  1. Floor: 13 Boss: Hobgoblin geomancer Npcs: Skeleton, Dungeon Spider, Giant Skeleton, Giant Bat, Zombie, Skeleton (mage), Hill Giant, Animated Pickaxe, Earth Warrior Will update more as I go through, about to reset too so should have all levels before this :)
  2. Ubisoft are my least favourite company at the moment, with their horrid PC DRM and now this. Manuals used to be awesome, nowadays companies put very very little effort into them (the MW2 manual was what, 7 pages?). A good manual makes a good awesome. Hell, I remember as a child reading the Metroid manual in bed, sure I did it for other manuals too. And yes, the smell of new manuals is awesome, I think my favourite has to be the WoW manual.
  3. That first build is horrid, http://www.wowhead.com/talent#sZV0xcZxf0z:z0Zz Would be better, with the glyph of seal of command you shouldn't run into mana problems. To be honest, going into the ret tree first isn't a terrible idea, seal of command is an amazing tanking seal for instances so it's worth picking up and to be honest there's no huge prot talents early on that are needed. Only problem is you lose on early blessing of sanctury, but I think seal of command is worth getting before that. http://www.wowhead.com/talent#sZV0xAMuZxf0z:z0Zz Is then where you'd want to be 45, this build also means you'll not have to respec until level 80 (hell, you could farm HCs with this spec very easily, it's actually pretty close to the one I'm using for tanking ICC). Ret aura has nothing to do with tanking, as a tank Devotion aura is much much more important for you. When levelling my Pala I was prot until 40 or so, then switched to ret with holy OS for faster levelling. Although with the above build you would be awesome at levelling due to survivability and seal of command gives you awesome AoE and wouldn't need to get a ret spec.
  4. Not a fan of Zygor guides, tries them out on my Warlock but due to having full hierloom items + running HCs I soon got to the point I was not getting any xp from the mobs I was killing for the quests I was doing, On top of that had rested XP. It was making me do level 12-13 quests at level 22, a really good guide
  5. Had an awesome raid today. Marrowgar down shortly after his 2nd bonestorm. Deathwhisper down before 3rd set of adds. Saurfang down before 1 mark. Festergut down after only one tank switch. Rotface down with only two slimes exploding. Putricide one shot for the first time, kill wasn't very convincing (had a few people dying at the end) but only 4 stacks on each tank, which is a new record :D. Dreamwalker easily one shot. Sindragosa two shot, which is awesome as we only got it down for the first time on Monday after a lot of tries. First wipe was my fault for standing too close, I realised like half a second before the ice tomb came, kill had about half the raid alive due to some bad placement but it still went down with a decent amount to spare. Went downhill from there, princes took us like 4 tries, the vortexs for some reason really messed us up. Blood Queen was two shot after that, I got the necklace off her which I'm using for tanking. (Lose about 1% pure avoidance but gain 400 health, and a lot of threat generation). No one needed it for MS, and the Marrowgar amulet just refuses to drop (killed him 9 times on my pala, another 4 or so times on my mage...). Also got 450 herbalism, the HoT it provides could prove useful occasionally, it's nothing huge but a free 900hps for a few seconds every couple of minutes is better than nothing. Also decent money of course :P
  6. Was bored, levelling herbalism and happen to fall down to Dark Shore so decide to explore. Ended up (mostly) soloing the Darranius (or however it's spelt) leader :D. Got her to <60% myself before two guildies decided to join me, bringing a whole bunch of guards with them as a welcoming present. They then decided to die a couple of times each while I killed the boss :P. Probably had about 70% of the damage done myself and could have easily soloed her, just would have taken a while... 5580000 health at 1500dps isn't very quick. Just over an Hour, plus more as that includes damage done on adds too... So yeah, would have taken well over an hour :P
  7. Also people can trade in their tokens for experience, so that could add up too.
  8. Annoyed that the adventurer's log is so broken =/ Seems to be drawing the updates from random people :s
  9. Had our first attempts on the LK tonight. Only had ~45 minutes of tries including wipes. We pretty much have Phase 1 down now, just got to fine tune our tactics then work on the transition + Phase 2.
  10. When you dont do quests at all, you wont need it anymore. But when you are still questing daily quests, it is really useful. No I mean the game actually shows you were quests are, why would you need it? Quest helper is still better than the in-game helper. Lightheaded is an awesome add-on though which everyone should get.
  11. Sindragosa 10 man down tonight! One 0.8% wipe and one like 2% wipe when my router decided it'd be a good time to shut down, then got it our final try of the night. So that's 11/12, tomorrow hopefully doing PRinces/Blood Queen then spend the rest of the night on LK. Awesome, awesome night.
  12. So far it's slower to train than summoning was (took me 5 hours to get to 30) and it's been out for over 5 hours now. If no one gets to 30 in the next hour or two then it's certainly slower.
  13. Also remember you can trade your tokens in for experience, and given the amount of tokens needed for the higher level rewards I imagine you'll be getting a lot of experience at higher levels.
  14. Well we are certainly due a boss monster, the last one being Tormented demons but that's not really a boss and it was a while before that was for the last proper boss. Guess we'll just have to see, really hope it's not a F2P boss as that'll be useless for members (I don't see Jagex making a F2P boss that drops things even on the level of dragon items).
  15. If you use recount for just damage done, you're doing it wrong.
  16. What the hell at mages getting Bloodlust in Cata :o Mage changes look overall fairly awesome though. Just need to see the pala changes to decide which I'll be getting to 85 first.
  17. A farewell to Guthix (with Guthix being part of the Anagram) only leaves an M.

    A year to wait? A YEAR? That's a year too long :(
  19. People in a company aren't all going to have the same skills, so taking someone out of one department and putting them in another isn't going to do any good. I have no idea about any of the mods histories, but there is no harm to the development of the game for having a section dedicated to trying to improve the community aspect of the game. The reason we're not allowed to elaborate is we have nothing to say, it does no one any favours just complaining about things, especially things that aren't set in stone. It's nothing to do with Jagex telling us what we can and can't say, it's common sense and on top of that there are more likely than not some legal issues with discussing some of the things between us and Jagex at this point in time.
  20. How dare they employ people to help the community aspect of the game. Jagex is split into different departments, just like every other company. This doesn't effect their development team in any way and it's an ignorant notion to suggest such a thing.
  21. There is more to it than that, however I am not allowed to say. I can assure you that nothing sinister is going on and it's very "behind the scenes". Jagex are not going to make us change actual content on our site, they're not going to get us to censor posts they don't like or anything like that. Yes, removing advertising for other games is part of it, however it's not the full story. As Peter said, we should be Platinum soon and then maybe people can stop complaining.
  22. I wrote content for another site at the time of release of MEP2 and was personally asked by Mod Mark not to write a guide for it. However they can not in anyway, shape, or form stop people from writing guides. They can REQUEST it, and people (Tip.It for example) abided by it for respect for Jagex, not for legal reasons. Ya they can't really use "brute force" to control fan sites, but they can use back-stab attacks to control them. All they have to say is: "Monitor all your threads and anyone posting a picture/knowledge of any unfair game-play/bug should be reported to us. If you don't comply with this your fan-site will be starred-out and reportable if said in-game." With a small quick step they have control of any fan-sites they want, and in the same way promote the ones over those that do not follow them. For once in my life, I wholeheartedly agree with Me Hate Limbs statement. And that's saying alot. But that's not happening, nor will it happen.
  23. I'm pretty sure that a Jmod confirmed that there will be no 'training quest' for the new skill. You will be able to just get right into training. Not sure where I read it, maybe it was one of the Q&A's. This is correct, there will be no new quests required to start the new skill. There may however be a quest launched alongside it (like there was with Agility) that has it as a requirement.

  25. Most of the speculation and comments in this thread are simply not true.
