Master Slayer Guide by Axe Man Jack (AOW) Updated 9/06
Craven_Image replied to bigmoneyak's topic in General Guides
Very nice guide, has helped me alot, even inspired me to start slaying again. Unfortunately, my first task was 140+ desert lizards from Shilo and I couldn't Burthorpe them for some reason so that's it for slayer for a while -
Whats the best thing you got from barrows?
Craven_Image replied to dude24052405's topic in General Discussion
I haven't been to barrows since it became a well known money-maker and thus the price drop but when I did go there I got a Guthan Helm and Karils top in one chest. I also got a Guthan helm from just killing Guthan and noone else. -
It depends on how easy it is for you to get it back. For some people all it consists of is 2 hours work as they get it everytime.
-
Doubt it will be today because they've been 1 day behind since a bank holiday a while ago. They may get it in 1 day earlier though... It does sound very similar to the quest but I doubt it will be the same as the quest.

is jagex trying to put tip.it out of business?
Craven_Image replied to das1330's topic in General Discussion
Not all users of RuneScape know of tipit, therefore, having a knowledge base makes it easier for their customer support crew who must get inundated with lots of questions from inexperienced players. -
The reason why key areas are introduced into the wilderness IE; the agility course and the abyss entrance are so that it adds more of a challenge. If agility trainers were supposed to be immune to attacks from players they simply wouldn't of put it in the wilderness. I suppose it's the disadvantage you have of training at the agility course as it gives the most experience. Like-wise, the disadvantage of having access to all altars and having the ability to teleport to them within 3 mins walking distance of a bank is that the entrance to this area (the abyss) is located in the wilderness. I do find it annoying however when I get killed at the wilderness agility course, which is why I train agility at the monkey agility course; you never fail and you never get PKed.

The gloves are fairly easy to get I did the quest on the day it came out without a guide so it's not like it takes a long time to get them. Then again getting dragonhide vambraces is even easier.

Hey, I'll add that to the quest guide :o Already done :)

Just south of the Burgh De Rott's bank there's some water, in the water is lots and lots of sharks. There's about 6 - 10 different shark spots on just one pier. They're everewhere along the shore and it's quite close to the bank. It's not really better than the fishing guild but you certainly won't run out of shark fishing spots whilst your here. Noones here either :) Also, this is very useful for people who are doing the quest and recieved mackeral as their item needed for the stock as they can just fish using a big net here.

I think it was necessary. I've heard that people lure people into the wild to trade then whilst they're on the trade window get someone who can attack the trader, tb them and then kill them as they have no PKing gear. Downsides to it I suppose - no sharing kills until outside of the wilderness.

I wasn't moved at all. I'm not sure why space and the cosmos was involved in it, there was no link to why it was there. You could tell which of the sentences were made by the writer as it lacked proper English grammar and punctuation, this, along with the general links with terrorism and space (how did that happen) tell me that this was created by a 13 - 15 year old American who must of seen a news broadcast which involved terrorism whilst listening to that Moby song which bought a bit of emotion into his/her mind.

Humans have sunk to an all-time low (WTH warning)
Craven_Image replied to Schwarzenegger's topic in Off-Topic
Well out of the 6 billion people on earth there's bound to be a few people who are derranged due to simple probability - the more people there are the more chance of there being an even more obsurd idea coming from one of them. This one is particularly stupid and is probably drug induced because I doubt a normal human being would betray their own species for a virus. -
Will the new monkey arena take over wildy?
Craven_Image replied to gunshafted's topic in General Discussion
When I timed it it seemed to be the same speed as wildy course but at 79 agility you never fail so that's a huge advantage so in the end it's probably faster. -

15 March 2006 - Hundredth Quest - Recipe for Disaster!
Craven_Image replied to Pirkka's topic in General Discussion
Didn't expect it at this time, didn't even expect the 100th quest for this week :) -
Sounds good to me, will make customer support responses much better because they'll hopefully be less of a flood of messages going to them regarding common questions.

I heard a while ago that wearing less armour increases the chances of you successfully pickpocketing an NPC so to clear the rumour I decided to test this out myself. I did two trials each having around 300 - 400 attempts at a pickpocket on a paladin. The first trial was without any items equipped. After 310 attempts I got 120 failed attempts and 190 successful pickpockets which is a: 38.7% fail rate with no armour on I then did it with full Torag and the obsidian shield on which gave me 232 fails and 202 successes which gave a: 53.4% fail rate with armour on So with such a huge gap I would say having armour on really does have a big affect on pickpocketing NPCs. Weight does not seem to have an affect on this by the way as when I did the trial without armour on I had over 100kg of armour in my inventory. You may or may not of known this but this will hopefully clear things up if you didn't.

The New Bird Egg (Everyone Just Tell Your Oppinion)
Craven_Image replied to Karmastocracy's topic in General Discussion
When I asked Jagex about them before farming came out they said they would have something to do with farming, they still don't have anything to do with farming but I've now got around 5 of each egg. -
I like Ahrim's the best - good for PKing with.

I gave away a white party hat back in RSC for some coal because of the transparent trade window (didn't notice I clicked on the hat).

A Proton is a nucleon not a particle, that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s beside the point if all the mass of the universe was pushed into something the size of a proton it would be a stellar black hole. I wouldn't be so sure about that second part; the object is always there whether someone observes it or not. I'll try and give a simplified explanation below. The difference being that if we don't observe it then we don't know its precise location (which is common sense) and is instead represented by a probability of being in a location. Every object in the universe is constantly interacting with other objects and these interactions affect the probability of the object being in a specific location; these interactions, might leave it a bit off centre to where it should be. When we decide to view something then it will most likely appear in the area of highest probability; we move from guessing where it is to making a precise measurement to where it is. Just to let you know, under the Copenhagen interpretation there is no real wave function; it is just a tool to help calculate probability. Well a proton may well be a nucleon but it still is a particle; a sub-atomic particle. Yes it's believed the universe was once the size of something around the size of a proton. It's thought that all 4 major forces (strong and weak nuclear forces, gravity and the electromagnetic force) were all combined into one super-force at this stage. Space and time were also thought to be combined together rather than working dependently off one another. In these situations you can't use the current laws of physics to predict that it would just be a blackhole. The Cosmic Background Radiation produced results on this it's called cosmic inflation - where the universe expanded from microscopic to cosmic size. Your explanation of the Copenhagen experiment forgets to mention the experiments done on the individual photon. You seem to be stating the results of the photon wave which I understand; it's probability as you said. The experiment which i'm talking about is when they placed photon detectors on each of the holes on the walls. Only when they did this did the photon act as a particle instead of a wave; because it was being observed.

Please use the appropriate boards, this board is off topic and discusses anything other than RuneScape.

discussion regarding jagex's latest poll

I've had the max quest points ever since the start of RS2 I like to get quests out of the way so I get at least a small sense of completion from RS. -
Hidden update: New Stuff with Bob the Cat!!
Craven_Image replied to hobobob7's topic in General Discussion
Interesting find, they still need to make use of that mouse trap though :( -
I remember there being a bug where you could get outside the CW waiting area and walk around as a rabbit, imp or sheep. I think you had to die of poison whilst as an animal.
