Some people actually do believe them, or at least have doubts enough to pass them on. My ex sent me one about the girl that died and will come visit you, I didn't think a 21 yr old would believe in them but she sent it on "Just in Case".

I don't know what your trying to get out of this. I just asked you to show me the sentence, or do I have to go into why the sentence you chose was incorrect. You could also burn a flag to celebrate, or to oppose the values of the current government you don't have to hate the whole country and its people in order to burn a flag.
-
Your not going to get the reaction your looking for. Secondly, Show me where I said that?
-
If your going to post public information about yourself you can hardly complain when a future employer finds it. There is currently a 17GB torrent containing photos that where stolen from MySpace after a security breach.

There doesn't need to be a reason to do anything, so long as you don't harm another person in the process. What's this here DaN? Looks to me like you're saying you did so for no reason, unless you're just stating something for the hell of having a reply... which would make it irrelevant. :shame: I'm not saying that at all. re read the sentence. Sorry try again.

Flag burning is not pointless, I never said that. Again just because you disagree with some thing, that doesn't automatically make it pointless. How is it a double standard, I asked you a question? I would agree with you, if I had attempted to censor you. Didn't you question me earlier about why I burnt the flag? (Double standard?)
-
Are you saying that me burning the flag was pointless? If that's what you mean, then I would like an explanation as to why it is pointless to burn a flag. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't automatically make it pointless. I could say your last post is pointless, but that wouldn't necessarily be true.

Chain Emails aren't that bad, unless your a crackberry user. I don't mind Chain Emails they are easy for me to skip past. MySpace chain mail is a pain because I have to login to read the dam message. (Asking them to include it in the email is too much to ask.) I really don't care what people send me via Email but Phone and Instant Messenger junk is annoying.

I'm not angry, and I haven't lost? Sorry to disappoint but I'm not taking your flamebait. If all you want to do is start a fight then you will be sadly disappointed. I don't know how this last page got so off topic, but I would appreciate if we could move back on topic.

and? The world is full of double standards, is that even relevant? I burnt a flag for your right to do so. You might've dug yourself in too deep this time. I don't think you're going to [insert amendment] your way out. You make very little sense, if you explain yourself a bit better it would help allot. Zierro, If you can't contribute something constructive, why bother posting?

Are you not Whining about me making this thread? I have no problem with people who object to anything I say, this site is called a "Discussion Forum" for a reason. Stating that you don't like when people disagree with you is hardly whining, altho you can accuse them of being whiners just as they can accuse you in return. Now stop your whining

Really, I'll paypal $50 to someone who can explain how my burning the flag was a hissy fit? I spend allot of my time defending free-speech, I'm hardly opposed to critics who disagree with my values of free-speech, if I were I would be opposing the very thing I support and that would be foolish. You're the one who made a whole thread about this. Looks like if anyone was taking a hissy fit here, it would be you. Explain! For once I agree with you! DaN, not everything has to be explained. Zierro said it quit nicely. By the way, that was aimed at you :$ I obviously missed something here, you say "anyone who does something just for a reaction is taking the wrong approach." and I agree, it is the wrong approach.

Not at all, if I want to burn a flag I am well within my rights to do so, if your are offended by that then it is simply unfortunate. However the same freedom that enables me to burn the flag also enables you to announce your disapproval. just because you can doesnt mean it isnt childish Celebrating free speech is not childish, having a hissy fit over a piece of cloth is.

How? Do you even know what ignorance is? You have problems with people doing things you disagree with, so they must automatically be wrong. How? Instead of just posting your disagreement why don't you explain why its "developmentally delayed"? Just because you don't like something doesn't automatically make it wrong. Millions of people burn flags to celebrate.

A few years ago I sent an email out to about 20 people asking them to send on the attached email because I wanted to see how far a chain mail could go. The email I sent them, as an attachment (technically they are the ones starting the chain mail) contained a few tricks that allowed me to track how often it was displayed. The count got to around 3,000 (I don't recall the exact figure) but these days it's normally impossible to tell if someone opened an email but I do get the occasional request for an image I hid at the bottom of the email so it is apparently still out there  . I seldom see chain emails but judging by my little one the spread like wildfire.

They guy who burns the flag is exercising those values and freedoms, he could also be celebrating them by using his freedom in this way.

Nobody dies for a flag. When will we get this straight? People may die for the ideals of the country the flag represents. I know that's what your getting at, but please, just say it instead of "people have died for the/that flag". I don't know how burning a flag is somehow connected with "burning the people who have worked for the flag". Burn all the flags you want. I believe that burning a flag (if it's done in a peaceful protest of some nature) is very bluntly stating you're sick and tired of what that flag represents. Burning a flag is a cry for change. Both of my grandfathers fought in wars, and in no way do I feel like someone is disrespecting what they did by burning a flag. They are not disrespecting the past so much as they are concerned for the future. A flag is a flag. Don't get caught up in someone lighting some cloth on fire. Actually people have died for the actual flag itself. That's like having died for a paper bag.

I think the 50% of fuel is a joke. The price of Diesel is the controlling factor of ALL other prices and with a record surplus's of funding the Government should cut the fuel tax. Forget "improving welfare for low income families" that's an unfair system and costs money to run. Drop the price of Diesel and the price of goods and services drops. It doesn't take a genius to see the relationship between fuel cost and the cost of goods and services. But the government prefers to waste more money on stupid benefit schemes than to cut tax where its most beneficial. I object to politicians being able to set their own salaries.

I'm a student pilot. Been flying for about a year now.

Why, seems like a pretty stupid thing to do.

Half of America's population is rural (I think just under half, actually) or live in towns with less than a million people, including me Public transportation is next to nonexistent. If you'd like to walk the next to twenty miles I'll have to be traveling daily within a few weeks, be my guest. if that were the case.. I would just purchase a moped or something... a lot cheaper then paying for a car for those twenty miles Ever tried riding one of those when there's 6 inches of snow on the ground? Or wear your business suit to work while riding one in the rain? Get over it, for some people, it's just not anywhere near convenient to not own a car. Anything below 400cc should NOT be legal for road use. The worse place any motorcycle can be is in amongst traffic, those stupid scooters people buy as fashion accessory's do not have the speed to stay ahead of traffic and most only go to 60 when the speed limit is 80. Cost is not an excuse to put a dangerous vehicle on the road.

Girls are more violent, I see far more girl on girl fights than any involving males. The main difference is that Women are not normally strong enough to do allot of damage plus their fights normaly start off tame and then escalate by which point security has normally broken up the fight before it reaches it's peak. A punch from a grown man is easily fatal, I would not punch someone in the head and expect them to be walking again any time soon, most fights involving males seem to happen spontaneously and without warning. At least Girls normally have to provoke their opponent. Those are my observations. EDIT: Sorry, went a bit off topic.
