I heard that one SC Construction hammer is 34k regular xp, so 68k doubled xp. I haven't actually tried it myself though so I'm not 100% certain.
  2. First I'm working on getting 57 summoning so I can use Spirit Graahks. So right now I'm slaying for charms, which isn't the fastest method, but as long as I'm forced to train combat I want to level slayer too. Otherwise it would have been 66 forever. After that, I will be runecrafting to fund 25m construction xp \
  3. Thank you very much Miss War, as always :) Sorry you have never gotten a Cave Horror task! It's a very nice task to have, I've decided. Very quick and painless and the dungeon was almost deserted (one more player game near the end of my task, but the dungeon was more than big enough for the two of us). Here's another level!
  4. So you're basically arguing that questers are more intelligent than your average RuneScape player? And what about those of us who hate questing but do all sorts of calculations to figure out the best way to train a skill? Or what about the people who spend their time figuring out things like combat formulas? Are you going to argue that those people are all questers too, because of their intelligence? A "skiller or indeed general player" is perfectly capable of figuring out that a leaf-bladed sword has a higher stab rating than a d long. Of course a SKILLER would have no business knowing that, but I'm sure that someone who is dedicated to training combat would certainly bother to figure that out. I'm not saying everyone would, but I certainly know quite a few people who would. Being a quester does not necessarily make you more intelligent than a "general player." And a skiller can master skills, which is certainly an "area of the game" and a quester may have no idea of. A skiller can figure out the most efficient methods of training and learn their skill in and out. Actually no, I'm not. Knowing a lot about the game is not in any way related to any level of intelligence. It may be that questers are more intelligent, but I would not make such a sweeping generalisation. I simply said they often know more about the game, meaning on a broad base that encompasses elements of every part of gameplay rather than "mastering" any single "skill". That is often true. And unfortunately that undoes your entire argument against my comments, since I was not suggesting that those who don't quest are more basic humans with a lesser capacity to process information. My point on skillers mastering skills which you omitted in your quotes was that in actual fact this stands for nothing. While the same could well be said for all elements of the game, having a 99 may statistically make you a master of the skill, but it doesn't really exhibit any special qualities. Just that you have more patience than someone who's repeatedly gone for 99s and failed. Arguably an achievement, but what have you actually learnt about the game? I say game, since that must be the measure of achievement in Runescape, given that the majority of its achievements mean nothing outside of it. I could, in a matter of perhaps 3 hours at most, work out the fastest way to gain 99 fletching having experimented with every possible fletching xp, but I don't actually have to bother getting to 99 in it to know that. Similarly, it's obvious that once you stop burning sharks, they become the fastest cooking xp. Or that the pyramid of plunder provides the fastest and easiest thieving xp. Etc etc. Oh and getting 99 doesn't signify your complete and infallible understanding of a skill, just your ability to follow the obvious hints for the fastest xp and stick to it. I'll admit to generalising and perhaps being unfair and uninspired by the mystical 99, but questing seems to take things beyond just the basic clicking and grinding which as a skiller, you are forever doomed to. I find them a welcome break myself, and would recommend them to anyone. If you hate them vehemently, follow a quest guide and skip the chat, you might as well still get them done. RuneScape isn't necessarily about "learning all you can about the game." I'd say it's about having fun, doing something you enjoy, and working towards achieving goals. Sure skilling may, for the most part, be clicking over and over and over again, but you can actually learn a lot about the economy and develop formulas and new, different methods of training. Both questing and skilling are achievements, but of a different kind. They require different skills and should both be respected for different reasons.
  5. Sorry I wasn't really talking to you about it. My comment was directed at tortilliachp but I chose you quote you as well because our posts had a similar purpose.
  6. I got this last night but didn't post it because I went to bed immediately after: I got a slayer task for Cave Horrors and got a black mask: Funny because when I first started slayer/summoning, I went to kill Cave Horrors for a black mask and didn't get one after several hours. So I caved and bought one. Now I get one when I don't want one  I also just got:
  7. woodcutting? mining? fishing? Yes your totally right, you can powerlevel those to 99 in two weeks each. There totally fast and you can always buy your way to 99 with those. hmm, wait a second. SARCASM. l2-f ing-p buddy And it's so easy to buy 99 prayer, smithing, herblore or construction. I mean you only have to make like 100 million gp for each of them, what a walk in the park.
  8. The final fight is actually really easy. I think I brought like 8 sharks and 4 prayer potions and didn't even use half of that (I'm level 111 by the way). Just focus on killing the Banshee Mistress, even when the others start attacking you. Once you kill the Banshee Mistress, everything else will die too. While killing the Mistress, I think I used protect from magic or melee (don't remember which, but she attacks with both). Once the others start attacking you as well, switch to protect from range. The fight lasted no more than a few seconds for me.

  10. No old pics, only recent ones. Oh I know. I constantly take pictures of people with familiar names, but never go through them. So I have a ton of recent pictures of people.
  11. Thanks for posting this :) I'm sure it will help a lot of people! I love this example:
  12. Thank you! Thanks :) But how about: [hide=Large Images] [/hide]
  13. Because flood control is turned off for moderators :P When I retired from being an admin, I ran into so many flood control problems, it drove me insane. Being a moderator/admin spoils us in that sense  For me, PMs were probably the biggest source of trouble. If I got multiple PMs, I would usually finish one in 30 seconds or less, move onto the next, and have to sit and wait for flood control to wear off. EDIT: Just to clarify, my position on this is still "no," unless/until we can decrease the flood control as post count increases.
  14. Thank you very much! :D Combat makes ME want to punch someone! Thank you! :) I'm not sure if you want to see my bank though  It's really not impressive at all. I use all my money towards skills so it's not like I have a hoard of awesome items in there  Thank you Sentry! Another familiar face :)
  15. Nice, congratulations!! How long did it take you to get them? I'm also doing slayer to get charms for 57 and man is it slooooow!
  16. I think it's incredible how long friendship lasts and how quickly time passes on Tip.it. A lot of us have been friends or have known each other for years. When I reopened my blog after returning to RuneScape after a year and a half long break, it was incredible to be able to say, "Oh hey! I remember you from a year and a half ago!"
  17. Your in high school? Your female? I learn more every day :-# Haha yep - female senior in high school :P *points to "Gender: Female" on the left hand side, under my avatar* :P

  19. Today I woke up, made 5k nature runes, then started on an Abarrant task but never finished  I bought 500 more super energy potions, just to stock up (have a little over 1,000 now) and about 10k essence. Once I'm done with slayer/summoning, I'm going to sell my Guthans/other combat supplies and stock up on essence. Even though I'll be incredibly tempted to buy some planks, I know I'll thank myself later if I just go crazy with buying essence. Then I poked around Tip.it for a bit and went out to dinner. Then I came home and got 94 runecrafting and now Dork and I are going to do some hunter for a bit! [hide=Two Screenshots] [/hide]
  20. I haven't been spotted since shortly after the first thread was created 8-) I think I may few have a pictures of Tip.iters.. I'll have to go through my screenshots though

  22. [hide=] [/hide] lahit, why is it that you have herblore listed as better than a quest cape, prayer listed as equal to quest cape but construction and "basically all skills you can plain buy" as skills that are worse than a quest cape? Herblore is one of the most buyable skills out there. In fact, it's equal with construction in my book, seeing as how they took me about the same amount of time to level to 99 and cost about the same. And prayer is almost about the same, but a little cheaper, I think (by maybe 20 million gp). Furthermore, why are "all skills you can plain buy" so bad? You do realize that it takes a ton of time and dedication to make upwards of 100 million, don't you? Not all people who have 99 construction and similar skills have hoards of party hats and millions of gp sitting in their bank, just waiting to be spent. Some people spent months making money in order to afford to level such skills. In fact, it could take someone longer to get 99 construction than to get 99 woodcutting or fishing. And the longer it takes, the more dedication and patience you need, in my opinion. I'm mostly just wondering why your list is so uneven. You have three skills that are almost identical in three separate categories.
