  1. Max hit is 19 however magic bonuses do not affect damage only the accuracy of the spell. I think the max damage for this spell increases from 17 to 19 if you're over 90 magic although i've never tested this as i've been over 90 magic since the spell came out.
  2. Goto Ilfeen, there's two locations because she moves between them like those other 2 elves so if she's not in one place just wait a while:
  3. Please don't post any pictures of the J-mod control panel as it is confidential information. By all means discuss the bug but try and keep any information to yourselves.
  4. Once the supplies run out on current essense supplies I can see the price going up until supply meets demand once again. At the moment the price has only gone up because of the expected price rise. It will take a while for the price to go up due to there still being plenty of essense from F2P still in circulation, once runecrafters use this up the price of pure essense will go up.
  5. The only place i've seen the zammy wizard is the rock crabs (other than the wilderness) coord. Saradomin appears everywhere else. On a different note i've noticed i'm getting much more level 3 clues than I did before although it may be luck.
  6. I suppose each has their own preferances and although I do agree with you on duelling I think there's alot more advantages compared to RS2s disadvantages compared with RSC. In RS2 for example some advantages are; more skills, more map area, a lot of monotony removed IE fishing no longer requires you to click for each attempt, same with many other skills such as mining and woodcutting also new weapons, new armour and the advantage of having weekly updates are to name a few. There's certainly not any advertisements for RS in the UK but it would be interesting what their marketting ploy would be :) . In fact they stated (or boasted) at a presentation I went to here in the UK that RS was never once advertised and the numbers that they have achieved in terms of popularity was entirely by word of mouth. I do think that RSC was shunted a little more than it should of been and should of been left for the players who preferred that version.
  7. The floor means simply to round down I think it's a method within javascript which rounds numbers down. What the sigma is basically saying is calculate each levels experience points and add them all together. So basically for level 1 you do: x = the level you want (1 + 300 * 2 ^ x/7)/4. All of that is then rounded down. For level 2 you do the same procedure as before however the number you get from that is added to the previous calculation. So basically you're doing the (x + 300*2^x/7/4) for x = 1 then doing the same thing again but for x = 2 then adding the 2 results together to get the experience needed for level 2.
  8. I think you'll find that if you play the game you'll notice that it certainly isn't about the graphics, it's the gameplay and I can assure the gameplay is better than RSC. It just takes getting used to and as seen myself by so many 'loyalists' to RSC they all eventually come back to the real RS - RS2. It's a matter of getting used to a new game you've played for so long; not a gameplay issue. There's so many games out now that have superior graphics to RuneScape - none of them interest me and to bring an issue of simply the improvement of graphics up is not really the best case for RS2 since they didn't just update the graphics system from the conversion from RSC to RS2. The main reason for this decrease in the average age and thus average maturity level is because of the affliate with miniclip.com; dragging lots of youngsters into RS. I'm still unsure why they want younger people on this game when this game, if anything is suitable for all ages, however, that is what Jagex wants. This has nothing to do with the gameplay and the game itself however. The people who play the game are not what makes the gameplay of the game, people come and go, you can't judge a game on the people who play it, judge it on it's own game play. Same goes for the community the programmer can't program a community, there's so many RS communities nowadays; small and large it shouldn't be hard to find different ones. The simplicity is still there - it's the same interface and the same controls. It just takes getting used to, I rememeber thinking the same when RS2 first came out and it took me ages to do things effectively until I could remember where everything was. Again, I remember when RS2 and RSC was side by side so many people went to RSC because of the existing playerbase being so used to RSC the people complained so much about it because they couldn't get to grips with the new interface. To me it's like getting a new car; the car in terms of performance and features is hugely improved, however the pedals of the car are inversed, people complain and say the cars poor because they can't get used to it when in-fact it's much better than the original car however it takes some time getting used to, same goes for the transition between RSC and RS2. If popularity has nothing to do with it as you previously said why are arguing over the reasons why which one is more popular? Although the way you've worded it is rather misleading, the only advertisement they've got is through word of mouth and miniclip. Gaming magazines were not endorsed by Jagex themselves and just shows that the game is catching the eyes of editors of popular gaming magazines unlike RSC. As said by Andrew at the beggining of RS2; RS2 was built majorly around the structure of autoer detection systems. If anything RS2 has decreased the number of autoers. The auto detections systems are certainly better than RSC. I personally don't think the gameplay of a game should be governed by the people who play it, a game may attract different types of players however it's the same old game - the coding hasn't changed. I personally find the RS2 community fine as it is with the clan world much more developed than in RSC, giving it much better and varied communities then RSC ever had. RSC had little or no future - the game was being updated relatively infrequently when it was the leading game because of Andrew being the only one who understood the structure of the code. RS2 changed this along with many other things to make a much better game.
  9. All Jagex said was that it would come out some time in 2007 or at least beta versions of it. A whole new development team has been bought in but they wouldn't name the game.
  10. Although I'm not a fan of star trek I did enjoy this which is saying something. Normally if I encounter bad wording or bad English I stop reading on; that never happened. Good story :)
  11. Favourite special is the dagger spec especially against unarmoured people. With those new barrows gloves i've hit 32, 29 with a spec so you can hit some of the highest damage in the game with a bit of luck and a cheap dagger.
  12. I think they may be developing the Zaros storyline further. The latest quest; Soul's Bane is based around the power of Zaro's which is what the evil was which was based there which was mentioned by Tolna.
  13. Hey, welcome to the Tipit Forums. You'll find a wealth of knowledge here often most of the material based on the main site comes orignally from here. If you'd like to ask any RuneScape related questions use the help and advice forum. Here's a good list of guides available on the forums (that's if your P2P).
  14. Maybe for you, but for the other 2 million people who play RS2 instead; RS2 is better. I remember when RS2 first came out, there were so many people against RS2, I was even against it slightly and it was all because people couldn't get used to it not because the gameplay was worse. Also it shows how poor the community in RSC was if they're true motives were only in the interests of autoing on the game and without the policing around anymore they'd prefer to destroy the game rather than prove to anyone that they were the best of the community.
  15. Dragon claws are already out; how else do you think dragons inflict melee damage  Would be nice to wield them though black claws look good but apart from that I wouldn't class them as a serious weapon.
  16. The funniest one I find is the 'bugged attack/defence levels' it's funny how people believe 96 attack is better than 99 attack. When really it's just that the difference between 96 and 99 is so huge in terms of experience that when compared to the real affects (which are barely noticible) it doesn't seem worth it.
  17. Sounds quite a poor behind the scenes. Yet again, they're aiming for the younger audience by mentioning tortoises and a kid stuck down a hole. No interesting updates this month however the wilderness updates sound semi-good. I'd prefer if they'd just stop doing behind the scenes because then we wouldn't have to expect poor updates, instead, we could hope for good updates each week.
  18. I remember mysteriously losing items and finding myself in Lumbridge when I used to do barrows near to when it came out. As the prices have dropped now I don't bother going but Dharok was the one I was always wary of especially as I didn't use prayer back then.
  19. That's from the recruitment drive quest. One of the trials is to take a chicken, some seed and a fox across a bridge and the guy who watches you do the trial is Sir Spishous I think
  20. I agree, people need to support one another and show Jagex that we need updates which last not updates which are created for the sake of being updates. The updates they do now seem to be created simply for them to have the ability to say 'we update our game weekly'. Rather than having meaningful updates.
  21. This should be in the rate this board. These boards are for discussion of movies and music in real life.
  22. As easy as it sounds to add this, it would be just as easy for an auto software developer to just add some code in to press the button when it detects a request.
  23. I've been killing Nechs and for 2 tasks (each one with 140+) i've not got one pair of rune boots.
  24. Haha, nice post. Reminds me of the people who complain about dying in the wilderness; did they forget the wilderness warning sign?
