  1. Burthorpe them. They hit hard and are awful experience.
  2. Well written post, I certainly agree with the majority of what you wrote. I think the time factor will mean that there is still a market for merchants. Someone who wants to sell an item to generate some quick cash won't be happy to leave it there at market prices, hoping it sells eventually. They will undercut the market price a little to generate a quick sale. Dependant on how the system is implemented, I think there will still be a market for merchants, but I think that their margins will diminish.
  3. It's only 75k per day. I only mine coal a couple of times per week, still works out OK. And if you are on Lunar spellbook, there is an option to talk to Advisor Ghrim (but you can't deposit money this way).
  4. You are correct in what you say, but there are a couple of tips I would give: - You need at least 750k in your coffers to get the maximum spend on a daily basis. So approx 1.2m will last you a week (without topping up). - I find mining coal the quickest way to increase your %, and it's right next to the fairy ring (if you have access via fairytale part 2). Chopping maples is a close second. - To maximise profits I'd split your workers amongst coal (very good market for selling), maples (decent market, and lots of extra profit from seeds and crushed nests) or flax (good market, can be spun in to bs to double profit, and you get herb seeds if you like farming). Personally I go for 10 workers on maples and 5 on coal. Just my 2 penneth worth.

If you want the clay for making teletabs, move your house to rimmington and use the rimmington mine.
  7. I'd probably say the opposite, that it will harm merchants. Merchants make Gp by buying low, selling high, right? Let's assume they are trying to sell a whip for 1.5m, when the market price is at 1.4m. Someone looking for a whip goes to the grand exchange and instantly sees 200 whips for sale at 1.4, and the merchanters at 1.5. Which is he going to buy? Not a difficult one to work out. Depending on the detail being released on how the exchange works, I think it will see markets prices become very consistent across most items, and the spread between buying and selling reducing to practically nil.
  8. Sorry, going to have to disagree with you here. 1 ranarr seed = 30k, average yield of planting the seed is around 6, so 6x8 = 48k. 48k-30k = 18k profit per ranarr planted. Similar profits from snaps too.
  9. Watchtower teleport is closer than castle wars.

Quick tip with regards to the maze (apologies if everyone knows this already). Before you click continue in the message box the pops up in the middle of the screen right after you get teleported, you can spend a little time digging out a map of the maze or drinking energy pots (if you happen to have them in your inv). The % countdown only starts once you click continue. This way I always get to the centre with around 75% of the reward left. I got 1.2k iron arrows and 150 deaths yesterday, so it's worth the effort.
  11. Has anyone tried using a nature ammy on it?
  12. I think the volume of random events is influenced by the area you are in. I see loads more randoms (for both me and other players) when cooking in rogues den. I assume this is deliberately done in order to deter bots.
  13. Cheers. Questioned answered, please lock.
  14. Please could you confirm whether this spell is unlocked after doing Lunar Diplomacy, or do you need to do Dream Mentor as well? Thanks in advance.
  15. This is what the bestiary produces when searching on seaweed. Bestiary Search
  16. It's a minigame, Manage Thy Kingdom. Look up the Tip.It guide for full details.
  17. If you don't do this already, I would suggest MTK. A great way of getting tree seeds (via maples). Trees (regular and fruit) for exp, herbs for profit is the way to go. Always save the fruits, to be used at a later stage for payments. Also save the tree roots, you can compost them in to super compost.
  18. You should try and use supercompost for all herb patches, that way you should only have around 1 in 8-10 die.
  19. Chumley replied to magekid's topic in Help and Advice
If you have 29 farming (or can pot to 29) then do My Arms Big Adventure quest which gives 10k herb experience.
  20. One of the problems with chins is that there is a lot of competition for the best spot. You will find yourself having to hop worlds a lot, which will greatly increase the time needed to catch 20k.
  21. If you are using mage, I would equip a zammy pray book. Gives a mage attack bonus and prey bonus.
  22. That would be great thx :D
  23. Thanks for the response. I do have the accumulator so I was planning on using it. Are there any fire giant safe spots without obstacles in the way, so the accumulator will pick them up without me needing to move?
  24. Hi All, I'm looking to train my range from 61 to 70. Could anyone help out with an approximation of the number of iron knives that would take? I would also appreciate any ideas of what I could use the knives on. I was thinking fire giants, are there any better options? Thanks in advance for your help.
  25. Chumley replied to Chumley's topic in Help and Advice
Thanks for your help everyone. I am really just after the cape, and not too worried about staffs. So I guess i'll just take a few fire bolts for that.
