  1. Yesterday one of my movie dreams came true. Cassavetes on the big screen. Not one movie, not two, but three! We saw Gloria, A Woman Under the Influence and his last film Love Streams. I only saw AWUtI before, and it's one of my favorite movies, so that was a pleasure. Love Streams was the most powerful. But all three movies brought me to tears at random points because of their (tragic) beauty. It was a wonderful experience. Next weeks I hope to see Faces, The Killing of a Chinese Bookie and Opening Night in cinema.

  3. Haha, that is just fantastic. Kanye, what a hero. haha.
  4. Arcade Fire - No Cars Go That version from the EP.
  5. I saw Death Cab last year in Belgium. It was in a forest, and in the forest they had this open air hall where they played. The music was pretty good, but I didn't think of it as a lifechanging experience, I kind of expected a little bit more to be honest. This was the location.
  6. Mallcore, when I hear that term I always think of a bunch of 15 year olds pushing their musical tastes (the 'louder' genres) on housewomen and people that have passed the age of 50. Of course they play it live and they choose way too complicated songs that they can't play, but hey: it sounds interesting. There also a couple of incredibly ugly 'alternative' and heavily spotted teenage females in front of the band wearing Vans shoes and baggy pants. But maybe I have that view because of Avril Lavigne's Sk8er Boi!
  7. Interpol - Our Love to Admire The record. First song, Pioneers to the falls is playing. Rediscovering the record last weeks, it's so good, I don't know why the critics don't seem to like it so much. They are so much more talented than let's say Editors or something. PotF and especially My Chemistry are so incredibly good.
  8. Sale started at work today, so I played it for the biggest part of the day. It's pretty good if you ask me. Especially Unnatural Selection and MK Ultra are good.
  9. Arcade Fire - Neighborhood 3/Power Out woohooooooooooo \ It's Incredible, this Funeral record, it never bores, so much energy! I think I might call this the best pop album from this decenium.
  10. It happens often that when I drank a few, one of my eyes stops working.
  11. Burn After Reading For the second time, this time on DVD. It's more depressing than funny, which is a shame in my opinion. Still some good stuff of course. John Malkovich is pretty awesome here. 7.5/10
  12. Nice buy, I've got that one as well Yea, it had a 72% discount, seemed like a good moment to update my old version.
  13. Cher - Cher's Greatest Hits: 1965 - 1992 Don't Look Now 2-disc R2UK Peeping Tom S.E. R2UK Bande à part R2Uk (birthday present from friend) Burn After Reading R2NL
  14. Party picture from last night. I'm the guy on the foreground. When the party was still at home.
  15. Pretty adorable kid you've got there.
  16. Went to Amsterdam last night for the pre-premiere of the controversial new Lars von Trier movie Antichrist I can see why it's so controversial, but those things didn't do me much. All in all I find it quite hard to say something about the movie, since I missed some parts because I was very tired and also because I missed like 50% of the symbolism. What I saw and understood was good, though. But I have to see it again.
  17. Got myself a little birthday present today. three discs full of greatness. :
  18. Disc 1. Track 1. Lilin Woohoo! What a number.
  19. Whose he? David Niven. He was Bond in the 60s version of Casino Royale, with Peter Sellers amongst others.
  20. I think I like Lazenby's Bond the most. He's pretty hillarious. He also looks kind of uncortable in it, which makes it extra funny.
