  1. Unfortunately I'm not in that good of a position, lol. Things never ended up working out with that last girl I was talking about (Stacey). She really was not acting interested or anything at all after we finally got through that week of her sicking out of everything I planned. Ended up hanging out with her in that group on that Saturday, going to a musical with them Sunday, and then she came to my house for one of my parties on Monday. She didn't seem interested in me at any of those things though, so I tried talking to her best friends (who I'm also close with) about it. One of them (the one who told me she was interested in the first place) said she wasn't allowed to say anything, and the other one said she wasn't interested in anybody anymore. So, in what I thought was a good idea then, I stopped pursuing that to avoid awkwardness, though in hindsight it seems like I've made the same mistake that's blocked me out of every other girl I've talked to in high school and just gave up too early. This weekend in question was about 2 weeks ago now (weekend of March 2nd-4th). She hasn't come to anything else I've planned since then either, though she's had reasons. We still talk basically every day though, but i feel like i probably missed this in tenth grade the first time I tried dating her. And now, figures, I've been getting over that already and starting to like another old crush again (Jean)...this one, for anyone who remembers. Nothing came of that at the time, but she's come to like every single thing I've planned since January, like we've basically been hanging out twice a weekend this past month, and it's always a blast, never alone though. We've been talking a lot more lately also, and while she's seemed a bit flirtier the last couple times, I realize the girl is notorious for leading people on like that (as happened to two close friends of mine). I was thinking about trying to pursue this some more, but I have a feeling I'm friendzoned pretty hard by this point. And... I don't really have any other ideas. It seems like I'm probably just going to try to go with someone as a friend at this point because I'm basically out of options in my circles of friends, and there aren't exactly many opportunities left to meet more people this late in senior year. If I ask someone as more than just a friend it'd probably end up having to be one of these two if I didn't miss those chances completely by now. Unless I'm just being stupid as per usual. I know that I have tendencies to overanalyze the crap out of everything and give up way too soon, so if it seems like I'm just being stupid, please tell me. Otherwise...bleh. Also this was written sporadically over an hour so if something doesn't make sense I can clarify.
  2. If my school's prom is like June 11, when should I ask a person to it?
  3. Yeah, but unlike most of you people I have Autism. I have Asperger's, and I still have a crapton of friends. Don't hide behind it as a crutch, just think about working past it. If you label yourself as being unable to talk to people because of your autism, then yeah, that's all you'll ever be. Confidence can work more wonders than you think. Like, when I was in junior high I would do that same thing, and I only talked to about four people because I thought that nobody else would have any interest in talking to me, and so I sort of made myself fit into the stereotype I thought I belonged in. When high school came though, I joined band and started meeting more people, and I realized, [bleep] it, I don't have to be awkward just because a psychiatrist says I am. Now it's my senior year and I'm top of my class and can throw together a thirty-person party in a couple days. Confidence really can help, you just have to find it.

    Today...

Ended up going to a skating rink with a bunch of friends yesterday. Suffice to say, they're more entertaining when you're 7 than when you're 17. It was still sort of fun but the place was a lot more ghetto than it was before. Probably wouldn't do that again, lol. Throwing a party tonight for the cast of the play my school just finished, should be pretty fun.
  5. I thought about that too when talking to a friend about this the other day, but I don't even know where she lives yet - remember, we haven't even hung out alone yet. If I just showed up at her house, that would seem creepy as all hell, lol.
  6. Well, I texted her today and asked her how she was doing, and she said she was still really sick and wouldn't be able to make it to our groups plans for the night. we talked for a little while, and she mentioned that she hadn't seen any of her friends all week and hadn't even left her couch since tuesday. I then offered to stop by for a while, and she sent back "aww thanks dom :) but no its cool, i dont rlly feel like talkin to anyone anyways. plus i'm prolly going to the doctors soon. but thanks anyway :)". So,, guess I was freaking out over nothing, but at least I offered and she seemed to like that enough at least, lol. Guess I'll just see her when school gets back in.
  7. You've never hung out with her alone before? I feel this is a good opportunity to impress her Nope, I've just hung out with her a lot at drama stuff. The concert friday and the thing at my house saturday were the first times I had even hung out with her outside of a school function. Does that change anything? I'm just afraid of her thinking its creepy because it's too fast or something, lol. I worry too much >.>.
  8. You know, I hadn't actually thought about it that way, lol. If she says she's still too sick tomorrow then I'll try doing that. Just... Id feel weird inviting myself over to her house, especially without having really hung out with just her before, lol. Nor...would I really know how to do that without being awkward for that matter, not something I'm used to doing, as weird as that might sound. But yeah I'll try that, especially cause at this rate it seems really unlikely that she'll actually be better for tomorrow. Thanks.
  9. Yeah, I ended up talking to her on FB for a while after I made this post and finally got a conversation to last for a bit, lol. But yeah, I generally try to do that, even with the invitations I invite her separately from the mass text so I can make it more personal, lol. I was going to wait until these next couple group things have passed (if she ends up being healthy enough to come to any of them >.>) before trying to do something alone though, just because those two days last weekend are the only times I've hung out with her outside of school so I was going to see how those went first. Seeing if the time is right I guess, didn't want to make it awkward lol. But thanks! Yeah she still has her sinus infection from sunday, plus she has food poisoning on top of that now. And like, she was still puking yesterday, I'd rather stay away from that for now, lol. Also I like i said previously I want to see how these next two outing things go before hanging out with her alone, and if she's too sick to want to do anything then I doubt she'd want me there xD.
  10. Alright well things were going pretty well with Stacey for those first two days after I posted. The concert ended up being a lot of fun, and the group we were with all hung out for a couple hours afterward. The next day we all came back to my place and hung out and watched a movie before going our separate ways. Everything went really well; it was a lot of fun and she was laughing at like everything I said and responded well to touching, etc. When we were all at my house, I had noticed she started getting sick though, and when I sent out a mass text about a get together at my house this Wednesday (when I asked her about it Friday night she said yes before I even finished my question, lol) she said that she was getting a lot worse and didn't know. I didn't talk to her at all Monday, and on Tuesday we only talked on Facebook for like 15 minutes, when she said she had to leave because her sister made her soup and was forcing her to eat it (side note: We have the week off school because of president's day, so it's not like that's part of the forthcoming issue either. Doesn't really fit here but I didn't know where to fit this fact in, lol). Well she ended up getting food poisoning from the soup. >_<. As such, she wasn't able to go to a movie with my group Tuesday (I threw it together to see Chronicle last minute, still ended up going and everything lol), nor was she able to go to the thing last night either. Just hoping she gets better before my group goes to a skating rink Friday and the cast party Saturday...meh. Now, I'm not posting here because she's been not going to things, I know she's really been sick. Just the problem is, I'm barely able to hold a conversation with her texting; any time I try the conversation dies after like five texts. It's not like she's one wording me, I can tell she's putting thought into the texts, but they're all just really short lived, though that may be because most of the time they've started off with an invitation to something and I'd try to keep something going after that, which hasn't worked, lol. She hasn't really started any either when not in person. The sole conversation we've had on Facebook hasn't been much longer either. I guess what I'm asking is, does it seem like I'm trying to talk to her/invite her to things too frequently, or should I be making an effort to try to talk to her more so as to get an actual conversation out of her?
  11. Glad to see people liking some of the stuff on here, lol. And a note about the dubstep, it's a lot different than the Skrillex-esque mainstream stuff, so I'd like to recommend that you check out that Swarms song even if you're not normally a fan of the genre, because its a lot different than what you'd probably picture from the genre tag. Like, Swarms for example is really influenced by post-rock. The only one of the electronic artists that really sounds like the more mainstream dubstep is Reso.
  12. Yeah definitely check out some of the other ones then because there's nothing else that sounds remotely like either of those bands on this list, lol. But thanks for at least reading it. And if you like any of them I can give you more recommendations based on them, lol. Oh, and I added genres if that makes a difference to anybody, though they were fairly obvious from the descriptions anyways.

I really liked the Mars Volta single, actually. Sounded a lot better than most of Octahedron, that's for sure. That Storm Corrosion album sounds really interesting, I'm surprised I hadn't heard of it before, even though Opeth's last album made me lose a bit of faith in Akerfeldt. I'll definitely keep an eye out for that now.

I thought the fun. album was bad the first time I listened to it also, but it grew on me a ton. I still much prefer Aim and Ignite though, and while the autotune is annoying I feel like the rest of it is still a solid pop album. It just can't be compared to Aim and Ignite. It did take me about three listens before I started liking it though. Oh and I forgot about that Cloud Nothings album but that was pretty great too. And Range, I thought Wrath sucked but I thought Sacrament and Resolution were excellent, to each their own though.
  15. Yeah I know I didn't post about it in the thread or anything, but I made this for another website and figured I'd share it here too. These are just my top albums of 2011; my top albums of all time list would look incredibly different. 25 Rustie Glass Swords Genre: Electronic One of the most epic electronic-instrumental-hip-hop releases of the year for lack of better description. "City Star" slams all of the faces. Sample: 24 Dance Gavin Dance Downtown Battle Mountain II Genre: Post-Hardcore While not as powerful as some of their previous material, Downtown Battle Mountain II is still some of the catchiest, most fun post-hardcore released this year. Also, Johnny Craig and Jon Mess are both beastly vocalists. Sample: 23 The Horrors Skying Genre: Shoegaze The first Shoegaze album that's ever actually held my attention. Skying is a swirling amalgamation of the 80's, which results in a huge atmosphere backing still-catchy music. Definitely an essential release. Sample: 22 Emery We Do What We Want Genre: Post-Hardcore While there are a couple of weak tracks on here (namely the two ballads at the end), the highlights on this album are among the best post-hardcore released this year. Seriously, "The Curse of Perfect Days" is the best scenecore song this year. Sample: The Curse of Perfect Days 21 Touche Amore Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me Genre: Hardcore With their second full length, Touche Amore learns much more about building atmospheres within the span of their minute-long songs. While certainly not the heaviest Hardcore release of the year, the powerful vocals and energetic music more than make up for it. Sample: ~ 20 Stray From the Path Rising Sun Genre: Metalcore With Rising Sun, Stray From the Path craft their own sound filled with odd-time signature riffing and brutal breakdowns that results in the heaviest metalcore album of the year. Sample: 19 The Dear Hunter The Color Spectrum (Complete Collection) Genre: Alternative Rock, but with lots of influences from other genres Easily the most diverse album released in 2011. While an incredibly long listen, the nine EPs that make up the collection show off a band that has mastered all facets of alternative rock. Sample: 18 Reso Valken Genre: Dubstep Brostep EP of the year - Reso produces four tracks each with their unique identity that stand leagues above his brostep contemporaries. "War Machine" is the best example of this, as it remains heavy as hell while staying rhythmically complex and technically excellent rather than falling into a sea over overproduced wobble bass. Sample: 17 Thursday No Devolucion Genre: Post-Hardcore While I had never been much of a Thursday fan, No Devolucion is an excellent release that is hard to pidgeonhole into a specific genre. While Thursday keeps their core post-hardcore sound, they experiment a lot more with elements such as odd time signatures and post-rock influences, which in addition to much-improved vocals from Geoff Rickly produced for a very unique album that outshines the rest of their discography. Sample: 16 Citycop. Seasons Genre: Acoustic Screamo One of the most unique albums I've heard this year. Citycop crafts some beautiful, yet hard-hitting screamo without a hint of distortion. "Winter" in particular shows how well this unusual combination can work, and I'm excited to see where the band progresses from here. Sample: 15 The War on Drugs Slave Ambient Genre: Americana/Indie Rock Extremely solid Americana Indie Rock that rivals the Gaslight Anthem as the best band on the scene at this point. Bruce Springsteen + Indie Rock + Shoegaze = this album. Sample: Best Night 14 Tyler, the Creator Goblin Genre: Hip-Hop With Goblin, Tyler shows another side of himself. All of the elements that made him popular - The excessive vulgarity, the Humor, and the glimpses into Tyler's troubled psyche - are all still here in full force. Despite the overly long runtime, Goblin greatly excels at all of these and shows why Tyler and Odd Future were worth listening to in the first place. Sample: 13 Sepalcure Sepalcure Genre: Dubstep Extremely solid dubstep with a ton of effective vocal sampling and a very mellow atmosphere. An excellent release, especially for a debut. Sample: The One 12 The Jezabels Prisoner Genre: Indie Very well-crafted Indie pop with a strong sense of atmosphere and excellent vocals. Prisoner is a rather unique album, and is especially interesting in how well the band functions without a bass player. Sample: 11 Zomby Dedication Genre: Dubstep Dedication contains some of the most accessible, yet deepest dubstep I've heard this year. Indeed, its the album that finally turned me onto the genre as being worth more than what Skrillex and friends would imply. Zomby is able to craft a series of tracks with powerful control of mood while barely ever breaking the two-minute mark. While some songs could have benefited from some additional runtime, Dedication is still by all means a superb album that I would recommend to anybody with a even fleeting interest in the genre. Sample: Black Orchid 10 Foo Fighters Wasting Light Genre: Alternative Rock With Wasting Light, Dave Grohl and company return from a several-album slump to release the greatest mainstream rock album of the last several years. All of the songs here are accessible, but still have a raw edge and are simply written better than any of the band's contemporaries. From the huge chorus of "Burning Bridges" to the unexpected heaviness of "White Limo" to the epic finale of "Walk", the Foo Fighters prove that they can still rock just as hard as they did on the Colour and the Shape. Sample: Bridges Burning 9 Eisley The Valley Genre: Indie Pop One of the most charming Indie Pop albums of the year. While the album's themes deal with all sorts of hardships, Eisley is still able to craft an incredibly uplifting and incredibly catchy Indie Pop release. Oh, and anyone who dislikes "Ambulance" has no soul. Sample: 8 La Dispute Wildlife Genre: Hardcore While La Dispute had previously established themselves to be a solid act, their previous full-length rambled on for way longer than it had a right to, leaving its highlights drowned in surrounding filler. With Wildlife, however, they took threw these problems away and improved drastically. All of the tracks on Wildlife are incredibly solid, making for the best Hardcore release of the year. The vocals and lyrics are particularly powerful, with Jordan Dreyer's mix between spoken word sections and powerful screaming being one of the best vocal performances of the year. Oh, and "King Park" is just divine. Sample: King Park 7 The Hotel Year It Never Goes Out Genre: Pop-Punk I'm always a sucker for good pop-Punk, and The Hotel Year is certainly able to deliver on that regard. While they certainly have a large amount of influence from bands such as the Wonder Years, they are still able to create their own distinct sound through their two-vocalist approach, frequent riff changes, and powerful lyrics - "An Ode to the Nite Ratz Club" Has some of the hardest-hitting lyrics in pop-punk on this side of the Wonder Years. And the best part? It's free here: http://thehotelyear.bandcamp.com/album/it-never-goes-out Sample: An Ode to the Nite Ratz Club 6 Fair to Midland Arrows & Anchors Genre: Alternative Metal With Arrows & Anchors, Fair to Midland released an extremely solid alternative rock release. I haven't heard anything else by this band, but they diversity they display on here is astounding. From the catchiness of "Uh-Oh" to the beautiful atmosphere of "Golden Parachutes" to the roaring insanity of "Rikki Tikki Tavi", Fair to Midland produce an incredibly diverse album that is able to maintain an extremely consistent level of quality. Sample: 5 Swarms Old Raves End Genre: Dubstep I've never really paid attention to dubstep until this year, and as such when this album first came out I was less than impressed - It didn't seem to womp hard enough for what I expected dubstep to be. However, as I listened to more of the softer(/better) side of the genre, I decided to revisit this and found some of the most beautiful music I've heard this year. The atmospheres that Swarms is able to create are just astounding, and are really perfect for relaxing or studying. The album was able to cement my respect for dubstep as an art form. Sample: Flickr of Ur Eyes 4 Frank Turner England Keep My Bones Genre: Singer-Songwriter I'm not normally much of a sucker for singer-songwriters - most of them are either musically boring, lyrically generic, or have some other sort of problem with themselves. Frank Turner, however, is the one exception to this I've found. With songs such as "Redemption" and "I Am Disappeared", Frank is able to create some of the most human songs I've heard, with powerful vocals and honest lyrics about every facet of life. Sample: I Am Disappeared 3 Manchester Orchestra Simple Math Genre: Indie Rock Simple Math is easily the most colossal Indie Rock album released this year. By integrating full orchestras into their songs, Manchester Orchestra is able to create an incredible soundscapes to back some of the most honest lyrics put to pen. It is at its core a relatable lamentation on the toll of aging, but it is so well executed that it transcends this and becomes more of a soundtrack to life itself. Sample: 2 The Wonder Years Suburbia: I've Given You All and Now I'm Nothing Genre: Pop-Punk This album is the perfect summer album to me. While it's nothing terribly groundbreaking, it doesn't need to be - Suburbia is simply a 40 minute slab of the catchiest music this year. It also is much deeper than the typical saccharine pop-punk affair, dealing with the issues of how much your world can change while you're away. Oh, and "Don't Let Me Cave In" is probably the best song released this year. Sample: 1 Trophy Scars Never Born, Never Dead Genre: Post-Hardcore/Blues This album hit me way more powerfully than anything else I've heard since, well, Trophy Scars' last album. While the band's use of piano and other unusual instrumentation choices allows for a fantastic atmosphere, the real star of the show is the vocal performance. The vocals on this record floored me, as even though they may seem grating at first glance, they grew to be one of the most emotional performances of the year, and the lyrics only add icing to the cake. Even the samples on this album, which are normally something I find incredibly annoying, are used to perfect effect here. With Never Born, Never Dead, Trophy Scars created a unique, flawless tribute to the pains of heartbreak. Sample:

    2012 Music

Here's a place to discuss music released this year. I think 2012 has already started off as an awesome year for music. has released an awesome hardcore EP in January, and 's Resolution was a great return from the disappointment that was Wrath. Also, Indie Pop is already thriving with and fun.'s fantastic new Queen-inspired albums and 's more eclectic brand of pop that's probably the best thing he's released since Hissing fauna. Electronic music is thriving even more than these, somehow. Burial's Kindred EP is just incredible dubstep, best stuff he's done since Untrue. 's fin. is an equally impressive House release. The only album that has really been a disappointment to me so far has been Say Anything's Anarchy, My Dear. He tries to hard to write in the frame of mind he had 3 albums ago, and frankly, it comes out terribly. Bemis has to realize that he isn't the same mentally unstable man he was when he wrote Is a Real Boy, and that while that album is one of the best Pop-Punk albums ever written, he'll never be able to create a quality album of that sort again. Ah well. I put links to recommended songs by each of these artists when I mention them if you're interested in listening; didn't want to clog of the opening post with embedded youtube videos. The electronic releases excite me most, as last year was an incredible year for the genre and, going by the quality of these releases, I'm really excited to see where the genre is pushed this year. What albums are you excited about? What have you liked that's been released so far? What albums have disappointed you? Anything relevant to music released this year is up for discussion.
  17. Sorry if there was any confusion, but Stacey isn't being the drama queen, her friend Sam is. And while I know that Stacey and Sam are close friends, I don't know how much she actually takes her advice - she certainly ignored it last time, as she had been telling Stacey to break up with her last ex- for two months before he finally broke it off. So I don't know. And yeah, I have seen it coming. Sam manages to find all sorts of drama to talk about all the time when she only really talks to like six people, but I've just always figured that because I didn't interact with any of them or her boyfriend that I'd be able to keep out of that aspect. But I guess now that I've become interested in one of her friends, I should have seen it coming. Ah well. Or if you did understand all of that out of it, why are you saying Stacey is trouble when she hasn't really done anything wrong and it's been Sam causing the issues..that I see anyways? I'm not close minded, I just want to know what makes you think that, lol.
  18. Ugh. The friend I was talking about is now turning out to be even more of a drama queen, and apparently she told Stacey and one of my other friends (who I found this out from) that I was interested in her. Ah well, should have expected as much seeing how easily she said the same about me. Guess this is the last time I'm trusting her with something of this nature, lol. But I'll still keep trying. Hanging out with her and some other people tonight at a concert, should be pretty fun. Is it likely that this turn of events is really going to change anything though? I was planning on ignoring all this drama that sprung up and carrying on as I was going to, or is this some way I should use this to my advantage or something?
  19. Massive wall of text forthcoming. Alright, so new girl...ish. Ish because, well, the history's a bit more complicated. Well basically the girl (Stacey) is somebody I've nearly dated in the past, but that was over two years ago. it didn't end up happening back then because...well, a bunch of awkwardness on my part, being a sophomore and all. However, I found out about a year afterward that she had actually been interested in me throughout that whole ordeal. Just, both of us were awkward back then; it was bound to not work. We almost started again the summer after that, but then once we hung out that time we realized that still wasn't quite going to work - we just didn't have enough to talk about at that point. Well, like I said, that was two years ago; it's my senior year now. I didn't really talk to her all that much Junior year, but this year she's been in my drama class and all of the plays/competitions we've done since then. Around November I started talking to her again, and I started to kind of like her again; however I ignored it because she had a boyfriend at the time, so I started looking to other girls. Later on, in about December, I found out she was never actually interested in the guy she was dating - she was caught off guard and was too afraid to hurt his feelings to say no/break up with him. Which, I'll admit, seemed really strange, but whatever. In mid-January her boyfriend finally broke up with her, around the same time I was posting about the last girl here. After my attempt with her fizzled out though, I started realizing that Stacey was available again...and of course I started liking her. We had started another play up by this time with rehearsals every day, and we started talking a lot more again at those. I never really texted her or anything, but I didn't really feel like I needed to with how much I see her anyways (3 hour rehearsals and drama class which is just a blowoff where us drama people can just hang out essentially, so I'd talk to her there too). At first I tried to ignore it again, figuring I had missed my shot back in tenth grade, but then I realized she'd been acting a bit...different, I can't really describe it as it was slight. But there was just something in the way she'd talk to me when it was just us that I noticed (sorry about how horribly vague that is). Well, this past weekend we were at a competition for drama, and for the first night we were there we were all just hanging out in the hotel, as the competition didn't start until the next day. Because both of us were singing leads, we weren't allowed to approach the pool, so she invited me up to her room to hang out with her and a couple other people. We all had a lot of fun that night, and when we eventually had to go back to our own rooms, I talked to one of my closer friends about the situation (the friend, Sam, is one of her best friends also), and basically told her that I liked Stacey again. Well come today that friend, Sam, was talking to me in English, and told me she had talked to Stacey earlier that day and Stacey had told her that she liked me. When Sam asked how much, she said like "a five or six out of ten". apparently After that though, Sam tried talking her out of it, even though she knew I was into her, saying that she wasn't mature enough for a relationship yet going by how she handled her two previous ones (both cases where she dated guys she didn't really like because she was afraid to hurt them, and both of which ended because of that). Sam then told me all of this, and said she was sorry but she cared about me too much to let Stacey hurt me like she was bound to after her last two. I basically told Sam after that that I appreciated her concern, but it wasn't really her place to say that and that I was going to try anyways, and if it didn't work out then I'd learn the hard way and she could say she told me so. She then started apologizing for caring too much and getting into other people's business, and I tried calming her down and said it was fine and that i would have done the same thing in her situation, but I was still going to try and date her, regardless of that. Which brings me to...this. Going to start talking to her more now, and she's hanging out with me and some of our mutual friends Friday for a friend's band's concert and the next Saturday for a cast party I'm throwing. So I think I'm doing pretty well, but I guess my question is, am I right in doing this? Should I be taking more advice from Sam or am I justified in wanting to try it regardless? I think that if I were to date Stacey it would go better than those last two attempts because she actually likes me, unlike those two. However, that could just be my naivete and attraction to her speaking. So... what should I do?
  20. Well if you keep an attitude like that you're not going to find one either, lol. Have some confidence, man.
  21. After my last post, things kept going pretty well until like Tuesday...and then it sort of stopped. didnt really talk or see her much the next three days, and I tried texting her but the conversation was kind of boring. Then last night she came to another one of my get-togethers. While we were talking there with a couple other people in drama, she mentioned that she was glad there weren't any couples in the cast because of all the drama that would cause, and later said (when prompted by another drama girl) that she wasn't really interested in anyone and guys are stupid. ...Sup friendzone? >.>
  22. Glad to see myself being so appreciated. xD

  23. First, I'll apologize in advance for how disjointed this story is going to be. Well, I've been trying for the last couple months to find a girl without coming here every five minutes in an attempt to stop overanalyzing the shit out of everything. it hasn't exactly been working. I've started dressing a lot better and became a good deal more outgoing and confident in that time, but I seemed to have a tendency to find girls that I thought were single that were actually just a week away from going official with their boyfriends >.>. Well around December I started talking to another girl, Jean. I had known her throughout this school year as she's in the drama class and was in the musical with me earlier, but I never really talked to her that much. Around mid December we started talking a bit more as rehearsals started for a second musical, and I invited her to my New Years' party. The party turned out pretty great - over 50 people ended up showing up (including her, lol). I spent about an hour of it talking to her and the other drama people she was talking to there throughout the night, but I was trying to space it out talking to everybody there. Around that same time, I started talking to her on facebook every couple of days or so. Our conversations always turned out pretty hilariously, and I got her number after a high point of one of them. I've continued iming or texting her every two or three days since then (started a day or so before New Years). On Thursday I talked to her about the New Years party for a bit after a drama rehearsal ended, and she said she had a lot of fun there. I then invited her to what my group call brouhahas - long story behind the name, but basically I have a mini-party at my house every week. She said that it sounded like fun and that she would come. Come Saturday she held true to her word and, well, showed up. However, basically none of the people she had known from my New Year's party showed up and I was the only one there she knew to talk to. Seems like it's going pretty well, right? Well here's the part that made me decide to post here now. Well, at the brouhaha she seemed...distracted. Like, it's not like it was a massively intimidating group there - only about 10 people showed up and she knew a couple of them other than me, but she was being uncharacteristically shy and was texting someone the whole time about "girl stuff". Not that she wouldn't talk - I just always had to start conversations. I ended up talking to her most of the time that she was there, as aside from obvious reasons I was the only one there she'd really talk to. I couldn't really tell what to make of it - whenever we talked it was interesting, but she'd keep burying herself in her phone at the slightest break in conversation. Then, we had another rehearsal today. The thing is, though, we didn't talk. It was really weird, there weren't all that many breaks in the rehearsal and its not like it was awkward, we just only said about five words to each other. So...what should I make of this, and how should I progress from here? o.O If you need elaboration on anything feel free to ask of course, lol.
