I've already seen Borat a month ago, in Cinema. Nanananana. \ Tanin no Kao (The Face of Another) - After PITFALL and WOMAN OF THE DUNES this is the third collaboration between Japanese new wave director Teshigahara, writer Kobo Abe and composer Takemitsu. And out the three, this might just be my favorite. It's theme is very interesting. The unlimited possibilities and influence on society when you can change identity. Or more important, what determines your identity. And then how it is worked out. Cinematographie is flawless, and the art direction is out of this world. Add to that the psychedelic score by Takemitsu which adds up to the distanced and cold atsmosphere of the movie. The only part I didn't find that interesting was the sub-plot of the beautiful girl. A recommendation! 9/10 And I also saw All the President's Men which was a very good political thriller. Especially the scenes with informant DEEP THROAT were brilliant. The duo of Redford and Hoffman was very succesfull as well. Movie managed to suck you in and spit you out with a scary feeling of paranoia, without getting violent. Not only for those all-knowing about the watergate scandal and politics in general. Great to hear you enjoyed Otto e Mezzo, Devilsdragon. It's quite complex, but it's very instinctive as well, so everybody can enjoy it. :)
