What do you think is true happiness?
I think there are different levels of happiness, and i also think they change from person to person. I personally have three main, but very different memories of events which i could describe as 'perfect' for the time, and still bring a smile to my face thinking of them, even if for others they wouldn't be so great. One memory is from when i was very young, probably between 3-6, on one of my birthdays, out on out pateo, with my family, sun shining, my god-mother had got me a farm set for my birthday, and we laid it out on a blanket. That memory has stuck with me for the last 15+ years, so i can say that was happiness. The second was about a year ago, on a night out with my two best friends from secondary school, on the way back from buying some drink, stopped at a bench that overlooks the river that go's though the town in the middle of a park, and sat there for about half an hour talking, drinking and just having a good time. I guess it sticks in my mind because it was the last time we were all out with each other with no bad things going on in any of our lives, and no complications, and it was about two months before one went to uni, and the other started full-time work. The third memory, well, brings a massive grin to my face, but i wouldn't be allowed to explain it here on TIF, but is definately here in my three memories which i believe i had true happiness.

Love the irony there, but they did just put the pictures in there for fun as they can't really put any others in their DevBlog. I think Kietaro1's post expresses the same thoughts that i have.

Mount & Blade: You conquer castles and stuff!
I'm so looking forward to warband, heres some info for people: Mount&Blade: Warband. introduces a number of features that players have specifically requested and which will vastly improve the overall gameplay experience of this revolutionary title. Key features revealed for the first time at E3: - Overhauled graphics; HDR, FSAA, Depth of Field, Soft particles, Tone Mapping and many other effects are all now implemented. - Majority of Models are being redone. - Multiplayer battles can now handle up to 64 players with Mods including Team Death Match and Search & Destroy. - Ability to become the ruler of a faction and convince lords to become your vassals in the Single Player Campaign. - Ability to upgrade your companions to vassalage by granting them land. - Improved Mechanics for Soldier Morale: Soldiers will break and run away if their morale gets too low. - Formations - Completely new faction (Possibly Asian Influenced according to Screenshots) - Customizable quick battles - New weapons, armour, etc. to add with the new faction. - Diplomacy options - Improved stragetic AI - More options in sieges - Improved horse archery - It'll be more difficult to keep soldiers from an enemy faction. For example, if you are a Vaegir and you keep raiding Swadian villages, swadian troops in your party will be more likely to desert and your party morale will be reduced. You can guess which part i'm mostly looking forward too. A bit more info in this vid: [yt]W4Yljp00_tc[/yt]

Make sure it's legit. If you didn't sign up for it, theres a slight chance it 'could' be a scam.

80-90 Construction?
Can i just say, i personally find oak doors to be a worse way of trainign than larders. The main reason is the same reason people think they are good, the fact they use 10 logs. With larders, you can have 24 planks for 3 larders, noted planks, sc hammer, saw and cash for the butler in one inventory , meaning 24 planks used per trip to un-note planks by the butler. But with doors, you can only use 20 logs per un-noting trip by the butler, and leaving 4 inventory spots wasted, and 4 less planks used. My method of training was creating 2 larders, sending the butler to un-note 24 more logs, then creating a third larder while the butler was away.

18th August 2009 - Menagerie, Familiar Controls and Butler
It's a great update imo, only one bad thing to say about it. I really don't like how the Menagerie has no walls and sticks out like a sore thumb. I was going to have one of the two grassy floored designs but even they stick out badly, so i'm going with the volcanic theme. It's made my house un-symetrical now, so i'm goign to have to build another formal garden next to it.

Mount & Blade: You conquer castles and stuff!
I've dusted off my copy of M&B and been playing it again this last week, i've found a great mod. http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/board,91.0.html It's called extended gameplay 3, and it's much like the Native expansion, except it's imo alot better. I don't want to give much away about what the mod involves because as the creator of it said, he wants people to find it out by playing it. I've also eben using ther graphics packs the creator suggests. [hide=Spoiler about EG3]The game has the normal mod stuff, like extra armours, new units etc, i won't go into detail about them. But the main reason this mod is so good imo, is that it finally gives M&B a purpose. Most other versions have basically the same premise, you go around building your army, either making your own kingdom or joining another and taking buildings. EG3 has a system where it feels as if the whole game is one big story if you think about it enough. The Mod has a system, where after level 7, you have a 50/50 chance of dieing when knocked unconcious during a battle. Once dead, you become a spirit, (nothing actually changes about your appearence, except you get a flaming skull helm which has incredible armour bonuses). Your spirit only has enough strength to last 20 days before vanishing. The basic premise is to stop that from happening. You ened to get 3 charms to ressurect yourself. Death ward: It's gotten by beating an army of the dead. These are small armies usually 40-60 in size, but they are made up of the strongest units in the game. These are spirits, much like you as the player. I've personally had a 100 strong army wiped out by the army of the dead, and only killing one of their units. Charm of Regeneration: when doing regular battles in the game, if you are involved in a large battle, or against very strong armies, you have chances of getting either war, battle or epic trophies in the loot. These can either be gambled in for normal items at markets individually, or by having one of each traded for the charm of regeneration at any market. The charm also slowly heals you while in battle, so it's a good one to get first. And lastly, the charm of fear. This is gotten by beating a migrating barbarian army. What makes them strong? It's that the army is spawned at 500+ units. They aren't particularly strong, but with those numbers, their battle advantage always means that they outnumber any on the battlefield, and have more troops in reserve than any army aswell. The way i think of it, is that it's proving strength, by killing a small but incredibly strong army, endurance, by having enough battles to get all the trophies, and bravery, by daring to go up against a 500 strong army. Personally i've not got the charm of fear yet, so i don't know what happens after that, but it definately gives the game much more of a purpose. Your a man/woman trying to save yourself from your own imminent death.[/hide] Another mod that looked like it had some promise was the Fire Arrow mod: http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/board,133.0.html Thise mod's shining feature is that you can set things on fire. You can use, or get your army to use torches and fire arrows to set anything made of wood/sraw etc on fire, and it will burn (apparently). I say apparently, because the creator of this mod ruined his own mod, which could have been incredible if he hadn't. He ruined it by changing the troop upgrade system. He made a system, where for example, to train one single castle guard to the next tier troop, you personally need to get him x helm, x weapon, x armour, x boots etc. This totally ruined this mod for me. Having to go around 12 towns just to find the items to upgrade one single unit is utter lunacy.

-# The Great Tip.It Grid #- New support Sigs!
Had a busy weekend, so only just got around to updating the grid: @hawkxs, i'm sorry to say this, but your 'A', and the two squares from the Fally thread are too big. I updated the square size around page 4 or 5 i think, and i guess you didn't notice. I shoul have made it more noticeable. The square on page 1 is now the size people should do their squares in, which needs updating in your threads aswell. The square i used originally had too much border in it, which means that with pictures like what is being done in the gallery using all the square, after about 4 or 5 in a row, they will end up overlapping the next square alot. It was a mistake i made when i first made the grid square, sorry. Hate to say, but they all need resizing. I'd do it myself, but i don't want to cut off any important parts which people have done, and end up ruining somebodies square. @Jopie211, i'm guessing you got your square template from Hawk's thread in the gallery, Your picture just needs re-sizing to 139x140. I don't want to ruin your picture by re-sizing it myself, so i'll let you do it. sorry guys, that's my mistake, i should have made it more noticeable that i'd changed the square size.

The Ban on Minigame Clans?
I'd just like to point out some major things in this argument. There is a massive difference between Cw clan's, which i have personally been heavily involved in (i was in what most consider the first ever official cw clan) and groups of players who rig cw games to get tickets. Cw clans will NEVER play for tickets when playing as a clan. When in a war, or an event, they will play to win, but tickets are a pure afterthought. Even when playing outside of the clans in everyday games, most cw clan members will play just to win, and not for the tickets. Cw clan thread have been locked for years on the RSOF when outside the clan-only forums. The early cw clans sprung up in the 'Events' forum, and after a year or two either got closed or moved to the clan areas. So any so called clan thread being locked, is nothing new whatsoever. I, and i can take an educated guess that the majority of cw plyers will laugh at any player willing to rig games for tickets. If you want to rig games for Adamant armour be my guest, because you are wasting your time. Cw players don't play for decorative armour, we're not stupid people, we know it takes hundreds of hours to get the decorative armour, but we have fun while getting it. I would guess that the majority of current cw clan members would be fine if there were no rewards at all from cw. I would compare this to the fletching skillcape for those who hate fletching but still get it, but made 100x bigger. You know the type, those who get the cape just to show off, but hate the skill. they are looked down upon, instead of held highly, because the majority know they have wasted their time. But back on the topic which seems to mainly be, if these threads ar eclosed why aren't others, it depends on the mini-game and the thread. non-combat sc don't rig the games, any of the teams can win. But i do agree that threads which promote rigging the games should be locked.

School
College (uni) gives you a lot of free time as a freshman. I get confused with the American System. Here in the uk, you finish secondary school (high school) at 16, then can either end school, or go to college for two years(or 6th form). then after those two years go to university. 6th form and secondary school were so much fun looking back on them. At the time it felt so grinding and boring, but oh by god i wish i could have that much of an easy life nowdays. 6th form esepcailly, doing only three subjects, i had so many free periods, life was a breeze. The best part though was that it was free. Uni is so complicated, the fees alone are taking months to sort out, i had less complications in around 14 years of schooling than i have in the 4-6 months of trying to sort out fees for university.

How many Christmas Crackers and Phats are left?
Nobody can give an accurate estimate outside of Jagex themselves, as banks are private, so anybody can have them, and nobody can see them unless people wear them. Becuase of that, i don't think anybody here can give you the answer, to and prevent any spamming, i'm locking the thread.

Stealing Creation
It depends on the item and how you use it really, it's very use-specific. Basically, if you use it faster than you get it, it isn't worth it. But then factoring in some skills when your halving the costs of leveling them, it's all down to personal choice.
