  1. U. Srinivas & Michael Brook - Dream #1 Dance
  2. That's what I was thinking, now that the hair is gone you could use a little tan. :
  3. Nice song. Too bad I can't understand a thing he's singing. Do you understand that language? That's kind of thing that makes me stay away from Japanese music that has singing.
  4. What's up with all the anger. Killing people? Gee, boys. I'd try to do something nice. And cry a lot, I guess.
  5. I never did get into Animal Collective much. They're pretty highly-regarded in the music circle I belong to, but I can't seem to enjoy their music. Perhaps I'm listening to the wrong albums. I thought you finally 'got' them half a year ago when Merriweather Post Pavillion came out? Still deciding what to play. I think I'm going for dEUS with The Ideal Crash. You should check them out, Silversword, I think you could appreciate them. :)

    Shoegaze

Since when are Snow Patrol a shoegaze revival band? Do they stare at their shoes while playing their radiofriendly indie-pop? Or is this a joke that I'm not getting? :P I appreciate the genre, although it's not often that I'm in the mood for it. That's also the reason that I don't know many bands in the genre. It doesn't go much further than some My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and a little Grouper every once in a while.
  7. I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry and Punch Drunk Love are really good.
  8. Grauzone - Eisbär Man, this Neue Welle disc from my Vic van der Reijt compilation is giving me some pretty great obscure new bands. Loving this.
  9. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Long Time Man rediscovering the your funeral my trial album.
  10. The Beatles don't suck, they aren't even overrated. You can't give a band like the Beatles too much credit for what they have done. I'm not really a fan, though.
  11. I saw it tonight, it was better than I expected. I almost walked out, though. The second chapter was unbearable to watch. The violence was so useless that it offended me, especially the 'funny' way it was presented. I also hated the audience for laughing at it. Seeing a man get his brains bashed out in such a way just isn't something to laugh at or make fun of, even when he is a Nazi. It was good to see that the movie didn't continue this way and even ended with a critical note towards its audience. I was also happy that despite it's long running time and not too interesting dialogue the movie never got boring. But that's probably because it's chopped up in five chapters, that always makes it easier to watch for me. I still think Tarantino gets way too much credit for what he is doing, though. It's all been done before, and also in a better way. I don't understand the hype.
  12. Went to the city this afternoon and decided to treat myself on a couple of cd's. :)
  13. Was playing on my nightly walk, still playing. #3 Ghosts
  14. Fever Ray did a pretty amazing cover of Nick Cave's Stranger than Kindness, last weekend.
  15. Great list, lots of variation. :) Going to check out Quasi. :) Thumbs up for Neutral Milk Hotel on 1.
  16. too much effort for me. I'll just wait, plenty of other things to listen to/discover while waiting for the new things.
