  1. You told it yourself, there was another way to say it. Yes, I did say that the one line could've been said a better way or not said at all, the rest of the post was good though. Wow, alright man. Keep saying that people are being bad at everything they touch when they do an art which doesn't get into your "standards" or something then. Say it with me now! S. A. R. C. A. S. M. What's that spell? Sarcasm! --- Yeah well nothing can be done about it here, mods here let go everything. May that be stereotyping all younger people, even GreatSylverWyrm does it: What can you expect? I apologize. Would you prefer the term "maturity-challenged" ? I guarantee though that at least 95% of the people posting their "first pixel attempt" posts are under the age of 18.
  2. You know, parallels usually indicate things that are, or are nearly equal. This isn't even close. Keiphus didn't disrespect anyone, just their "art". I'm sure that most of the people who post the "rate my first pixel attempt" posts are perfectly nice people, they just aren't very good at art (yet?).
  3. Nicely said Keiphus...except for the part about people being bad in art being bad in everything else. That's stereotyping, which is bad. :P Hmmm, you know what really annoys me? When people compare little insignificant things to Hitler. Hitler masacred 6 million people. Do you see even one person dying here? No? Neither do I. Keiphus isn't full of himself, he just wants people to think before they post. He also doesn't like it when artists are given a bad name because of a bunch of kids coming along and thinking they can be the next Da Vinci.
  4. Make sure you have it set at the right size, most pixel fonts use 8, but it could use 10 or 12 or 6, just play around with the size until it looks right.
  5. That's something I can't answer, remember?
  6. Heh, yeah, it is a bit confusing sometimes.. Anyone else have any questions?
  7. Shippou, aside from the candle, none of that is really all that great...
  8. Your mind comes with a free pixel sig maker. It's called your brain. You should try it out sometime.
  9. Use the magic wand tool, punky. For specifics the Photoshop help file is really handy. :)
  10. FireFreak: Many places.. Chatmasta: It's called boolean modeling, all you need to know is the basics, really. Make 2 spheres, intersect them slightly, then go to attributes on one of them, set it to positive. Set the other one to negative in the same way, then group them.
  11. You can, in PS7, "warp" text. When the text is selected, you should see a little button that looks like a "T" with an arch under it. Click it, it should be fairly self-explanatory from there.
  12. Alright, I've looked over this, and I don't actually see anything that needs to be removed...however.... Leylen, you are entitled to your opinion, however, I'd really prefer that you expressed it in a way that wasn't directly insulting people, or swearing. If you continue to make posts like you have been making further action will be taken.
  13. It was temporarily removed so it could be cleaned. Think of it like a leak in a boat; it's easier to fix the leak while the boat is out of water.
  14. It appears to me that you've not done the glow on the lightning and the cord the guy is holding by hand..
  15. At the moment it looks extremely unprofessional. You can tell easily where all of the bevel & emboss and drop shadow layer styles have been used. The abstract background thing may look cool, but it doesn't work well for a website. The text also doesn't work well for a website.
  16. If you use anything on the computer from Illustrator, it's raster. In the program it's vector though. Keiphus: Ask your parents.
  17. Well, Ryan, it is vector in a sense that you can scale it up as big as you want without losing any quality...but no, since Photoshop is a raster program, it's not technically vector. However even programs like Illustrator usually have a raster output, so it doesn't matter anyway.
  18. As far as I know, the first version of Photoshop at least to have nested layers is CS. Think of marbles..it's easier to deal with the marbles when they're in a bag, right?
  19. Tttia, I assume you're talking about layer sets and nested layer sets, available in Photoshop CS. It's basically to help you organize your work and move things. You really kind of have to try them to get how useful they are.
  20. operationfl: Are you asking how to get the render into Photoshop? If so, go to File> Render to Disk. The rest should be pretty self-explanatory. Demoris, ColAvanor: Yes, text-on-path is a feature availably exclusively in Photoshop CS. (Actually other programs have it, but not other versions of Photoshop). Twisted_Master: If you're using imageready, all you have to do between frames is move the layer you want, you don't have to create an entire new image for each frame. Fergz13: Those are things that are up to you. ic3dragon: Please don't go off-topic. Vladmoney: Do you know about the preview animation button? It shows you a small (the size of the preview in the upper-left) version of the animation. MeXe: Just search google.
  21. Leowen, in Bryce, you link a shape to a motion path via the linking tab in the attributes of the object, and animate as normal, if you have no idea what I'm talking about, pm me. As for adding realism, that's up to you. :) ;) Deximus, what you're doing is pixel-drawing, vector refers to drawing with paths, or vectors, which are basically mathematically-defined lines. You use them in Illustrator, and somewhat in PS. I can give you more specific help via pm.
  22. Well Link, the easiest way to do that would be to do a solid-color background in Bryce as similar as possible to the overall colors of the sig you want, then, when you have all the frames exported, just remove the solid color background in every frame. I'm helping MPM via PM.
  23. I've been more than a bit bored lately, so.. Post here if you have any questions having to do with either Photoshop, or Bryce. I also may be able to help you with some PSP questions. (I can only answer questions 100% for those using Bryce 5, PSP9, or PS 5 and above.) Please don't ask any questions regarding "art". For example don't ask: What color should I use? How do I make a sig? How do I make an abstract? , that's your job. I'm just trying to help you use the program to it's fullest so that you can acheive your artistic vision. However, you could ask me questions on techniques, like creating chrome text, or a partially-transparent grid or whatever..
  24. If you have a problem or question with a decision a staff member has made, pm a mod or admin and they will look into it. Do not make a post about it.
