What is Christianity? (A CALM discussion of what it's about)
Mirror replied to Adventurer's topic in Off-Topic
Ok it looks like the argument of Predestination and Free Will has become the topic now. I am going to state what I have been taught, rather than argue for one side or another. Adventurer: You are debating for the side of Free Will. Paper: You are debating for the side of Predestination. Ok so you think that would end there. You two have been doing a fine job defending each side. Now let me interject the last side to this debate that I have heard. Note that this is a gray area in the Bible, meaning that there is almost no splicit answer. These areas can be debated to kingdom come, but I don't think it will be answered until we die and find out for ourselves. Supposedly, there is a third view of this whole circumstance that is a combination of both views. It is basically a half way stance for either side. God predestined in the sense that he offered a gift to us, the knowledge of all that we have been debating about. Now this is where the Free Will comes in. We have to accept this on our own accord, taking all that is around us and we ourselves make the final descision. I hope this makes sense. Now you could say, "What about those in the far deep jungles who possibly never had the chance to hear about it? Were they predestined to never know?" It says that they can know God through his marvelous works and all of the nature that is around them. Just take for notice that these civilizations had gods, maybe in sense, images of the one true God, just not with the same name. That my friends is another topic, which I for sure do not want to delve into right now. Just another gray area like shown above. I am not going to say with which side I believe in, but just leave it open for anyone who wants to discuss it. Have fun with this. -
I think we get the point that there are spammers and always will. I see them as mage bank pkers when I want to just get my cape back. :XD: You just have to over look them and keep going. Oh and I take offense that I am not counted in the list of tipitchat people since the beginning. You didn't mention any of the mods. :-w Also to Fook-A-Ji: I too can find the stories annoying but as my first paragraph suggests, you just need to over look it and keep going. If for some odd reason you can't, then how do you deal with people outside of Runescape that act just the same? Last time I checked, pointing fingers and saying you hate what someone is doing is one of the most least effect demonstrations around. Not trying to offend you, because right now you are starting to annoy me. :?

What is Christianity? (A CALM discussion of what it's about)
Mirror replied to Adventurer's topic in Off-Topic
As I said before, if you see problems with the debate I wrote, please criticize it or add to it. "I do not go with it" is not a valid argument. As I said before, I dont want to press my beliefs, I am just stating my opinion that I do not agree to the points. I am not trying to have an argument, I am just stating my perceptions of what I think about what you have written. Do I have to debate what you wrote, I thought this was a discussion.... -.- -

I didn't just give a straight answer on predestination. I gave you the entire debate. You are welcome to point out flaws within the debate, but to say that I did not delve sufficiently into the debate is puzzling considering that I gave you the entire debate, from start to end, in the form in which it has been rehashed over and over again. You obviously did not read the last answer that you so deeply doubt. Both the intensity of conditioning and the sacrifice refer to the last answer about the majority serving as victims for the minority to witness. They have nothing to do with the Golden Rule or blood offering or whatever else you wish to fill in without first reading, in its entirety, what you are quoting. You obviously did not read my first line, because you obviously did not quote me. I said you gave me a straight answer which all Christians answer but if I do not go with it, then how can that be an absolute truth as you basically have stated. There are as I have studied three parts to the debate. I don't know what kind of debate you have heard but mine have gone deeper than you have stated. Oh and that second part just goes back to what I said, I do not believe what you have stated as truth for what a Christian would say. Why would you quote me with out quoting all that I said. You make it show that all Christians would answer in that way, but if I say I am a Christian, and I don't answer it that way, then the argument gets nullified. I'm sorry I've thought this going to go somewhere, but I guess not. :| Oh fyi, I did read it and in its entirety. :P -

I find it hard that you can fill in words for a Christian because I thought earlier we discussed that we can not generalize, because truthfully, I did not agree to some if not all the answers you gave in blue. The one that got to me the most was the very last point. It goes into a whole part that even myself don't agree in. I said I won't press my beliefs on anyone but the argument you had can not be completed with a right or wrong answer. It goes into the debate of Predestination and Free Will, so I highly doubt a straight answer could be given like you have provided. Sorry I just had to go and point out on this paragraph. Alot of people follow by the Golden Rule (Do unto others as you would have done unto you) as a general statement for their lives. If this is such a strong intensity, I would fear what you count as mild or strong. Also what kind of sacrificial methods are you asking for as a Christian? I personally haven't sacrificed anything like a blood offering. I may have sacrificed that "fun" weekend with the booze but thats more of a morality issue rather than something with a "Christian god". -

If you're implying atheists can't appreciate life, you're mistaken. :) No not at all. :) I meant if you can go out, and see nature for instance and not think that someone or something was behind it, then good for you. People perceive things how they want to, and I dont want to bash anyone for that. -

[Views are of my own] I do count myself as a Christian and believe that God is the ultimate being that loves and watches over me. I have accepted this as my belief on my own account. Now if you can honestly go out and see everything that is around you and not think that something great has done this, then good for you. I am not one to press my beliefs on someone nor one to condemn someone for being a "non-Christian". I believe people to have a free will to choose what they want to believe in. Everytime I read a Christian or Bible topic, I see ones that basically mock what I believe in. They are yelling that you are going to hell or what not if you are not saved. Single me out if you want but I show my love to the world by giving them their space and stand out if people want to come to me and ask. You will hardly see me the one standing on a soap box holding a sign "The World is Coming to an End!" Then what is Christianity? I see it as a belief in God and Him sending His son to die for us. We have the free will to choose this or to deny it. I personally have accepted this and lived my life after an example as such. (PM me for rebutle or comments because I most likely wont make it back to this topic) -
I might as well step in here too. I used to go on regularly and just have a fun time in there. Mind you that I am retired while doing this so I log into Runescape for this chat. So honestly when other people are doing other skills and talking on the side, all I do is basically use that chat. Just thought I would get that out. It seems that it is "declining" but some people just like to be random. I try to have fun it what I do, and I try to have conversations of whatever it is. Sometimes they can be serious debates *rarely* but there also times where you want to bang your head against the desk. If you dont like it, dont go in there and you dont even need to post here. If you have a chat that you like, good for you. We all need to just find our place and if it is with one chat or the other, the job gets done. Also I would like to point out that the comment about the IQ being 75 points below the average scaper. I am most definitely only 74 points lower... \

I still remember 9/11 but I never hold ceremonies anymore. Yes it is something that wont be forgotten (from my standpoint) and should be remember but that does not mean we do or do not have to hold a ceremony of silence, etc. Also to all those that are publicaly making fun of 9/11 on purpose or jokingly, it just isnt right. Innocent lives were lost, but you can say the same thing with other situations. Sadly it was put that "One person lost is a tradegy, Millions of people lost is a number." It is a horrible way to look at it but it is still possible to do so. I will forever remember this day, just like I will remember what happened during WWII, etc. The only difference would be actually witnessing it.

Don't feel bad, this was the right decision. These posts here just show how much love and dedication you put into your work here. I certainly wont forget you for all you have done. My one memory I have of you is during a random TET event and we were going into the wilderness. You appeared to join in on the fun and at that moment, people started to gasp in awe that you were there. But at that moment someone attacked you, and Tip.it in return piled the attacker. Shows how much Tip.it loves the effort you put into everything. So let me finish off by giving my personal thanks for everything that you have done. I just cant imagine being in a place like yours and keeping a level head, and well I give mad props for that. Thanks so much and best of luck!

Some of mine: 1. MEP2 Hand holds 2. Olaf's Slippery Bridge and then they changed it to "what it was supposed to be" 3. Underground Pass with low agility 4. Roving Elves and all the traps within that area with low agility I think I am making a trend...

Is Tip.it harder to quit than Runescape itself?
Mirror replied to mrmyk's topic in General Discussion
I personally have quit RS (easier than expected) but I stick around with TIF. Alot of great people here are truly amazing people that you are great friends with. It is like leaving them once and for all, and you dont want to let go *quite* yet. -

Just in a little response to that, if we post here, we can get all sorts of different view on things, whereas you might be in a locked room with three or four people (depends on who is involved). Why do you need different views when you have a problem with a specific mod? It gains nothing when it is one on one in a topic that is meant for all. That is what I meant by my comment. People want advice they can ask for it. I regulate how much people are buying/selling. It is like telling a cow not to moo, it aint going to happen, it will.
