One day back in the game, and I've lost my (75M) bank staking and I'm still the happiest I've been with RS in years. :thumbup:

Looks like just about everyone is coming back for free trade, at least temporarily.

YESSS, I might actually come back to RS now. Too bad it's finals week, or I'd power train 99 attack so I can dds stake, but I might start mage staking soon.

I quit recently, as the only thing I was finding fun was Pking really, which really isn't very good as it is now. I still haven't cancleled my membership though.. Was planning on it when the old Wild poll came out. I might start up again if they bring it back, but dunno. Otherwise, RS really isn't fun for me, especially becuase many of my friends have quit.

Yeah, I really hope they don't make extremes unusable in the wilderness - I get it's not "fair" for those without 92 herb, but seriously, you can deal with it. I was disappointed in Jagex when they banned them from PvP in the first place, and I didn't even have 70 herblore at that point. It really ought to be allowed if they change back to the old wild system.

It isn't though, as there is a beta of a dungeoneering bot that's been released on a fairly reputable botting site. Don't know how good it is, as I don't bot, nor do I know anyone who owns it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it could do solo dungeons fairly effectively.

Rapier isn't that much better than a whip, or at least not as much as you'd expect. Don't get me wrong, it's still better, but fairly marginally when it comes to staking. It won't be a requirement, just a nice benefit to those who have it. The only chaotic's I'm truly afraid of for staking are the crossbow and the staff, honestly.

Seriously, I am still surprised by the people claiming botting is no longer a problem - it's as big as it was in '07, just a lot more subtle. There aren't a ton of low level yew bots anymore, granted, but there are plenty of mid-to high level bots running around everywhere. There are decent bots for every skill, even some new dungeoneering bots. It's as much a problem as it ever was, so don't pretend that they aren't around now becuase the magic of trade limits and PvP restrictions are here.

Thanks for the jad info, but for attack, I said fastest, not most efficient - I truly have no use for slayer past the level I'm at, and I have no plans to max out my account one day, so something other than slayer would be nice. I've been doing AZ's lately, but I swore there was some other method I had forgot about, bar dharoking the zombie monkeys in ape atoll's dungeon.

Pretty self explanatory questions, though I'll fill in some details: Stats: 95 attack, 99 strength, 92 defense, 95 prayer, 92 herb, 99 hp, 99 range, 99 mage. 1 - I'm pretty poor right now, so don't tell me to do the fight caves with dragon bolts (e) the entire time, keep it fairly cost effective. I wouldn't mind 1M a run or so, but anything insanely high is out of my reach. Same goes for attack training, so I cannot do in the ape atoll dungeon with dharoks and turmoil, takes up too much time. 2 - AFKable for attack training is a plus. 3 - Forgot to include I don't have any chaotic, but I do have every void set + the void shield thing. Please include which prayer book is best to use too, as I'm not really sure if anything has changed with the new prayer book. If you need any more info, just ask, I'm sure there's plenty of factors I missed. Thanks!

people rarely allowed staffs on for mage staking... it was usually no equipment, or only boots or gloves on. I'm sure there'll be a "no dungeoneering rewards" checkbox for duels eventually Huh, I remembered doing 1 handed weapons only mage staking a while ago, but it was on a pure and for 1M or less increments, so that's probably why.

Can't wait for staking. Means I'll have to get a chaotic staff in order to mage stake again though, which'll kinda suck. Oh well, at least rapier/cls don't horribly outclass the whip in terms of staking so normal dds-whip staking should still be a pretty valid choice for me when they re-implement it.

I realize you said this a while ago, but I thought I'd respond anyways. Answers in bold. Also, I want to throw this out there in regards to training in the wild and stuff - I was playing on a pretty advanced private server this summer with a thousand or so active players at all times, with wilderness activities and an old wild style pk system - people really tend to ignore those training when they go pking. Of course on occasion you'll get the douchebag who tries to spec you out as you're running to the chaos tunnels, or as you're killing green dragons, but that's pretty rare. And that's on a server where 99% of the people playing are playing to PK on a single world, nevermind when you have hundreds of worlds open to you where not everyone is looking to pk. ninja edit: I have to agree, and this has real life benefits too. I rarely trust online resources without double and triple checking the credentials, and I know what a scam looks like when I see one now. Being scammed in RS is actually pretty beneficial for the real world.

Title pretty much says it all - quit during the summer after DG was released pretty much. I really have no clue what's happened except for the new dungeoneering floors and that's about it. If anyone wants to fill me in on any other big things that happened (if any), that'd be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, a lot of people against this seem to think it'll be the end of the world, and there'll be 10 RWT and botters per actual player, but we already have huge issues with both of those. This update might cause an initial jump, but in the long run, botting and RWTing will probably be the same it is now. What I'm really hoping for is an end to inflationscape, and hoping the economy stabilizes and prices fall again, instead of ending up with the ridiculous prices we have now. I'm really, really hopeful for this, but I have a feeling it won't pan out somewhere along the line, and I'll end up severely disappointed.

I have been quit for a good 6 months now, but when someone mentioned this to me on skype, I pretty much orgasmed. I will return to scape for sure if this is done... I really have a feeling Jagex will be like "well der iz 1,000,000 votes yes but we have 20 million players so not a majority lols." I'll have to wait and see... But this will solve so many problems, and all the reasons it was taken away are still here, no real reason not to do it.

Copypasta from starting page. QUITTING NOTICE: As most of you have probably noticed by now, I'm never on RS anymore. I have quit. I pretty much quit in the summer, spending almost all my RS time on private servers, and when I did start getting back into real RS, dungeoneering was released. That was the final straw for me - I truly hate the skill, and I realized I just wasn't having any fun anymore. So I quit. I still haven't got around to canceling my membership, just in case I decide to come back at some point, but I doubt it. I have started playing League of Legends (LoL) and some Steam games lately (add me! Spalns (l = L) is my steam ID... I think?) and quite honestly, they are a lot more fun. If I did decide to come back, however, I would probably go and play a private server, for a few reasons. 1) Jagex has really messed up their game, at least in my opinion. 2) Customer service sucks. Seriously, look at almost any other game, even completely free games, and they have great CS, especially compared to RS> Jagex really is a pretty crappy company, now that I finally have something to compare it to. Now I no longer remember where I was going with this, but oh well.. See you guys around in IRC or some other games sometime, maybe. Was a fun 6 years, thanks for all the memories.

Funny how many people don't realize all the problems they think free trade will bring are already here. There really isn't much reason not to bring it back - it'd solve a lot of economic issues, and bring a good amount of old players back into the game. Too bad it'll never happen, would be nice.

Longest game I have ever personally played, 6 baron kills that game. Funnily enough though, the 5 of us (I'm LOLCANADA btw) did a random match make before this game, and lost in ~40 mins to the three level 30s, the 23 and a random, and the game after that, we played them again. They had been trolling us pretty hard, and we trolled back, so we knew we'd need to win this game. We pretty much were guaranteed to win at like 40 minutes or so, and that's when they started to shut up, but it would take another hour to actually win. >.<

So many deaths... :shock: I recently took up LoL (like a few weeks ago maybe?) and it's the first game of this type I've ever played before, but it's a really fun game. I've pretty much quit RS becuase of this now. I mostly play Ashe, as she was the first champ I played becuase she was my free week champion that was recommended to me, and I'd like to think I've got pretty good at playing her. Actually just got a solo ace last game, much better than when I started and went 1/15/3 :grin:
