed: 10 Woodcutting, 29 Farming Other experience needed: Able to take hits from Trolls, able to kill a level 172 boss, 61 Magic would be useful (Trollheim Teleport), 60% Tai Bwo Favour (Tai Bwo Wannai Clean-Up) Quests needed: Eadgar's Ruse, The Feud, Jungle Potion Items needed: Bucket, Spade, Seed Dibber, Rake, 3 buckets of Camel Dung (Explained in guide if you don't know how to get them), 7 buckets of Supercompost, Plant Cure Items suggested: Best armour/weapon you have, 10+ Swordfish/Sharks/Better food, Climbing Boots, Gaming Necklace Reward: 1 Quest Point, 10K Herblore XP, 5K Farming XP, a new Herb patch that can't get diseased (Located on top of the Troll Stronghold) Walkthrough: 1) Talk to Burntmeat in the kitchen of the Troll Stronghold. He will tell you (Through a cutscene) that an adventurer he cooked said that you could grow Goutweed, and thus he wants you to grow some for him. He tells you to go talk to My Arm, who knows Farming. 2) Talk to My Arm a little east of him. He wants you to get a cooked Gout Tuber from the trolls over at Death Plateau. 3) Go up to Death Plateau (The area with Rock, Stick, Kraka, Pee Hat, etc.) and go over to the cauldron with the two arguing cooks. Use a bucket on it to scoop out the Tuber. 4) Go back to My Arm and give him the tuber. He eats it and says it tastes good, then takes you to the patch he's using to grow the Goutweed, on top of Troll Stronghold. He gives you a Farming manual from some gardener he ate. Read through it to find that you need 3 Buckets of Camel Dung and 7 Supercompost Buckets to make the soil up here good. 5) If you don't have Camel Dung, you can get it like this: Go to Pollnivneach (The desert city), talk to the Kebab Shop owner and ask him the Super Spice Sauce he has. Get some buckets and go to the camel pen in the south of the city. Use the sauce on the feeding trough, then wait for a camel to drop some dung and scoop up 3 loads of it. 6) Once you've got everything, use all 3 Dung and all 7 Supercompost buckets on the patch (One by one...) and My Arm will want to go get Hardy Gout Tubers to plant in them. He heard that Murcaily in Tai Bwo Wannai Village has some of them. 7) Another cutscene will play, following you and My Arm's journey from the Ardougne docks to Karamja. After you arrive, My Arm runs off to Tai Bwo Wannai Village. Go towards it as well. You'll find My Arm a little north of it. Talk to him and he says you need to talk to Murcaily. 8) Murcaily's the man outside the hardwood grove. He tells you he'll give you a Hardy Goutweed Tuber if you get 60% Tai Bwo Favour. To get Favour, cut Light/Medium/Dense Jungles around the village and use the spars you get on the damaged fences in the center of the village. Kill any monsters that appear for extra favour. 9) After getting 60%, talk to Murcaily, and he'll give you a Tuber. Meanwhile though, My Arm gets mad about still having no Tuber, and goes on a rampage through Tai Bwo Wannai Village, throwing villagers, a noob (Who goes "Lol - a troll!"), and even monsters from the jungles left and right. Murcaily, frightened, gives you a load of Tubers instead of one. You and My Arm travel back to Ardougne because there's apparently a big bird that keeps anything from growing on the Stronghold's roof. 10) After stocking up (Or not), go back to the Stronghold's roof, and talk to My Arm. He wants you to give him items he needs to farm, one by one. First give him a Rake so he can clear the weeds. If it breaks, pick up the head and reattach it, then give it again. Next give him the Tubers, and then a Seed Dibber. 11) While farming, the Drunken Dwarf interrupts My Arm. My Arm is not amused and flings him over the edge of the mountain, because he is surely not his matey. After that, the Goutweed is diseased. Give My Arm some Plant Cure to cure it. My Arm then tells you that the bird is coming, so get ready! 12) Oh, it's only a small bird. Kill the Roc (Level 75) and you will think that did the trick. But then the mother bird comes. 13) Kill the gigantic Giant Roc (Level 172). It will blow you back with wind by flapping it's wings, and it will then throw rocks at you. When the birds around your head disappear, run at it and hit some high blows, then repeat. You could also possibly range it. Protect from Range doesn't work on the rocks. 14) After that's done, give My Arm the last tool - a Spade. He'll begin digging up Goutweed (You get Farming XP for him doing so), and he gains a Farming level. He tells you to go see Burntmeat for a reward. 15) Burntmeat is so enthusiastic, he fills your inventory with Burnt Meat! Hooray! He then tells you to go see My Arm. 16) My Arm tells you "a big hushy-hushy secret" about Herbs. QUEST COMPLETE! Reward: 1 QP, 10K Herblore XP, 5K Farming XP, a new Herb patch on top of Troll Stronghold that never gets diseases if you grow something in it. WRITTEN BY SUPERMARIO77

How does playing longer than most people make you the "best" player? You need to define best as it can be taken several ways. Anyway, why does it matter? It's a pretty pointless question.

Who's back? Who? Who? Who? Who? Please tell us!!! Welcome back :D

Unfair that it is only possible to do 1 spec when ranging?
DarkDude replied to Ghost-Knigth's topic in General Discussion
The range special WAS 35%, no more no less so please stop pretending you know everything, you don't. Range has got a slight boost with the long overdue range prayers, but the special on the mage shorts needs decreasing to 40%, that will give you two specials then have to wait for 2 bars before being able to do a 3rd, then 4 for the next. This would give rangers ~3 almost 4 specials per average fight in the wilderness. (Using 1.5 bars, which I find is about average) With a Dragon dagger you can do 6 specials in the same ammount of time, can hit higher and it's much easier to poison with dagger. Jagex really needs to increase the amount of arrows you poison at a time to 30 or something -
I had 115 Bronze dragons, seeing as there's only 3 a server and were about 10 people a server trying to kill them. I managed to kill them within about 2 hours somehow, got me to 30 slayer. Iron dragons would have been easy as there's loads of them...

All quests complete: How Impressive? Take a look.
DarkDude replied to iwatake's topic in General Discussion
Quest cape is going to be the most common (Either that or Fletching or cooking) and it's because of sites like this why it is so common. Quests don't take long at all, and I never use guides with them. I did most of the quests as soon as they came out (There's 3 I've not been bothered to do =P) I did MEP2, Regicide, Monkey Madness, Recipe of Disaster all within a few hours after they came out so not being able to do it in a day is pretty bad with a guide, Then again it really depends on your combat level and other skills. -
Zezima shows all 99 capes and emotes! [Video]!
DarkDude replied to Sinful's topic in General Discussion
With youtube you still download the video, it doesn't just magicly get on your computer... -

whats the worst time you have had connection loss??
DarkDude replied to mrmyk's topic in General Discussion
I have a dodgy connection and it disconnects a lot, but it's been good recently *internet asplodes as I click post* I've been DCed at DKs a few times, survived them all. One time thought I had RoL on, logged in in fally with my friend standing next to me. He runs up and trades me an anti pot and says "DRINK THIS!!!!!" I drink the one I have, then look at my hp... It was 1 o.O There was a group of people around me too waiting for me to do die (I'd have lost some guthans and other stuff) I got DCed while doing a clue before, two nubs were teaming me. I logged back in, just standing between them =P Needless to say I ran away. I lost power once whlie I JUST had opened Dharoks tomb, Needless to say I died and lost ~4M. Dharok almost killed me when I had a Connection Loss once, But Auto retaliate ftw? I came back with 3 hp lol. -
Probably making fires you make last longer.

The bonuses will definalty be worth it. The capes will be good. The bonuses will definalty be worth it. The capes will be good. The bonuses will definalty be worth it. The capes will be good... Maybe if I say that enough times it'll make it more likely to be true. Hopefully they're similar to the effects I suggest, if they are then they'll be teh r0x0rz.

Looks like Jagex are adding in capes for all 99s, Would be nice to see how many effects I guessed correct =P
-
1) They decide to give us space to store random event items, just days after I dropped all of mine. 2) http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=525 ... ght=reward Posted that AGES ago (That one is infact the second time I posted it), had also posted it on the RS suggestions forum several time, so the idea of the Level 99 capes is basicly the same as what I suggested. And I guess the boosts would be roughly the same too. Month looks good though.

The Character itself has the number of charges, the ring DOES NOT matter. Say I smelt 130 Iron ores with the ring, then sell it and make a new ring. After 10 ores the ring I just made will break. The person I sold the ring to will be able to use the ring as many times as they have left on their character and it won't break after 10. How hard is that to understand?
-
Yes it does, to an extent. If you use anti d fire and mage prayer its about the same effect as a d fire shield. Well it's changed then. When metal dragons came out jagex changed it so that Mage protect does not work against KBD, even with anti-fire pots.
-
Protect from mage doesn't work with KBD.
-
Worst thing lost plus junk item kept over it.
DarkDude replied to Kiriyama's topic in General Discussion
Barrows Gloves have a value as you buy them from a shop. They're worth the same as whip (Or were before the whip's price increased)
