My dad is a genius. He is smart as hell, he knows everything about everything, he was the only person in my life as a child that I would see going to the library to read and gain knowledge everyday, growing up in NYC. My dad is a drunk/deadbeat dad. Since before I was born, he would beat my mom, he would drink all the time. He was the reason my little brother was born through C-section, he beat my mom while she was pregnant. He was emotionally weak, everytime something would go wrong, he'd turn to alchohol. When I was twelve, he got drunk on christmas and broke all the windows in our house, he was arrested that night, he came back the next day and tried to kill my mom in the kitchen. I respect him, I love him, but I wont ever forgive him for what he's done. He left my mom when I was almost 13. After that he got arrested for trying to burn down a house, he was in jail for a year and a half(nothing new, he was in jail for more than half of my life). I can't say more than that because of legal issues. He was one of the smartest male role models in my life, but he was also the most dissapointing.
