Had a friend over last night and I basically forced her to watch Werckmeister HarmÃÆÃâÃâóniÃÆÃâÃâák. I think this is the third time I've seen it in two months. And it can't get enough of it. It's so beautiful. After that we went to the cinema and saw The Number 23 which wasn't anything special. Fun for a night, but quite forgetable. The most fun we got out of it was spotting all the 23s in the backgroudns and so that weren't explained. And my housenumber is 32! 23 REVERSED! :uhh:

Spione (1928 - Fritz Lang) This is the first movie Lang made for his own production company. And as we're used from him it's groundbreaking. He basically set the standard for the Spy-thriller. And other elements from his movies come back again, as well as new things that you would see in later films. The criminal mastermind in search of power, the media presure, his incredible eye for detail and of course the amazing sets. The new score by Donald Sosin on the Masters of Cinema release fits the movie perfect. Recommended!

For all I know everybody kid of grows up with it here. It's not like you feed a 8 year old kid drunk. But you give him a sip or something because they're curious. And when they're a bit older 12/13, they get a glass of beer or something on a special ocasion. And everybody basically starts going out at to caf̮̩̉̉s at the age of 14/15 (in my surroundings at least), and there they drink, beer, or way too sweet (not as in tasting good, but tasting sweet/sugary) liquor. I don't think it done me much harm. Maybe (well, make that deffinitely) a bit of a beer belly, but I'll get over that. I drink every day by the way. Not drunk though, one or two a day. Oh, and I don't drink to get drunk. It tastes good.

It's kind of funny, or sad, that the only thing that is happenin here is ignoring it and automatically go into defence mode.

Hey, Satenza. Have you heard about the new release of Pennebaker's Don't look back? It's a fantastic documentary! And I can only recommend it. If you're interest I can also recommend the 'deluxe' edition. As it comes with more footage on disc two, a book to acompany the documentary and as a cool bonus a flip book on subterranian homesick blues. It's worth every penny, especially for the Dylan fan. :) I've seen a couple of things since Bride of Frankenstein. I went to cinema and saw the American remake of Theo van Gogh's INTERVIEW. I never really liked the orignial version, and I didn't really like this one either. But it was better than the first. More interesting was the short movie Raak which they showed before the movie started. You can see it here. Don't worry, it's perfectly legal. Click the part that says "Video. Raak. Regie: Hanro Smitsman". Takes 10 minutes and worth your time (no subtitles though, but that doesn't really matter, the image speaks for itself). Later I saw David Lean's A PASSAGE TO INDIA which wasn't bad. Had a few moments of brilliance, but had some bad parts as well. Much better was Jean Renoir's THE RIVER which plays in India as well. I had seen it before, but felt like watching it again thanks to A Passage to India. Then what did I see more, tonight I had a friend over, and I decided to show him FREAKS. And that was a good choice, he really liked it, and it was a pleasent surprise, because his wife is facinated by freaks, and had never seen the movie, so he's got a nice gift for mothersday. :)

So, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m sure you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve all heard of Tom Morello and his guitaringwork with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. This revolutionary man is now going solo. Don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t expect anything heavy. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a simple set-up; he picked up an acoustic guitar, grabbed himself a harmonica and wrote some protest songs. The album is out now for a couple of weeks, and I must say I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m quite impressed. Sure, his vocals aren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t the best thing around (and then I put it nicely), but the message comes trough quite well. If you want to place him somewhere, you could best compare it with Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and his vocals have got a Nick Cave-like sound. But then less good. So far One Man Revolution, The Road I must Travel Flesh Shapes the Day, Battle Hyms and Maximum Firepower are favorites. And what Tom thinks of himself: Thanks Wikipedia And where you can try some of his music: http://www.my space.com/thenigh[bleep]chman And some youtube videos: chman&search=Search]Have fun!

After Bob Dylan̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s bootleg series, there now is another very interesting series out. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s by Neil Young (He can finally open those beautiful archives!), and it documents a series of Young̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s (previously unreleased) live performances and also unreleased studio tracks, from the period of 1963 to 1972. In total there̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s going to be 8 CD̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s. You can buy them separately, or wait till the end of the year and get ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâm in a box with all 8 So far there have been two Cd̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s released. Volume 2 is Live at the Fillmore East March 6 & 7, 1970 (Review) which is with Crazy Horse, electric only. And the superb Live at Massey Hall January 19, 1971 (Review) which is an acoustic performance (Young, all alone on stage!), incredibly intimate! Personally, I couldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t wait for the full release at the end of the year (And I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know if I want them all), but I got Vol. 2 and 3 already. My favourite̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s definitely the one from Massey Hall, although the other one is great too. Especially if you like those ultra long and rough guitar solo̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s which they are famous for! The 16 minute version of Cowgirl in the Sand is brilliant! And all of this in perfect audio! It really sounds fantastic, and it's such a compliment to Young's clear voice. So, anybody else enthousiastic about this? So far I haven't seen anything about it here, but I can't imagine me being the only Neil Young fan on the forum. You can pick 'm up for not too much at CD-Pacific. Tracks from the Live at Massey Hall and Live at the Fillmore concerts can be heard at Neil Young's My Space, which is just http://www.my space.com/neilyoung (remove the space, d'oh)! You don't want to miss them!

I've got the feeling that I've said this at least a dozen times the past three months. But yea, it's still my appendix that was infected.
-
How can you miss Sonsie. I thought he was a real arse. Never really got to know him though. :) Never seen the series btw. Are they worth getting? Could somebody tell me some more about it? Perhaps a bit stupid asking it in a topic about red dwarf. :P

You never know what's gonna happen. ;) A skittle based recipe would be awesome! Captainkidd. Do you know what a marinade is?

NIN - Me, I'm not
-
Yea, he's very good. Although I'm not known with everything he has made. I've heard his debute a couple of times, but most of my attention goes out to Graceland, which is a fantastic record. I don't think he's the best songwriter ever by the way. But it's impossible really to determine who is.
-
If you were going to make a new one anyway. Can't this one just stay open? Seems pointless to lock this one just because it's old. and then open a new one.
-
As my other topic was locked, and I am sobered up! A new attempt for a recipe topic. So, put up all your good recipes here! And it doesn't matter what, it can be breakfast, lunch, dinner everything is fine! And, sorry, but one more thing. Because they just left before I got on the computer. It was thursday and they had to work the next day. And as I got a week of vacation, I didn't have to work and felt like going on the net before going to bed. But, it's cool that you drink Hennessy. Too bad you screw it up with the Vodka. Thug life! And a public apologies for Insane: Sorry, Insane. I'll add something later!

She's pretty sexy. But I don't pay too much attention to her. I don't dig celebs. -
Who do you think is the best drummer ever?

Man, nobody really cares. And it doesn't matter either. Why don't you just drop the arguement and get on. -

I thought it was Roger Waters that said "It's like saying give a man a Les Pau guitar and he becomes Eric Clapton". Stop bragging about your 'gear'. -
:-$ Damn, those girls are skinny. They could use some more booty.

It's relatively easy. Dutch is my first language, and a lot better than my English.

I absolutely hated Ocatovarium, including the last track. Sorry guys, I just don't like them very much.
