For higher levels, I think there's a higher profit with beavers, level 33. Two green charms, two willow logs, and about 150 shards (can't access the main website right now, at school), soon to cost 4k total. Get a beaver and ten scrolls, and head to the mage training arena. Unleash your special 5 times, for 15 magic logs. Run to the duel arena bank, and bank the logs. Go back, unleash 5 more times, for 15 more logs. Bank. 30 magic logs * 750 gp each (I imagine the prices will fall as this becomes widespread) = 22500 gp. Profit over 15k. Best part: you don't even need 75 woodcutting. 1) This only works if the special gives you magic logs from magic trees. I think it does, but I'm not sure. 2) Sorry for harping on about beavers, but I need to ask about 1 until I'm sure, at which point I'll level my summoning and write a guide. Don't forget everytime you use the spec it reduces the spec bar, so you won't be able to do that so many times in a row. But I agree with the priciple of your thread, once people start to understand the benefits the familiars bring the skill will seem a lot better.

Great map, good work. There is a vertical divide in the tunnels that you can't get past either east or west inside the tunnels, you have to go back up to the surface and enter a different cave. It runs vertically from between the deadly red spiders & cave bugs in the north, to between the zammy warriors & poison spiders in the south. I think adding this line would be a good addition to the map.

Don't forget bones to peaches for those that have unlocked the spell.

There is another fan site that is starting to collate and publish this sort of data. I thought you may want to know as it may help you in the collation of these figures. Can someone let me know if such links are ok to post?

I'd suggest to use mid level trees and fruit trees if you want to level farming effectively. Prices have recenly come down a lot so you could pick them up pretty cheaply at the GE. By doing watermelon and herbs on the side, that will help you balance out your costs. Hope that helps.

31 here, wife and 1 kid (another on the way!). I've been playing for a couple of years and my combat level is 96.

You can't assist with planting trees, as saplings aren't tradeable.

I notice that in all of the pics there are never any snap herbs present. I've looked at the tip.it MTK guide and it references the fact that no Guam or Merrentil will be collected, but no mention about snaps. Could someone confirm this for me please?

I'd say coal, it sells for around 165 on the GE and it costs 91.6 ea, so 80% profit + bonus gems that can be sold/crafted. As a comparason, maples sell at 48ea on the GE and cost 56.1, a 15% loss, but you have the seeds and crushed nests to sell which will turn a profit. Personally I have 10 workers on coal, and 5 on maples (I love farming, and looking for as many eggs as I can before summoning is released).

Why all the rants now about the 30k limit, we knew it would be this amount back on the 17th Dec when they released the 'Future Changes to Recent Updates' article.

WIth graphical updates for both Vultures and Crocodiles as part of today's release, I'm guessing that crocs could get an update that will see them dropping eggs?

A rune defender and torso are also really useful.

The special patch north of Mcgrubers wood is close to a fairy ring. 2 patches are on etc, which isn't that far from the misc fairy ring. None of them are allotments though.

The monster that drops the clue has no impact on the reward. But I agree, definitely a Burthorpe.

Coal still sells for a decent profit through the GE. Maple prices have dropped a lot, but high level tree seeds (if you are lucky) along with the crushed nests mean you still make profit. If you are planning to train Summoning when it comes out, put a few wokers on Maples so that you have the chance of some eggs. Personally, i'm doing 10 coal and 5 maples right now. Hope that helps.

I can't remember if it was Monday or Tuesday but I got around 250k cooking xp that took me from 80 to 81. I've just looked on the highscores and I'm still showing as 80. Does anyone know if there was a rollback?

No you don't, you can open the chest with only 1 brother killed. Obviously you only have 1/6th of the chance of getting an item.
