i dont understand why some ppl are bashing these people for going 24 hours on rs, its nothing new.. they simply set a goal for themselves, and now they a little famous, their names are blocked out though, but they deserve an applause tbh i could never do that, but some of the skills can be beaten. Like the record holder is 98 ranged, someone doing chins with lvl 99 and full armadyl/full vk could probably beat that (range pots ftw?), and also 99 magic, barrage lol. and woodcutting record is at lv 90, with 99 and dragon axe, that could definitely be beaten. crafting? wth hax0r? does black dragonhides even come close to that?

Its a holiday for pete's sake! We're all celebrating! Everyone should have access to the events; why exclude a group?! Why do we even have groups, we're all people. and who cares, this might just be a one time thing with the vote. but then again who knows. Personally I like surprises way better than: "Hey dad, can you buy me a that pair of jeans ... christmas ... oh wow, the pair of jeans i wanted" I wanted the broom, but the hood looks tremendous, who cares if members has 20 something hoods; the grim reaper hood looks way better imo. And if you're still bummed about the hood, and think f2p is the reason for that, then you should know Jagex got those suggestions from the rs forums in the first place, yeah from p2p thats right. The hood problem started with members, yeah you just got pwned.

Bone and mith bolts have completely different uses, so mith bolt business won't be affected. Mith bolts and up are used for higher defence monsters/bosses. Seriously, would you use bone bolts against iron drags like you would for mith bolts? Mith bolts are only used for those higher defense monsters because you receive a much higher Ranged bonus with the Rune Crossbow than you do with the Bone Crossbow. It doesn't change the fact that bone bolts are still equally as effective as mith bolts for a mere fraction of the price. their not equally as effective. Using a rune crossbow you can get around +190 range bonus, with bone xbow i'm around +141 that is a big difference. if mith bolts were any good before the update then the market for them should stay about the same. They seem overpriced to me anyways..

It's not comparable to a whip. A whip is a lvl 85 slayer drop, requiring at least 70 attack to wield and costs at the moment something like 1.5-1.6M. Bone xbow and bolts require only a few very easy quests and 51 ranged i believe. I love ranged, it's my favorite skill, but really those bone bolts have got to go. Reduce damage to less than bronze and it is ok. Make sure people can sell the bolts back for 4gp each. So, no big loss for people who spend millions on it. Equipment like this only destroys a skill, not improve it. well first of all, we're not discussing price; i know the whip is a drop from abby demon, thats why it costs 1.5m+ we're talking about power, i dont think it's overpowered at all, because ive seen people hits 40s with whip in pest control and when ur talking about maxing out at 24/25 damage at 99 range with a bone xbow, then it just seems silly damage in comparison to the whip. i dont understand why people want to nerf it, just because the ranged skill got a cheap weapon thats good. Seriously it's not like you can pk someone easily with them, its best used for training. chins completely dominate..dont you think theyre overpowered? --- i guess this discussion is about the price then, 'why is it priced so low, and why is it so good'? jagex most likely price it the way they did because did u ever see anyone use it before the shop updates? prolly not. it was prolly considered a noob weapon.."omg bone weapon" all i can say is: relish this opportunity while you can and if you hate the xbow just because you dont have 1, i can sell you one! lol[/b]

some of you might already know me as a bone xbow supporter --- Im soo against nerfing, finally a range gets its own whip! i mean .. in combat, ooh the whip, hits high, hits fast, hits strong now the bone xbow comes along, operating at the same speed as whip, hitting high, hitting hard, and some people want to nerf it? pretend its just a weapon like the whip, if u wanna nerf the bone then nerf the whip.. i seriously hope this doesnt happen..

Champions Guild < Heroes Guild < Legend's Guild --- Personally I think all the guilds are about even in their usefulness. Champions has a shop, a chicken garden, and champion scrolls; heroes has glory fountain, blue dragon, various mining ores including 2 runites; legends with it's various shops, legends cape, and under ground training area. cmon, what're u complaining...the guilds aren't that prestigious anyways, I mean there's countless people with access to them. Its like the fire cape lol...no one really cares anymore. I do hope jagex updates it someday, but there are more important things, like ranging \

I believe this topic got side tracked really fast...the point was will the bone crossbow own the magic short bow in training! The literal fact is that it does beat the magic short bow..(only when your talking about relatively same priced ammo...no doubt you'll beat bone bolts if you use rune arrows but thats improbable) Some people are also saying that they prefer their Rune xbow and mith bolts? Yea are you crazy...mith bolts are 150 each, you cant discuss something that expensive....even if you have the money or not. If you didn't know 150 ea for 1 piece of ammo is considered expensive... really. --- I recommend everyone try the bone crossbow, it has a very nice firing speed; i can honestly compare the speed to a whip, they basically match in speed. And the bolts only cost 4 gp ea, at infinite amount. At 92 range i hit 18s on rapid, no prayer or pot, just normally; with prayer i hit 20's. Try it!

that and maybe someone could constantly cast vengeance on them? (idk anything about vengeance..can it even be casted in non wildy area?) Vengence requires a high mage level, which would make them well over lvl 3 :wink: most do it with rings of recoil and genie lamps from what I've read. yeah u misread what i wrote though. i said someone could keep casting vengeance on them...someone else could..like a partner, anyways. I did the mini quest after completing the to my roots quest and heres some tips: the jungle spider inside the vine area drops the foot, torso, and both arms.. and they dont seem to drop anything else move on to soldier ants, those drop both the legs. take the foot, torso, both arms, both legs, and the hand you originally got from the package in back to my roots quest and take them to the magic guild and talk to the ... main guy. (forgot his name..starts with a Z, i think). he will talk, you'll give him pieces, blah blah, he says he will teleport you, and say yes..youll be in brimhaven. next to you therell a table, search the table, find a diary. unlock that diary, read..and teleport back to magic guild and talk to main guy again.. youll be in a cutscene, the burial ceremony for the wizard.. rewards..10k magic xp, 100 law runes, 200 blood runes (mentioned before)

you forgot to mention you need a spade in the 'required' items' section, even though you mentioned it in the middle its best in the front i wasnt very happy going through the end of the jungle vines and realizing i didnt bring a spade; but then again you can say i didnt read.. :^o [EDIT]

thnx for your input on the xp/hour values of the higher level ammo. That ammo is quite expensive though, as for using the knives on high level monsters, of course the higher range bonus and better range lvl would win, but that it not the point of this thread; the point is getting the most xp from weak monsters using very cheap ammunition. lucky pl0x drops \

wow are you sure you need that many?! Well..also consider ava's accumulator, that should drastically cut down on the loss of knifes maybe bringing it down to 200k or probably less \ also depends on your range lvl and range attack bonus and things like that, good luck, but yeah your 8m figure is probably some what accurate :
