  1. ^^ I definitely like that skin palette a lot more.
  2. I watched Accepted tonight. I had seen it before but it's always a fun movie to watch :P EDIT: And I just watched Confessions of a Shopaholic :XD: Fun movie.

Sounds really interesting and I'd love to give it a try.. it's times like these that I curse myself for having a Mac computer. And I deleted my Bootcamp Windows partition, but it sucks anyway.
  4. Meh I have no use for one. For me the appeal of an iPhone (or iTouch) is that you can do things like listen to music and browse the net on something SMALL. If I want something big and still portable, I have my laptop.. I don't feel the need to have something in between D:
  5. Thanks for the support, you two! :) I got like 27/30 signatures* done.. and I just said "screw it" to the rest because it's now 2am and I'm tired :( So it looks like my book will only be about 216 pages, but that's alright. It's off to university tomorrow and I may not get much - if anything - done tomorrow since I have some work to do. But the next step is sewing the pages together. Oh and hopefully they will have all dried by the morning... and reasonably flat too (a few wrinkles might be cool). * Each signature has 4 pieces of paper which will be folded in half, thus creating 8 pages in a book.
  6. Oh okay then :XD: A good question. I have several old photos of sunsets or JUST after sunset (so still a tiny bit of light, not pitch black or anything) but none of like... middle of the nighttime night :XD:
  7. A nice theme this month :) I think I'll be too busy to participate though.
  8. I dated someone for two months. We never kissed. We were more of a hugging couple. Remember, just because you enjoy kissing someone you met two hours ago doesn't mean the rest of us do. Not right, not wrong, just different. So you were essentially friends that hugged more than usual? I wouldn't call that dating or a couple if all you do is hug each other, hell all my girls that are friends hug everyone. Dating is not all about the physical stuff (kissing, sex..). Sure it plays a big, important part, but there is intimacy that is often found in relationships that is lacking in friendships. (whether or not flyingjj had this intimacy with his girlfriend, I don't know, as I know nothing about him or his relationship :P)
  9. Yeah I know but this book is more epic than the one in-game!! And I decided to do the "W" way, I think :) Thanks for the luck Warriormonkx! I think I might need it
  10. I have embarked on a new book-related project! This one is going to be much more time consuming than my last two books, first of all because it's going to be more intricate, and second of all because it's going to be THICK (over 200 pages). So far here's what I'm thinking: A red leather-bound book with "aged" pages. On the front cover, the leather will be engraved with the Zamorak symbol. On the corners of the book will be black metal corner protectors. I may add other engravings/decorations to the front cover, but I haven't decided. I might just want to keep it more simple. The book will have clasps (closures) to help keep the book closed, but mostly just for decorations. The inside pages will be dyed in tea/coffee to give them an aged look. I'm also thinking of actually writing in the book (just random Zamorak stuff - maybe his history/spell/armour and maybe the Zamorak God Letters). But if I'm terribly bored of this project by that point, I may not write in it.. but it would be epic if I did! Progress So Far: Time spent planning, looking for supplies and buying supplies: 2 hours Time spent measuring/cutting/dyeing paper: 4 hours and counting (not even halfway done! D: ) I have to get all the paper dyed by tomorrow because I'm going back to university and it's not really realistic for me to do any dyeing there. [hide=Photos]Cutting Paper Dyeing Paper in Tea Paper Drying [/hide] I have enough supplies to get the signature block done and I have the rest of the supplies (leather, claps, etc.) on order!
  11. Oh I forgot.. last night I also watched Kill Bill for the first time and about 30 minutes of Armageddon (which I've seen), while waiting for Kill Bill to download :XD:
  12. Hmm thanks you guys. I guess it's safe to assume that either way is acceptable.. so I'll settle on the "W" for what I'm doing ;) Thanks a lot!
  13. Lmao, he was so badass, why not?? I just saw Smokin' Aces 2 - I enjoyed it! :o Not my favourite movie ever, but was worth a watch. Kind of a cool ending.
  14. I have seen the Zamorak Symbol portrayed as both something that looks like an "M" and something that looks like a "W" (both in-game and online in various guides).. so there seems to be some inconsistency. Do we know which is the correct way to display the symbol?
  15. tripsis posted a blog entry in tripsis' Art Blog
I made this journal for my sister :) Sewed the pages and made the cover myself, I didn't just throw some fabric over a pre-made journal ;) It's 80 pages and I used a lovely Chinese silk for the front cover (as well as some rhinestone trim along the edges). The bookmark isn't totally done yet. The leaf charm actually isn't attached to the cord yet, I need to find an O-ring somewhere. Once I do, the cord will be trimmed down and the charm will be attached. I don't want the cord to be quite that long :P I apologize for the low quality images. The fabric is really quite stunning in person. The photograph doesn't do it justice!
  16. Just got back from Sherlock Holmes - great movie, I really enjoyed it :) And Taken is awesome :P
  17. I can't remember if I said this in a previous entry or not, but I've been teaching myself a few new crafts, one of which is bookbinding! I finished my very first book tonight! It's INCREDIBLY simple and there are many flaws, but it's only my first attempt! I will hopefully be creating more interesting and intricate leather-bound books with all sorts of fun embellishments in the future. So attempt #1: I didn't have any proper fabric laying around but I wanted to finish the book tonight so I just grabbed a piece of an old, ripped up bed sheet :XD: Anyway everything you see was handmade! I cut out all the sheets of paper, sewed them together, put together the cover/spine and then attached the signature block to the cover. It's not just a handmade book cover - the whole thing is handmade :) The cover boards and spine are made from the box that my new hard drive came in.. which is awesome, imo :XD:
  18. I don't have a problem with giving it a go with certain limitations (the ones that Peter mentioned sound good). Sure it may not have any huge advantages to our current system, but it's just a fun and interesting feature, I think. We can always get rid of it if it flops.
  19. It has definitely been very cold this year and I love it :) I don't know if it's the "coldest winter ever," but definitely colder than the past few years, and just more stormy than usual. I can't remember the last time the power went out here tbh D: (before this year). I wouldn't rather be somewhere warm at all ;) In fact, my whole family is going to Hawaii in February and I chose to pass.
  20. I went to see Leap Year tonight. I quite enjoyed it.. of course, cheesy movies are totally my style so.. :P I'm probably going to see Sherlock Holmes tomorrow.
  21. I beg to differ. Yeah, four experiences does not suddenly mean that ALL women are like that ;) It means that at least four are. Well [bleep]. How come everyone I [bleep]ing date cheats on me. god damn. You're dating all the wrong women!
  22. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think any of those fun censors were changed when we moved to IPB. That being said, more "fun" censors would be nice. They are a bit of a laugh :P
  23. Speaking of baths... Warm baths are ridiculously relaxing. It's odd though, my body feels completely relaxed but my mind goes into like hyperdrive. I start thinking like 100 thoughts a second. That's why I do all my best thinking in the bath!
  24. *feels lost and confused by this sudden change!* :P Thanks for the heads up.
  25. Maybe it's a he-queen! RAWR! Anyway thanks you guys :) Human anatomy in general is really something that I'm trying to work on, and given that the Avatar piece (although not TOTALLY human, if you know what I mean :P) is my most recent work, I think I'm doing alright! Thanks for all the comments!
