Earned my first whip [When that was an achievement] by world hopping and buying huge amounts of bloods from the edgy mage, then flogging them on world 2. Massive profit margin at the time, considering no stats were required. Always wondered why more people didn't do this? Armour 'trimming' ... [i know, I know...] Killing druids for unids!

Not tried beta as I wont pay for RS atm, reading the EoC FAQ I saw the new level calculation is 2+Defence level+Highest out of range/mage/str/attack So with 1 def and 99 str/range/mage i'd be CB 102? Same as a non pure with 50 defence and 50 strength? Am I understanding this properly? How does that work? Is defence OP enough to make such a difference?

3 months is long enough to have a bit of fun, as combat is changing i'd say thats even more reason to experience something now that may no longer be viable in the future. Range/2h pures are best in middle level ranges. At low levels fireblast is a little op, and at high levels its hard to find a fight thats not spoiled by some def noob ;) Aim for 40 attack [45 if you can cba getting DG], 70 range, 70 str and 1 prayer. I dont know what the trend is now, but its always better to aim for lower prayer then train more if you need it, than doing the opposite. Dont spend too much time blasting the high levels, as others said combat is changing. Get some 70's and have a bit of fun while you still can.

Thanks to both of you, I think I'll have a go at AC2 but if it's as dull i'll amuse myself with Fallout 3 DLC instead whilst I wait for my gf to finish college and we can complete all the fps co-op we said we would. :P It's a shame because it seems like a story that could get really involved and interesting...

The new assassins creed looks good, thought i'd play through all the old titles first so I get the story-line but after around 3 hours into AC1 i'm ridiculously bored. Do they all play like AC1? How dependant on the older titles are the younger titles regarding appreciating the story-line? Don't want to miss out, but I don't have the time to sink into a game i'm not enjoying.

What? We know next to nothing about it so far, so how can you say bad execution? It's got nothing to do with TES apart from IP? Look at it, it uses the same engine that bioware used for star wars TOR for goodness sake. Its trying to cut a slice of WoW's market, thats' not going to happen? WoW does WoW already, and it does WoW very well. For a new MMORPG to be worth playing it will have to do something significantly different to WoW - Like GW2 or D3. Invest it until I get out of the army, then travel with my girlfriend for as long as we liked. When that becomes boring i'd set up my own private security company and invest the rest into my girlfriends craft business and work for a living like a productive member of society. Until that got boring, then who knows.

I need to buy a suit that is cheap but doesn't look cheap for interviews with the Army Officer Selection Board. It has to be cheap because i'm a very poor student, it has to look good for obvious reasons. As I'm poor and tight, I like to buy clothes that can be re-used in various settings, formal and informal to keep my wardrobe small and efficient. I own a couple of good looking blazers/waistcoats, shirts and pants already (Charity shopping isn't tight, it's vintage and charitable. ;) )- But nothing that cohesively could fit together to be called a suit. What should I be looking for and where should I be looking? In the UK, btw.

This annoys me so much. Buying music is an awful way to support a band, because as everyone knows bands get such a small cut from song sales regardless of piracy. Download the music, if you like it then go to gigs and buy merch. Its just like opensource software? If you like it, you support it. Reward performers for performing, not for recording a song once in a studio...

What are 1 def DG exp rates like? How long do you think it'd take to get a rapier? Considering that i'm maxed apart from def and attack, do the best strategies differ from 'main' players? Once i've quested and trained for turmoil, i'll probably get 45 defence eventually anyway - Better to focus on this first, instead of DG? Thanks.

If I were you i'd just barrage in Castle Wars whenever you get bored doing serious training... because its fun. Its not the fastest but who cares so long as your having fun. If you're just waiting for D3, why waste your time grinding like a [bleep] - Make the most of your last month of RS and 'play' for a bit :)
