Exactly! The capes are a game breaker. There has to be a mechanism to remove finished goods from the game, so that the glut of production doesn't kill the value of the skill. It has gotten to a point, where is it literally cheaper to not level then to level. Consider prayer pots. Prayer pots sell for 5,675 each. To level from 0 in herblore to 38 would take 1,217 attack potions. Not counting vials or seconds it would cost 543,999 to be able to make prayer pots "for free." It only gets worse at higher levels. Crafting is in a similar boat. The capes destroyed one of the main reasons for leveling; the monetary rewards for being "the best" at something. The two main reasons people give that this is a feature of the game and not a game breaker, is that "You're paying for the exp not the materials." I call shenanigans on this, b/c at this point, apart from quest requirements; there is no real reason to level. I don't think I am being unreasonable for wanting a break-even method to level. People also counter with "Gather your own materials." Yeah there is nothing I would like better with my free time is to click an electric rock 10k times. If I wanted a boring repetitive job, I would stick with Kinko's. The glut of outputs must be removed. I agreee with both wholeheartedly. I had a friend who got 99 fletching before skillcapes, and he got it not for the 99 but because he profited from it. As was the case for almost all skills back then, you level'd a skill either for fun or money. The only people who would 'throw' money at a skill were people getting quest requirements or the very rare person trying to get a skill to 99. But nowdays with the majority of people leveling skills like fletching, smithing, herblore, crafting etc are doing it for exp and levels opposed to fun or for money. Which just means that they don't care wether the skill is profitable as much as they arent aiming to make anything. Before skillcapes, the skillers making the profits controlled the markets, they would keep the items they sold a certain amount above the items they brought, which they also had a hand in controlling the price of being the main people buying them. But now with the thousands only doing a skill for exp and not profit, and with the addition of the grand exchange taking the control of the market away from the skillers, the prices just go the way of the people willing to throw money at a skill, buying items higher than the skillers, and undercutting the skillers on the produced item.

Meh this event's been kinda ruined for me. Kinda got crashed by the [developmentally delayed]s from the CWC, as per usual they want to show off. Once i saw how many were there i didn't even try to get in the game in time. From alot of comments i saw it was all like 'omgz there just pking' 'omg there using water staff to ice!!' Kept having to say were a fansite not a cw clan, its an event for fun not to play seriously :wall:

For smithing at 60+ with a profit blast furnace is without a doubt the best way to go, much faster exp and a very good profit aswell. viewtopic.php?f=113&t=749184 For herblore i would suggest cave crawlers in the stronghold of security for herbs then buy the seconds on the g.e, then sell the potions on the g.e. Or you could do the other way and buy the herbs and get your own seconds, i would say the easiest second to get is snape grass or eyes or unicorn horns, but that way you would make a loss.

It doesen't hit you, it drains the hp of every player in a 3x3 square around it by 5-12 hp per second and any hp that's drained adds to the Corp beasts hp. Has no drops. When its killed, it will respawn very quickly again, within 5 seconds.

I think your confusing alittle joke by the guide reader to an actual requirement. You need to have an 'affinity for diplomacy' to do the quest as it has alot of diplomatical things in the quest, its not an item itself.

Add blue mystic top (blue), mystic air staff, mystic fire staff and 35 addy bars to the droplist.

This easily beats GWD imo. The boss has over 8x more hp than the GWD bosses, and can ko you as quick as zilyana in close combat, when its the other side of the room.

Its a very good video, apart from that one point where it goes really quickly all of a sudden
