I don't want a GE because it reminds me of ze old days ^^ I also like wandering round varrock perusing peoples wares lol. Granted a GE make life easier and save me time, but I'm currently enjoying the novelty of the bazaar.

I havn't played a low level pure for quite some time, but from the vids that have been popping up I don't think there's an easy way around them at these low levels. At around 50 combat you can play a decent MSB/G'mauler and at 60 combat you can have 60 atk 60 str for a d scim and dds'er. I never remember them being such a problem, but back then we all played F2P at low levels. If you are just desperate to PK and cant wait to get the stats for a G'Mauler or 60 attack pure then make a lowbie with fire strike and a black dagger [sp] and poison then mage...

Aha bgs and claws hit too hard in PvP and make fights less fun. That's personal opinion and you may not shark it, but many people do. Likewise, if you introduce ags to pvp are you going to start balancing the combat triangle by bringing in handcannon and polypore to make it 'fair'? No need to start this arms race imo. It's fine as it is.

@LogOnBeach Jamflex may have "bent over backwards" but they made themselves an awful lot of money in the process.

Not allowed, but I don't think Jagex really care too much - Especially the current management who appear far more tolerant of legacy rules. Your call, could potentially earn you an infraction but the most likely punishment would probably be a mute from a pmod selling competing goods lol. No action taken because it is hard to enforce. The whole thing is rather silly really and the issue would quickly be rendered obsolete if jamflex just introduced a copy paste function.

Of course I CAN do that, but why should I when it's an inconvenience that I've never put up with, even in 07. Get down off your high horse and accept that RS has never been 'hard'. Just time consuming. It's a game, a luxury, a leisure activity. Your accomplishments mean nothing, and Runescapes difficulty is only relative to how little you value your IRL time and how much you're willing to sink into it. Get some perspective and you may appreciate that everyone wants RS for different reasons - some want to merch without the GE, some want to PVP without overpowered weapons, some hate the eoc action bars, and some want to act tough online and pretend they are some kind of hardcore elite playing a game on challenge mode.

After reading replies here and there - I'm going to have to retract the above post, I was wrong, there's nothing wrong with making superficial changes so long as they have the support of the community. Quite exciting to be given the chance to build RS again, the correct way.

Lol, in 07 I distinctly remember being able to PK on F2P worlds and play without every roof getting in the way. Did you clowns even read the poll options? Glad those two are there - don't really care about any of the other stuff.

I'd rather not change anything, let it be a nostalgic and authentic snapshot of August 07. I have never been a big fan of the ditch, but once you start making changes and tweaks to OSR then you're going to have to keep making changes because there will always be someone who'll be vocal about disliking something. Leave it as it is, warts and all. If we really do have the mature 18+ community that people keep touting then we'll be able to deal with the things that aren't quite part of each individuals personal view on the golden 'scaping composition and be able to focus on and appreciate that which we do have and enjoy.

Or did you mean on tip.it? I don't think we do anyway, I remember the tip.it marketplace was always ridiculously dead. The official forum marketplace is better to use, keep as much trading centred around the same place and it's better for everyone.

Wined pures are a relic from classic, not 2007 - Don't worry about them, combat levels are calculated differently now. There's a few different viable PKing builds, depending on your own style. Range 2hers were great in F2P, but 2007 doesn't yet have F2p or F2p styled servers. A good quick pure to make for fun in that level range could have 60 attack, 70-80 range and str and 82 mage for blitz

Well that depends, what are your combat stats? I ranged it with 20 def, 45 range and an invent of lobsters with no problem...

Honestly I don't really care - I don't give a shit about high scores or firsts or other peoples achievements in general. I just play a game and hit monsters and people and stuff. It's fun, you should try it. ;)
