[/hide] Since my last update a lot has happened. I have finally managed to reach the 2k milestone in this game. I won't keep it secret/hideen anymore, here you go, enjoy you all who posted: I got this level-up after having been training hunter (I caught red chinchompas in the Feldip Hills hunter area, extra money ftw), agility (werewolf course) and smithing (mithril platebodies at Varrock anvils) for the last level in these skills. I also leveled prayer to 80 (Thank you Jack of All Trades!). This last prayer level made me reach level 2001 :P. Thank you to those who came and said congratulations! So that is 4 new 80+ skills for me, making it 16 in total. Just another 9 to go! The next ones I will focus on are Fishing, Firemaking and Cooking. I have already started a bit on the firemaking one, leveling from level 72 to level 74 by burning yew logs at bonfires. I did this at both the GE and with my gf who also plays RS. Training firemaking: Firemaking level-ups: I have also decided which my next 99 skill should be: Crafting! This since crafting is a skill I have always enjoyed, and I also believe runecrafting and crafting would be an awesome 99 combo. This is the reason to why I have trained crafting (A LOT of lamps used here) recently, to reach this nice level-up: The reason I got so many lamps was because of the new discontinued item that Jagex have released: The fish mask. I believe that they will be rising over the next few years. I have therefore been collecting them both by spinning on the SoN (from where I got all those lamps for 91 crafting above) and buying from other players. I managed to get 5 masks from the SoN, the rest I bought for about 1,5-2m each from other players. So now I have my soon to be my own little discontinued items collection: Even if these masks doesn't rise that much I will still make quite a profit. It is enough with a 10M increase for me to have made a whopping 150M profit! :D Another thing I have managed to do is to complete a quest I started several months ago: Lunar Diplomancy. It was a great quest. I loved to be inside my own dreams...:) GOP tokens atm (Soon halfway to 150k which is the goal): Finally: Stats and bank (very small cash pile atm because of those fish masks)

I doubt they will be worth billions, but give them a couple of years and they will certainly have increased quite a lot in value.

Most probably no. They're free to get, so why make them tradeable? It would also mean lots of people would get them instead of buying spins for SoF rares.

Well, if they did so, people would know these rares could all be reintroduced. Then none would buy spins to get them anymore. So Jagex would just destroy more for themselves lol :P

Yes, yes.. that's what people thought too, 8 years back.. And even if this guy happens to be right, it's better safe than sorry. That's why I am getting myself fish masks. I don't want to miss out on a chance to make a nice millions of gp profit.

It is only a slow and steady decrease if new players come and those new players also stay long enough to even learn what it is... Very true. RS won't die this easily though. If they however actually open a mini-transactions shop...

And then be taken out at the end of summer, making it a rare. Precisely. And for those saying that there will be so many fishing masks in the game after this: There was a hell lot of party hats/halloween masks/santa hats/other discontinued items after their release into the game. People most probably knew they wouldn't get another chance to get these items. So just wait 5-10 years. Then price check the fishing mask.

Found this interesting. Yes I am mad. So, basically, buy spins or buy masks from those who have done now. Stock up on those masks. Keep them in bank for 5 years. Sell for a HUGE profit. I will be honest here: I might just buy myself a few spins, even though I am against this system, this is a chance not to make a puny 10M, but 1000M+ in the long run. The fish flingers update looks good though.

Good luck on your road to 99 Farming! It is no easy skill to get 99 in, but you seem to be pretty determined with this goal, making a blog solely for it and all.

I signed up and since I have been a member since 2007, without breaks, I will be free to use the BETA as soon as it launches. I can't wait. It really seems like this will be an awesome update :). No more click and wait! At least for combat... :P
