Correct. It might be worth getting Graphics Gale, since it is free. The layers can come in handy, and also the right-click colour-choser is a big time saver.
I really don't like the eyes, and you should probably try to think about how the light reflects off the seperate armour plates, rather than doing the shading for the armour all the same. This will give it more shape I'm guessing.
Wow, that homepage find is pretty amazing...what a geek he is/was! Found some stuff on DeviousMUD on there too...pretty interesting, thanks for posting this.
I brushed the clouds. For the rain I brushes some light clouds and then did a motion blur, then took the rubber tool and used a grunge brush to run over the rain layer.
I decided to set out and try a hand at photomanipulation. I'm using photoshop, which I just got last week. Thats been there for ages, and there is one in Seers too, as well as a few other places. You can play it after you have done the fremmy trials I think.
Yea I don't know why I saved it as a jpeg, hang on, I'll see if I can sort it out a bit. EDIT: Sorted. EDIT2: Btw, Lovegrav, if you want me to make you a sig I would happily do one for free, and I don't care if you dont use it, I just need practice! EDIT3: That goes for anyone! lol
Oh, btw the render isn't by me, its by a guy called CaptainSlug, if you want to find more art by him search his name in google or something. EDIT: And yes I do have permission to use his art.
I only just got photoshop and I have been playing around with it, downloaded a few brushes, learnt alot, blah blah blah. Anyway let me know what you think, and how I can improve it. I know this is hardly worth a new topic, but I want to upload other sigs as and when I make them. :)
Actually I have a question, and it is one thing you missed out in your tut. (probably becuase everyone know how to do it- but I dont!) How did you get the horizontal lines? They are called scan lines I think?
