  1. Man on Fire - Was a little bit less than it was in my memory. And that's mostly because of a few horrible moments and the cinematographie giving me headaches. Other than that it's quite alright. Just don't really like how Tony Scott went in another way with his MTV action movies. The Proposition - :worship: Damn, what a watch. :XD: Brilliant is one of the words that comes to mind. But I don't like that word so I won't use it. Just go see it! Mysterious Skin - Meh, it was alright, I guess. Didn't really care too much for it. While I really looked forward seeing it. Levitt is always a pleasure to see on the screeen though. Great actor.
  2. I've never seen it, Api. :P But it does look damn tasty. Nothing can beat my pie though. (H)

    Horror Movies!

    Go for August's Underground Mordum.
  4. Aple-crumb is delecious! But without a doubt my number one is "Rijstevlaai" something you could translate as "ricepie" I think..It looks like this: But this one has got cream and chocolate on it. I think our belgian friends are well known with the pie. :)
  5. Yay for live at Pompeii. Bought some more DVD's. The Proposition written by Nick Cave. Wo0t. :') Mysterious Skin (finally, Mad!) La Pianiste and MAN ON FIRE 2-disc S.E.
  6. I didn't really like Bruce Almighty, but this one might have a chance. Steve Carrell is a great comedy actor. He might just steal the show. ;)
  7. Ooh, a topic by the book! :P Love how you worked everything out. And I'll edit in some better reply tomorrow. Just wanted to say good work for now! :)
  8. I like it a lot, need to get into it more though. :) But I need to pay some more attention during Moonchild. :)
  9. We have two. One very old one that we don't use. And the one which is quite old as well that everybody uses. Why do so many people have so much computers. :o You've got too much money to spend or something?
  10. King Crimson - 21st Schizoid Man (including Mirrors)
  11. DVD: The Searchers 2-disc S.E. A Streetcar Named Desire 2-disc S.E. And in the court of the crimson king should come in today as well.
  12. I know, I can't enter the contest anyway, as I'm one of the judges. It was just something I put up to encourage the other people who might have some doubt to give in their entry. The name is Daan btw. It's Dutch for Dan, so you were pretty close. :P
  13. I've already seen Borat a month ago, in Cinema. Nanananana. \ Tanin no Kao (The Face of Another) - After PITFALL and WOMAN OF THE DUNES this is the third collaboration between Japanese new wave director Teshigahara, writer Kobo Abe and composer Takemitsu. And out the three, this might just be my favorite. It's theme is very interesting. The unlimited possibilities and influence on society when you can change identity. Or more important, what determines your identity. And then how it is worked out. Cinematographie is flawless, and the art direction is out of this world. Add to that the psychedelic score by Takemitsu which adds up to the distanced and cold atsmosphere of the movie. The only part I didn't find that interesting was the sub-plot of the beautiful girl. A recommendation! 9/10 And I also saw All the President's Men which was a very good political thriller. Especially the scenes with informant DEEP THROAT were brilliant. The duo of Redford and Hoffman was very succesfull as well. Movie managed to suck you in and spit you out with a scary feeling of paranoia, without getting violent. Not only for those all-knowing about the watergate scandal and politics in general. Great to hear you enjoyed Otto e Mezzo, Devilsdragon. It's quite complex, but it's very instinctive as well, so everybody can enjoy it. :)

    Horror Movies!

Try "August Underground's Mordum" or try the Guinea Pig series (movie series of course). You'll have a very gory night. You could always try Aftermath (1994) as well. [edit] They're not exactly G-rated.
  15. You didn't think that it was a little...weird? No..Not really. It's just a commercial, right? And it happens to have a possed baby in it. It reminds me of "2001: A Space Oddysey" and that's quite cool about it.
  16. I thought the commercial was quite cool. Not what you call disturbing. Not that it's going to make me buy a PS3 of course.
  17. Yea, I know. I think I can find a hole tomorrow.

    Tool?

No, Lateralus is the album before 10.000 days. It's released in 2001.

    Gender?

Rickette is the bearded lady. Each forum has one. I'm male, of course.
  20. I just read this and wanted to make a little comment on it. Do you really think the adult film industry is of so much influence? VHS only won with the adult industry because this was the first time you could watch this home, and alone. Otherwise you had to see it in cinema. Now that the internet has arrived and adults channels are in the air it is so much easier to get your hands on it. So I seriously doubt it's influence will be as big on this war as it was on the previous one. Yea, I guess. But don't shoot me. I only brought it up.
  21. So if you are 16 years old you could be traumatized by this movie, but when you're 18 you couldn't be. Age restrictions are worthless. Went to the cinema yesterdayevening to see Morir en San Hilario which absolutely sucked. It has got a pretty nice and sympathetic story. But nothing is really done with it. It's mainly uninteresting and boring, with a nice SHOT here and there.
