When we changed worlds the first time, it was because the world was full pretty much all the time. (W9) Like people have already stated, it has been a couple of days, not even a week. Hopefully the hype dies down just so we can keep W99 but if it doesn't in a couple of weeks, you guys can move, I got my homeworld still in me, cause I ain't movin'.

I believe Jagex did the right thing with Pest Control. A mini game is not supposed to be a direct source of exp, rather something fun with the exp as a side aspect as incentive. I remember when it first came out, they already had to cut the exp from rewards because it was such a great amount already. I know people complained that they "nerfed" it at that time but it was still the fastest way to gain exp per hour. A year rolls on and they change it. They did cut how much exp per hour you receive but they made it more of a "mini game" atmosphere. I don't think they wanted mini games to be 30 secs in length. Correct me if I am wrong but wasnt there more than one way to get points then to just destroy the portals? If you had the Void Knight last then you won, but with less rewards or something like that. Jagex wanted them to be longer, that is why they invented the random shields. They did the shields so you would talk to your teammates to work together to win, not just hack away at the same portal everytime. All in all, Pest Control is still the best way to gain exp. It just isn't as fast as games would be with a clan. I think the people that are "complaining" are those that are pures or those that were in 90+ clans whose combat levels are 90-99. Personally I am in that range too, but Pest Control bored me when I tried to play. I might be tempeted to try it again now with the updates.

That is a whole different aspect, yes you know that is part of the mini game, but people have fun while doing it. I know when I play Trouble Brewing, I grab a torch and keep lighting the bridge on fire and do a fire dance. Ok so I dont get the max amount of rewards but I am having fun while it is a fair part of the game. Heh, I had to add that last part because scammers could think it is fun to scam, but it is not a fair part of the game.

The thing that drives me the most is the compliments and push from my friends to obtain what I have wanted. Them wanting me to keep going have kept me going for so long. I played this game, not for myself, but a chance to change the normality in this game and help others out before myself. You guys were my drive.

Well I came back on my last day of membership, got rid of more things, and decided to *finally* post a pic of my bank. This means I am finally out for good. The end of a legacy, or the beginning of something great? It is your time to shine, you guys will do great. I can safely say that I have retired in the one place worth retiring, W99 Edgeville. Thanks for everything guys, and best of luck! -
Runescape has been the only MMORPG (I hope I did that right) that I have played. When I started there was scamming/begging which I acount as part of a "bad" community. But as the years have progressed, I have noticed an increase in these players and decrease in the nicer players in my view. Before I continue, I guess I should tell you what my view of a bad community. My view of a bad community is when there are people in the way/hindering the correct way to play/using language that is not appropriate of people that age. Runescape has seen an increase in these types of players. The biggest increase I have seen have been autoers in there actions of trying to farm gold. That is a different aspect of the community and will stay away from that. The players that use words such as noob or other "1337" terms have been introduced to this game. When I joined there were a mass that did that. It is nothing new, it is something you learn to deal with whether it be an ignore button or personally not caring. Scammers have been a part of this game as well, because they want to make an easy buck. I may have seen an increase in this but very little. Beggars being in the same category as Scammers. My overall thought is that the community has gotten worse, just not as big as some people have expressed. It may not be filled with language from that example used from Halo (thank you sensor) but it has a ton more problems besides the ones stated from other games. I think every game has its down point and those downpoints do not have to be true for every other game.

That is exactly what I believe, thanks for putting it into better words for me. I believe because the "leaders" of TIF have left, very few have replaced them and there was thus a void. Since there was a void to be filled, you have what you see now, a new community/generation.

Finally a topic I think I should post on. Most of you know that I have quit RS/Tip.it because of this reason. The leaders of the forum that I used to look up to are gone whether it was Shiva, Oergg, or someone else, it doesn't matter, it is not the same, and it will never be the same. I am not a RSC veteran but I played it along side RS2 back when I joined in 2004. (Just so Clippersboy gets off my case =P) I used to have the greatest times hanging out with people knowing who people were and what not. Now I had to keep my private on to friends only because of random people pming me and it is a wp. I dont even know who that guy was. There are alot of pointless topics being started in these boards but I guess thats what people have moved to. I just am not a fan of that anymore after recently I felt rejected when I had to add something to a topic. "What cape goes with what outfit?" topic and he wanted pictures so I took a picture of my QP cape with Eldinis Robes and I was told to get a matching outfit. I don't know why but that angered me. Once again, it just is not the same anymore, to my liking that is. I dont know if there is a way to solve this. Create a new board for "veterans" perked my interest but is just a wish which I dont think would become a possibility. I think that it just evolved to become this way and if you don't like, then I guess you are out. How much I hate to agree to it, I kinda do. I got pushed out of the community that I so dearly loved. But I have to back up some people from this new community. I see great leaders in this new group that will go far. It is just so hard to find them. Back in the day it was not hard with so fewer people but now it is with the mass of people. Don't lose all hope because hopefully those new leaders will try and keep what I remember a reality that I could perhaps come back to.

It is all in a matter of persepective. Some people enjoy having the mass space available for expansion, while some like it simpler. I personally have enjoyed both aspects. I like updates but I do enjoy things simpler as just fishing along Barb Village trying to get your level up. So much more peaceful imo, but once again, that's is my opinion. You do not have to follow my opinion. Off Topic: This is just crap!!! You are not rounding up every single f2p player of RS and putting them in the same notion of Scammers/Autoers/etc. That is bogus. I thought you guys would be better, because each person is a whole entire different person. Because some people ruin a game, does not mean you can ruin everyone's reputation because he plays in f2p. Whatever, I really don't care anymore.

Congrats on the achievement Shey, nothing is impossible when friends are by your side.

Well that confirms the 26 page max, but oh well? Some people enjoy reading things like this, time to do a count: 21/26 Pages. 5 to go.
-
Ooo congrats on the 95!!! Keep it up Dusty!!!

Updated from here, my question is why is there the random ones like Bob's Axes? Probably some humor added to it to mess with our heads.
-
Oh man that is a killer.

Updated from here, thanks for all of the submits so far.

Well with the new update came Ancient Pages that are dropped in the cavern. Some sort of story or diary is being told, and I really want to know what it reads. If you have any pages, go ahead and post them, that way we can try and piece this puzzle together. If you have any, go ahead and post them and I will add them to the first post. Pages Found: Seperated as it is a spread sheet of what it could be. Keep them coming guys, this is starting to get interesting.
