  1. Perhaps I do underesitmate it. As I said, I don't have any 99 skills. If I get 99 runecraft, I'm sure I would flaunt it for a while. But I'd go back to my fire.
  2. I've never seen any significant results with the ROW. I spent about 25k chaos runes down at the metal drags with a ROW and no dragon drops. I know this doesn't exactly merit that the ROW does nothing, but in the times I've worn it, I didn't feel it works.
  3. I can see where you're coming from. But again, as with the skill capes, there's no true challenge in the Legend's Quest (in my opinion). As long as you have prayer pots and protect from melee, you're safe from the demon. In the fight caves, you've got to continuously manipulate monsters for two hours and prayer switch to perfection for around 10 minutes. I just think that outweighs the skill capes.
  4. I have a pic of me with ~450 total with members gear, so I know it must be lower than that, but I can't remember when. It was probably around 200-300. I was only playing for roughly two weeks before I was completely addicted.
  5. I just think that even in the two hours it takes to get a fire cape, you actually have a challenge. You have an incredibly hard task that even properly equipped can lead to death instantly. Whereas to get a skill cape, sure you have to spend more time, but even a moronic skiller can sit at a fire all day cooking sharks to get the cape. The only challenge is time - unless you're on your deathbed, you pretty much have all the time you need.
  6. Awww, I'm sorry I couldn't come. (I forgot. :D) I wish the both of you the best of luck in your marraige.
  7. I think it's a much bigger task to fight off hordes of monsters, leading up to a confrontation with a level 702 that can KO you in one hit just because of an accidental prayer switch (or lack of) as opposed to standing in one spot, withdrawing herbs and vials, mixing them, withdrawing seconds, mixing them, then repeating the process. (You can substitute any skill for the latter.) Maybe it's just because I don't have any skill capes but I do have a fire. Who knows.
  8. Grats on 91 range. :D Nice goals, best of luck. Edit: Noticed you're going for fire cape. PM me here or in RS if you have any questions/concerns about it. You have better stats than I did when I got mine, so you shouldn't have too much of a problem. ;)
  9. She doesn't have 91 rc (yet ;)) so that means 22k ess. Tripsis, you have an unbelieveable amount of determination. Keep it up. I'd love to see you reach your goals. Good luck - if you need to craft 10.5k nats a day, you'll need it. ;)
  10. Got 48 hunter today. It's possible I'll get 71 hunter over the weekend, but I do have homework and a job tomorrow night. I'm really tired though, so it's bedtime for me. :o 'Night.
  11. Help and Advice forum for all RS questions. And try looking in the Archive of Wisdom and the Player Made Guides. You should be able to find numerous fight caves guides to help you get a fire cape.
  12. I cannot BELIEVE I was friends with a piece of crap like you. I even invited you to my party. I thought you were one of the few that valued friends over pixels. I guess I was wrong. Just go in a hole and die.
  13. Necro's in da hizzouse...things might start to get bumpin'! Hehe, good luck!
  14. Those are some (very) hard goals you got there. I hope you achieve them all!
  15. 1600 total. Thanks, hunter and Zaqiuer. :D Also thanks to Elucin8er. I'm using his hunting guide right now and I wouldn't know how to level without him. :D
  16. Slight change of plans. I decided that for runecrafting, I want the Spottier cape to lower my weight significantly. I started hunting and I think it's an awesome skill. I'm going to try for my goal of 71 before I start runecrafting. If I get bored, I'll just go for the 66 needed for the cape. Level 10 hunting ftw!
  17. Good calculations. I could go straight to 91 with laws...but it gets way too boring. So I'm probably gonna craft through the abyss (or possibly alternate between the two methods). Where was I when you guys had this discussion in IRC? Lol.
  18. Ok, I've made a plan. I still really want 91 runecrafting, and I need cash right now for crafting (I can never buy hides at the prices I want ), so I bought 22k pure ess. I'm crafting that into 22k nats with the abyss. That'll then get my 83 runecrafting. I'll save some nats for myself (to alch the stuff I craft), sell the rest, and use that cash to buy lots and lots of hides. I won't burn myself out like I did when I tried straight for 91. (I might train hunter a tiny bit in order to do the new quest which will allow me to wear my quest cape during my runecrafting.) The only problem lies within my internet connection: apparently the servers in my town are partially down so I disconnect every few seconds. I'll have to start this once I get a more stable connection.
  19. I will player kill you in the wilderness. With my fire bolt. Fear. :-w
