I think Hendrix is considered a legend because in his day, no one was playing like he was in terms of technique, style and just his general presence on the stage. Modern day guitarists might be better, faster, more technical, but Hendrix is the guy that paved the way for these people to learn guitar in the first place. He's the guy that really took guitar playing by the balls and brought it into the limelight.

I live in a really small town so the pictures will probably be crap. One of the only places in Europe with shops on a bridge over water. Cheap Street, which has a small stream running through the middle of it. OK, pictures of Frome are few and far between on google. I find that odd - most people i know are exactly the same over msn as they are in person, but a couple are totally different. One of my friends is really intelligent and well spoken, but for some reason she types like a 12 year old AOL'er. I'll never know why that is, although i guess some people are just better at articulating their thoughts than writing/typing them.

I do think it's a lot easier to come across as being harsh on the net. You don't have the tone of someones voice to indicate how they mean what they say, so someone who's agreeing with you might sound like they're being sarcastic.... or vice versa i guess.

I came into this thread thinking that most people are probably nicer in person than they are over the net, for the same reasons mentioned above. In general, the nice people you come across online are probably the same in person, whereas the keyboard warriors who make it their duty to abuse people online are, for the most part, probably still living with their parents and wouldn't dare talk to anyone that way face to face.

I'm a huge Hendrix fan :) I've got one of his box sets of unreleased/live recordings, cost ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã60 for 4 discs but it was worth every penny.

If i'm working i'll go to bed about 1-2am and wake up at 7:30. On weekends i guess i go to bed whenever i get back from the pub, so usually around 2-3, and i'll be awake by about 10:30 the next day.

2 of my favourite places in London are Camden Town and Covent Garden. If you don't have any ideas on where to go, i'd say just get a tube ticket and make your way through the city - you'll probably find something you like at every stop.

I'm exactly the same. If it starts throwing it down i usually go outside and walk around.

To add to Daan's post... spun is awesome. It's a film about crystal meth, the people who deal it, make it and use it and how it affects their lives. It's kinda like requiem for a dream but a bit funnier and less depressing.

That's the only film i've ever cried at. Admittedly i was at a pretty crappy point in my life when i watched it but the ending was so powerful i couldn't help myself. I wasn't bawling like a little girl but i had a few tears.

Were you born as stupid as this, or is it something you've been working on your whole life? Even ignoring your pathetic spelling, how do you back up the claim that my.space "mostly" leads to stalking and rapes? The site has what, 60million (probably more) members? You mean to tell me that there have been over 30million rapes related to my.space? Idiot.

This forum really should include the date the ban finishes in the message you get when you try to log in. I got a week ban (without knowing about it) about 2 weeks ago and didn't try to log in until the day before it ended, but i thought it had only just begun.
