Anyone know if the Arsenal game on Wednesday is on any channels other than ITV4? My freeview box is currently more useful as a paperweight so i'm hoping the game is being shown on terrestrial TV or i'm screwed.

I prefer to shop online whenever possible. It's cheaper, less hassle and you can do it in your pants.

It's a shame, but i'm glad i got to see them live before they split. Their first album is easily my favourite but i've liked pretty much everything they've brought out.

Errr, Cudicini played for the first 64 minutes and i'd hardly call players like Ballack, Schevchenko, Cole, Drogba, Bridge, Carvalho, Robben, Wright-Phillips, Essien and Terry "reserves".

I never listen to the radio, pretty much because every song you hear is overplayed pap. I even disconnected the radio in my car so people couldn't try and switch it on if they were in the passenger seat. If i'm listening to music, i'd rather it were from my own collection.

Deftones version of Simple Man (Lynyrd Skynyrd did the original) is pretty incredible in my opinion. Not sure if it's better than the original but it's certainly a good representation of it. They also did a pretty good job of covering a Sade song (No ordinary love), which i thought was a wierd choice before i heard it. Goldfinger's cover of 99 red balloons is pretty decent too, i'm not a ska/punk fan but i like it. Oh, and can't forget Throwdown (hardcore band) covering Sir Mixalot's 'baby got back'.

If i had to spend a couple thousand pounds on a present, it would be a holiday - an experience both of us could enjoy over a few weeks, rather than a material posession that just sits there. It happens. Look at Marilyn Manson, sure he looks wierd as hell but if you've ever seen anyone interview him (or read his book) you'll quickly realise he's freakishly intelligent.

I think if people actually talked to all the people they label as emo, they'd realise that they're not all on the verge of killing themselves. Hell, i've got a friend who could be the definition of the emo look, but he's one of the happiest people i know and works as a care assitant for mentally and pysically disabled children. Clearly a lot of people in this thread are so hung up on looks that they don't care to look past them and get to know the real person underneath.

Yeah, that never happened. And if it did, it's a shame he didn't beat the hell out of you. You might not agree with what he wears or what music he likes, but that doesn't give you a reason to ridicule him. Think about it, "emo" is seen as someone who is depressed for whatever reason, and what exactly are you going to do by ridiculing that person apart from make it even worse? People like you are far worse than any of the people you think it's your right to make fun of.

Matt, i've got pics of your sister's room if you want me to post them. They're not great though, you really should trim the branches on that tree outside your house, makes it hard to get comfortable.
