  1. I would normally tell them some money-making tips, or give them a few stuff. Both, however; are inadvisable as if they are begging they probably won't listen to all your money-making tips anyway, and just continuously whine and plead for stuff. If you give them, they follow you around asking for more. If I am in a bad mood, I would simply ignore them, scold them, or, like many other before me, kill them by various means.
  2. If you got a warning or ban for *that*... Quite extreme. I must say, that, is in no way justified 'evidence' for a ban. Are the staff possibly trying to fill an 'efficiency quota' by banning a certain amount of 'abusers' monthly? I was under the impression that JAGeX stated on their website that the word "noob" is "not offensive" and means "new player", so don't report useages of the word. Contradiction?
  3. I wonder why they skipped the Maple Composite Bow. Probably they don't want F2Ps to get a better ranged weapon.
  4. Please try not to double post. So far in my travels in the world of Runescape, I have not met many people who I would call "friends": merely associates. Their personalities and interests are generally not compatible with mine - not that I expect to make friends over the Internet, and on a game full of people who are mostly younger than I am...
  5. Not that good of a PK... except this thread is about the best ITEM you PKed, not a detailed description of the best KILL you PKed.
  6. A martyr sacrifices his or her life for a greater good. A scammer is not a martyr, even if he risked getting banned doing it. By that logic, a murderer risks getting caught and shot, therefore he or she is a martyr. Please learn the meaning of words before you decide to use them.
  7. Which... is the majority, is it not? I know people tend to remember bad stuff more than good things and people, but you cannot deny that overall, the Runescapian Community is not all that nice and intelligent and mature.
  8. If you are talking about F2P, I think most people would say: Rune Plate. It's common, and is probably the best thing you can get from F2P pking.
  9. You need to remember the majority of players in Runescape are quite young, and often mentally immature. They do not yet have the maturity to think and act logically.
  10. I believe the only F2P stuff would be the Heraldic Helms and the Amulets (excluding the Amulet of Glory, of course). Everything else is too... "rich", for F2P.
  11. If it were censored, the noobs would definitely think up of hundreds of other variations of the word that could evade the censor.
  12. Sell the Cabbages in Zanaris.
  13. Be careful. That, and "Free Gem Cutting", COULD get you banned if someone reports you, because it has been known as a scamming device.
  14. The God Attires are definitely NOT F2P. Anything that gives good statistics, as in anything that could replace existing F2P equipment (The God Attires would most likely replace Mage Robes, considering they give quite a bit of magic bonus as well...), would never be F2P. Everything else, which either do not give bonus statistics or are just graphical variations of existing F2P equipment, could be F2P. I do not think, however; that the elegant costumes are F2P, considering many other costume treasure trail items aren't F2P either.
  15. The catch is when you try to protect someone from getting scammed, they often turn on you and insult you of robbing them a great deal. So no, it isn't worth it, since all you get is insults: from the victim as well as the scammer. However, in the words of Mother Teresa: protect them anyway.
  16. Here are four potential possibilities: 1.) Someone who's quitting RuneScape and only has that account. In which case, the money ends up in your hands again. 2.) Someone who says they are quitting RuneScape, and only has that account, and therefore scams you out of your hard-earned gp. 3.) Someone who stole another person's account, but doesn't want to keep it, and is therefore trying to sell it. 4.) Someone who stole another person's account, and is trying to get the other person banned. In any case, report it and let Jagex deal with it. That's what I do. 8-) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull However, he seemed to be quite upset when I informed him that I had him reported, and ran away calling me names. That would seem to indicate he cared to some degree about that account, so possibilities 1, 3 and 4 are not that likely. He informed me I could give the Wizzy (g) to his main and he will give me the password for the account he is on, so 2 doesn't seem to be what happened either. My belief was that he was just plain stupid.
  17. You guys have very vivid imaginations.
  18. I was wearing a full set of Wizard robes, gold trimmed, and a level 20 I think walked up to me and asked, "Which piece of your robe can I buy for 30K?" I told him politely that, unfortunately, 30K is not enough to buy any piece at the moment. He accused me of lying and ran away. Then he PMed me and asked for some money... I told him that he already had 30K, which is quite a bit for a level 20 already. He said: "I don't have 30K, I just said that to impress you." O... K...
  19. Considering the WOM is a Hero of some sort, he would not be affiliated with followers of Evil or Chaos. I know what he did at the Bank was quite Evil, but his affiliation is still to Saradomin (otherwise Saradomin would not lend him his power, as we see i casted Saradomin Strike in the Bank). Then again, Saradomin himself is quite a hypocrite, so maybe he doesn't frown upon the WOM's actions so much; but considers it a reward for the WOM's services. The recent letters, however; show the WOM pondering at his desk over a minature version of the Wizard's Tower. Perhaps an attack on the Wizard's Tower is imminent? Hopefully, a quest to go along with it: an F2P quest? Well, they did release a lot about the WOM to F2P, so unless this is another attempt to tempt F2Pers into getting members... wait, they do that all the time...
  20. The fancy variations of existing items available to F2P should be F2P, as in the Magic and Strength Amulets and the Heraldic Helms. I doubt anything else is though.
  21. Reason number one: I have no money. Reason number two: my parents would not let me. Reason number three: even if I could I would not until I have basically finished everything in F2P: like, high levels in all F2P skills. Otherwise, waste of money. Reason number four: like others, I feel I would get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff to do if I applied for membership. Reason number five: Runescape's community sucks. No one ever role plays. I don't feel like paying for a game full of people without any role playing ability, and can only show off their numbers.
  22. I doubt it, considering many of those items are not simply "look good" (like gold trimmed wizard robes), but actually give decent statistics.
  23. Something quite peculiar happened today. I was walking near the woodlands south of Falador City when a level 85 in the Skeletal Costume ran up to me, and offered to trade the account he is on for my full set of gold trimmed Wizard Robes. Without ado, I reported him and informed him I had done so, and he immediately went into a noob-calling frenzy, and ranting about how he didn't care about this account since he does not play on it. I pointed out that considering it is level 85, he does play on it to some degree. He proceeded to flee the scene at that point. My point is this: who on Earth hatches such an obvious Scam Plot with a level 85 character?
  24. Examining stuff in Runescape is lots of fun. Sometimes I even find something I never saw before. I also enjoy examining pigs, and guessing which one of the text I will get... Porker, Swine, I shall call him "mini-pig", porcine... funny.
  25. You have to consider that Mages and Rangers have very high accuracy compared to Warriors of similar Combat Levels, who have relatively low accuracy. A Mage or Ranger might hit "14, 14, 13, 0, 10, 16, 0, 6" While a Warrior might hit "0, 0, 4, 0, 18, 0, 0, 19, 0".
