have you done swan song ? WOM DOES need runes for his spells. The Wise Old Man is the guy who stole the Blue Party Hat, the MYSTERIOUS old man is the one who gives Strange Boxes and teleports you to the maze. The WOM is a regular NPC which we can talk to in Draynor Village, the MOM is a Random Event. Also in the RS stories (which I wish they would expand upon) we have the origins of Magic. A wizard (from the East I believe) came to the people of Runescape and showed them his powers, several went off to join him and they learned to do magic without the use of runes (because Runecrafting hadn't been invented). In the story the main character who was just a boy at the time came home and showed his parents his new found "control over the winds" which is our modern day Wind Strike. Later on they discovered or invented temples to bind their powers into Runes which all Runescapians could use. So the story tells us of people who COULD use magic without the use of Runes. I think it's a lost art amongst the people of Runescape and even it's current citizens. I think the few mages who have made new spells (such as the animate Rock Spell in One Small Favor) are some of the few mages that still use Magic without Runes. I'm guessing also that the Mahjarrat (Zammorak's order that he belonged to) used Magic without Runes but eventually crafted their own Runes for their apprentices and whatnot. That's my two cents.

The maximum is 450 wide and 175 high. Must be 30kb in filesize (which I find hard).

The honest reason why I stick around with RS2 and with Members is because I've come so far in the game. I've got the money and the computer to go to World of Warcraft. I've played the game for it's free trial and I fell in love with the game. Why didn't I switch over? Because I was playing Runescape. IF there were a complete destruction of my character I would turn away from this game in a New York Minute. The game is simply an extenuation of me that was over four years ago. I miss RSC and it's fun and excitement and RS2 will never replace those memories. It will most assuredly make it's own and I am enjoying the game, but I know, deep down inside somewhere, that if all of my hard work were gone I'd be out of there surfing the net for something new or maybe getting some projects for my site done.

You can find more info on it in the Mini-Games guide on Tip.it. But for now here's what you do. Complete In Search of the Myreque and Shades of Mor'ton quests. Find a world with active users (I'm trying to make World 59 the new place to be for the shades) and then aid in building the temple or killing shades. You get experience in Crafting by building the temple and you get combat experience by killing shades (killed just like normal monsters). Both ways you receive "Sanctity" which allows you to create "sacred oil" the oil is made by using olive oil on the holy flame which is in the temple that you defend/repair. The sacred oil is used to "annoint" (that's what I call it, I'm not sure if they're really that) logs in which you burn shades. You burn shades on funeral pyres in the town of Mor'ton. They will produce keys in which you use to go into their "lair" and kill more shades and burn more of them and get more keys to open up chests that contain treasure. Refer to the mini-game guide to see what they contain.

Apparently you didn't read far enough. The Article says the maximum you can put into your coffers is 7.5 million gold. But it will only take a MAXIMUM of 75k if you have more than 750k in your coffer. It's there right beneath the distribution image. See for yourself.

Mini is correct. After that quest is done though, I believe you can melee them.

Hmm... I suppose it's possible. I've never tested it myself, it would most likely work. Now the only problem is that you won't be able to use the God Spells although you don't seem to have a problem with that. Have patience and cast some spells and raise your magic legitimately and wait for the cape it'll come in due time.
