  1. Have you not being paying attention? JAGeX stated themselves Runescape is not based on any Terran time period, and neither is Runescape in planet Terra. The Roman Empire never, and will never, exist in Runescape. You could have another great Empire similar to the Romans to explain this, but still. This idea is not original enough, and seems a bit excessive.
  2. Sounds suspciously like an idea grabbed straight out of Maple Story. But I still like it non-the-less. However, I don't think anyone should be able to do it. Perhaps it will have Hunting requirements? And maybe Falcons can do that too? Or just Falcons, not Cats; since Cats are more "domestic" pets rather than "combat-assistant" pets. Another reason to level Hunter...
  3. Looks like people are quite enthusiastic with the "trace metal" idea, but not so with the Runecrafting idea. Well, you still have much to be proud of~ ^_^
  4. Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Baby Jesus, and spending time with family. Exchanging gifts is for showing love to other family members to show how much you care about them. Never tell me I don't know anything about christmas :shame: Then why are you so over-excited over a game event one year prior to the next celebrations? It would seem you are anticipating the commercialised events that come with Christmas, instead of its true meaning. All I am doing is suggesting an idea for what might happen next year, why don't you stop being a [puncture] and take the time to actually appreciate someone's idea. Fine. I apologise for any anger I might have aroused. I have a tendency to be over-competitive, which often results in nasty debates. I would trouble this thread no longer.
  5. I thought JAGeX had no affiliation with fansites. It may be that they do not wish to use this idea, or people might use it against them saying they DO affiliate with fansites.

  7. Andrew himself stated JAGeX has nothing against pures. Only drop traders, which most pures are. But if this is implemented, you could be a pure easily without being a drop trader, so I don't think JAGeX would mind.
  8. This idea is not exactly original, plus the Romans did not exist in Runescape. You would need an alternative explaination to explain where these armour came from. Also, JAGeX would never release armour and weapons better than Rune for F2P, and the whole idea sounds a bit dodgy to me; considering the Stronghold of Security is in Barbarian Village and there is going to be a minigame called Barbarian Assault.
  9. I don't think you even grasped what the true meaning of Christmas is. Poor, commercialised Christmas...
  10. 1. You think people would do this just for you? How naive. 2. Don't you think your request (more like an order, when it comes from your mouth) is both greedy, lazy and selfish? 3. Don't you think you ARE greedy, lazy and selfish? 4. Moneymaking is not as hard as you think. Do some research, and experiment a bit. 5. Why no Members allowed? Do you automatically assume all members are grouchy gits who wants to rip off honest working players like you, while all F2Pers are kind little angels who would follow your lead singing praises in your honour and your liberation of F2P from the iron rod of the merchants? Bit of an over-generalisation here.
  11. The EDIT button is your friend. try not to double post.
  12. Considering treasure trials do approximately the same thing with less randomness, I don't see why this is necessary. Besides, you would probably see all these level threes doing nothing except digging around with a spade all day long. Hey, that actually is a good thing... less beggars and idiotic kids around to annoy us all... (In case you think I am stereotyping against low levels, I am not. Those who WOULD go around digging everywhere and doing nothing else would most likely all be beggars and the good-for-nothing idiots. Respectable low levels would try to earn money the stable way).
  13. Relax! This year's Christmas isn't even here yet... nice to see your enthusiasm, but this is a bit too early, do you not think?
  14. if his parents wont let him its not jagex fault, f2p is lucky they get this game for free anyway So let me guess... You are a member? Typical view for a member. Without F2P, runescape loses its population without new members joining. It dies. Jagex goes bankrupt. End-o-story. With F2P people get a chance to try it out, see if they like it, if not they quit, Jagex barely notices. If they like it, they continue, most eventually buying a membership. Those that don't contribute to the income through ads. Either way, Jagex gets money, even if it is a little less than members provide. What did he say wrong? Are you saying that the statement "If parents won't let them pay, it isn't JAGeX's fault" is false? So... does JAGeX have to BEG parents to let their kids pay for membership? As for F2P is lucky to get a free version, yes; F2P is lucky. No one is denying that F2P holds quite an importance in Runescape, but neither can you deny that it is lucky that Runescape has an F2P version. Remember, most other MMORPGs of any sufficient quality are not free at all. However, even if we agree F2P holds quite some importance, explain to me why this justifies F2P getting updates. Do you really think F2P getting more stuff will attract more people? I doubt it. People don't just play F2P and immediately see all that it has to offer: it is a gradual process. And those who are able to pay for membership would generally be convinced to get it before they have finished through all the contents of F2P. Giving more stuff to F2P will not increase in influx of members by much, although some bitter members may leave. There is nothing in it for JAGeX except for kindness, so it is highly unlikely they would update F2P to any great degree. If you read my post, I mention nothing about parental permission. I was simply showing why we are not LUCKY we get to play for free. Look at what you are typing. So we are seriously NOT lucky to be able to play Runescape for free? What would your definition of lucky be then? Having JAGeX release the game totally free, in one huge selfless act? Don't you think that is a bit greedy, not to mention selfish, of you? And I understood you had nothing against parental permission. I just caught the handle and decided to make the most of it. Force of habit. Now you are blowing my comments completely out of proportion. All I have said is that we, as F2P, are not LUCKY to get a free version, because, without F2P, Runescape would not be as popular. I emphasise again. You say F2P is NOT lucky. So you mean it is deserved? Or it is as it should be? I am not trying to exaggerate your comments and make you look bad. This is how I interpreted your comments. If your meaning is not as I suggested, please explain deeper. I fail to see why the fact that the members population is reliant on the free population makes F2Pers "not lucky" to be able to play this game for free, unless you mean it is deserved.
  15. Seems to me this suggestion has just been shot down before liftoff.
  16. not really it would make the runecrafting market better....everyone would want runes...nats and laws to lv up mage....all the elemental ones for fighting which you can make fast...only the combat ones would suffer Wrong. People would not NEED Nature runes or Law runes to level up Magic anymore, so they won't buy them so much. The elemental ones are poor money, it would make no difference if their prices rose. And ruling out the combat ones, the Runecrafting Market would be desolated.
  17. I think this suggestion has pretty much crumbled to dust, unless someone wants to offer a solution.
  18. Maybe we need a Gender Cape so people won't need to ask if you are a really a girl, or just a male role playing as a girl.
  19. The trace metal idea certainly adds a bit of a twist to mining, increasing game content and breaking some of the monotony; so I support. I don't like the sound of NPC runners, however; as remember, Runecrafting was supposed to be a secret Skill known only to a few.
  20. The chances of F2P ever getting another quest at all are inversely astronomical.
  21. Rank Capes... never heard of them? A Cape with the Number 1 plastered to it with a nice little trim and a golden crown? Sounds familiar? They were whining to attach it to Zezima when he was the top of Runescape.
  22. The hood was suggested long ago, with quite a good response.
  23. From what I've seen, the Tree wasn't much to look at anyway. Then again, neither did the Camo Suit when it first came out. Now it looks quite good, and has become quite a rare sight...
  24. This idea could work, but I don't think JAGeX would let it go through.
  25. My RS name. Not participating in the past two Easter Events.
